Admittedly I typically go for a plain ol' pepperoni but they were sold out so I went with what I think might have been a daily special, a philly cheesesteak slice topped with thinly sliced steak with peppers and onions. Haven't dined in in the main dining room yet but if it's anything like the slice counter, I can imagine it's gonna be great!

The staff were polite and helpful, even to the point of letting me know the mushrooms were canned and not fresh. Overall I would recommend Krusty's and only give it 3 stars due to atmosphere and under cooked dough. Both are easy fixes and I will adjust my review when that happens.

I had my first slice of Detroit Pizza in Austin Texas around 7 years ago and told myself to get some while in Detroit. 7 years later, I fulfilled the promise and went to one of the legendary Detroit pizza joints, Buddy's. Yes, some locals will argue other places are better. Yes, I went to the Downtown location rather than the original. But I got some immaculate food. Plus the location is kept nice, clean, and homey. We only needed to split a pie amongst us. We ordered garlic bread and soup to start. What I really liked was the ability to customize the pies. For example, I liked the Sicilian Pie, but wanted it made vegetarian. They fulfilled the request and it was really really good. I think we got there around 6 and were done by 7. Can't ask for more.
