Without reservations, we knew to go later in the evening (~9 PM), and luckily, we were able to get a table from a no-show. La Casina Rosa is a small place, no more than 10 or so tables. The ambience was comfortable and intimate, and with the wall painting of what looked like Tuscany, one could imagine having a decent Italian meal. The server was friendly but slow in attending us. We ordered a house salad, "Pizza Casina Rosa" (tomato, mozzarella, spinach, garlic, and parmesan), and "Tagliatelle alla Molisana" (lamb, mushrooms, cherry tomatoes, and rosemary). The food was nothing out of the ordinary, but it was delicious. I love the combination of Molisana. The unfortunate mishap came when our server completely forgot our salad. We could have forgone the salad, yet we still asked for it when our entrees came. Instead of bringing the salad during our meal, the server brought it after we finished our dishes. It was literally having salad as dessert. That was a first for me. After the salad, the server didn't come back to check on us for anything else, so after some time, we forwent the actual dessert, paid our bill, and left. Perhaps this place is overhyped or we just had an unusual experience.

The bread was lightly toasted and flavorful and the tomatoes, Ripe! Followed by the Truffle Ravioli. Chefs kiss! The pasta was cooked perfectly and the cream sauce was divine. I ended with the pistachio tiramisu, which, although not incredibly authentic, still delicious! This restaurant deserves a 4.5 / .5 star due to the servers cutting and touching the bread with unwashed hands. I could have eaten here every night.

My partner and I loved it so much we ate there three times! The best part is probably choosing how spicy you want your curry sauce. I thought I would be able to handle the spice but I was struggling at a 5. Either way, 3 is a good pleasantly mild spice level. The prices won't hurt your wallet either and there is plenty of seating or standing room to eat. Great small casual place!

For roughly $5, you get a 15" pizza with a few toppings - obviously the price goes up if you get a more complicated pizza. They're cooked in under 10 minutes in a pizza oven, and it was a great, high-quality treat if you wanted something non-Doner, or non-German food. My husband got a BBQ pizza, and I got the Napoli one. Both delicious, and a cheap treat. The woman who worked there spoke English well, and was pleasant. Totally recommend.
