From what I could figure out, it was an ice cream ball with a layer of chocolate gelato and vanilla center covered in cocoa powder. I've visited Classico Italiano twice now, during separate visits to Germany and the food is consistently delicious. To start, we ordered the Carpaccio. For dessert, we split the Amaretto Sundae made with scoops of amaretto & chocolate gelato and topped with whipped cream, amaretto flavored wafers, amaretto liquor & chocolate shavings. This dessert is decadent but very deliciously so. The wafers became soaked with the amaretto liquor and added a nice texture to the wonderful softness of the gelato. A 5 star dessert.
