You don't come here for famous Windsor Style pizza. This is a place for fast, cheap pizzas for the University community.

Must try: Detroiter!…read more Why: That's some dang good pizza! Detroiter had Wisconsin brick cheese, pepperoni, tomato basil sauce, and Parmesan cheese. There was a nice subtle spice kick to it. Love the crispy edges and gooey cheese. Savored each bite and devoured all 4 pieces. Notes: I ordered via DoorDash and it originally said 30 mins but it was done in less than 20 mins. Worker was welcoming and friendly at takeout counter. I took it back to my hotel only a couple blocks away and the pizza was still hot. Def coming back for more when I'm back in town.

The location is great. The design is good. There were many employees and it seemed constant -- constant, not busy. I left my headphones and asked a server to simply ask if any of her co-workers had any. A half hour later, I asked her about headphones again, and she told me the restaurant was busy and she didn't ask. I thought wow -- sister-to-sister, you didn't even bother to ask. I told her I would buy them, rent them, I just needed to jump on a Zoom. I jumped on anyway, I just couldn't participate the way I wanted to. The restaurant has a bar of about a dozen stools. There was one bartender. In all my life, I've never seen a bartender move this slowly. I don't know if it was me, but she definitely found every excuse she could to wait on me last. Most bartenders are very personable, a bit flashy, competent . . . she was slow, flat and dare I say, she doesn't like her job? I was blown away. I'm glad I made it to Buddy's. I will never go back. I will not recommend this location.

The pizza has this really good sweet-and-spicy sauce, and I loved the honey butter crust--so good. Everything was delicious and I'd definitely recommend it. Only issue: I really wish there was an option to pay in person. Having to scan your phone and pay that way isn't for everyone--there should be some kind of in-person payment option too. I don't know what this man's intentions were, but he could've came up to me and just simply asked "are you doing okay? is there anything i can do for you?" instead of scooping me out as if i was getting ready to commit a crime. as I spend more time being back in my home in Detroit, i'm just not understanding why it's too difficult to receive decent and humane customer service. i'm just in complete concern & dismay due to this experience, do so much better.
