Capri Pizza! Windsor!
Gordon J.

Lived up to my childhood memories! What a satisfying experience! One thing that was even better was the service(?!?!) it was like every kid working in there was an owner. They were all so proud of the product! Legend!

Cooked just the way we asked. Perfection!!!

Been going to Capri Pizza for decades. Capri Pizza has never let out our family down. Great Customer service [quick and attentive], great pricing [most economical way to feed the family]. Great pizza. Its an anchor in the neighbourhood when it comes to pizzerias. Best pizza around. PERIOD!!!!! I'd eat Capri pizza every day if my wife let me.

Half supreme/ Half Soprano...crispy deliciousness!

I found this place on my cousin's recommendation who used to live in Windsor for quite a while. They have Windsor style pizza which includes shredding the pepperonis which makes every bite tasty! It was very good, not greasy, crispy crust and 2 pieces filled me up. We ordered a large for 4 people and it was more than enough. At least 5 could share a large. At first I found it a little pricey, but after I picked up the pizza it is a very rich and like I said five people could split a large. On our pizza we had half supreme and half soprano. I was a little disappointed that I was not able to order a small boccini pizza as they were out of the cheese. I will order from here again and they deliver to the casino. Damn good Windsor style pizza!

I do a lot of traveling so I am eating out a lot. I can honestly say this is one of the better pizzas I have had. Chicago and NYC would have some stiff competition with this pizza.. If you love pizza like I do check this out.....

Good traditional Windsor pizzas. They have been around since the 1940s!! Personally, I prefer New York Style than Windsor style.

Pizza was disgusting. Undercooked, flavourless, barely any cheese. Really gross, had to throw it out.

The people who took us out picked the toppings. But when I started eating the pizzas I was impressed! It was so good, and I now understand that Windsor style pizza is a thing. We had canolis too, and it was one of the best canolis I've ever had. One of the locals ordered some to go because the knew how good they are. I took one home to my wife and she was sold. They have multiple locations which is nice too.

Antonino's Original Pizza - South Windsor: Pizza That'll Steal Your Heart!…read more Holy smokes, Antonino's Original Pizza at 4350 Howard Avenue is my new food crush! This family-run joint has been slinging Windsor's legendary thin-crust pizza since '59, and I'm dying for more. That crispy, cornmeal-dusted dough is straight-up addictive--crunchy, chewy, and topped with their fiery, tomato-packed sauce and melty Galati mozzarella. Toss on that shredded pepperoni, and I'm starving already! I got a split pizza--Angry Hawaiian and Angry Canadian with extra basil. The Angry Hawaiian was a spicy-sweet dream with juicy pineapple. The Angry Canadian? Oh man, bacon, mushrooms, and that peppery sauce had me eating non-stop. The taste vibes were unreal. Every crust was golden, crispy perfection. And to top it all off those fresh-made cannolis with my Italian espresso? Creamy, sweet heaven--I think I'm going to go past there tonight and get some more! The vibe's warm, the staff's like your best buds, and curbside pickup's super quick. I also noticed in the menu some Gluten-free options to keep everyone happy so that was nice too. Antonino's is really a Windsor pizza done right. I'm counting down to my next slice!

I was in town for a volleyball tournament and we finished late. What is the go to at that point?…read more Pizza of course. I quickly searched for gluten free options near me and Mootz Pizzeria popped up. I ordered the Beast of Burden. It was soooooooo good. My teen daughter even devoured it and she's usually a picky pizza eater. My only negative is not ordering more food! This was one of the best gluten free pizzas I've had. Thank you Mootz Pizzeria for finding a way to master pizza for us that can't have gluten.

The vibe was lovely and fun on a Saturday night. We started with the burrata, which was excellent. It wasn't just a basic arugula and burrata situation, it was well seasoned with a really nice olive oil, lemon, and balsamic combination that made it feel elevated. It also came with baguette slices, but those are made with their pizza dough (which contains eggs). Once we mentioned my egg intolerance, our server was incredibly kind and checked with the kitchen, and they were able to make alternative slices using their gluten-free dough. Really appreciated that extra effort. The Grandma's Pizza (we did it on the gluten-free crust because of the egg) was pretty good. The crust itself was solid, especially for gluten-free. The toppings leaned heavier on the cheese than the sauce, and I didn't love the cheese as much, but it was still an enjoyable dish overall. Service really stood out -- everyone we interacted with at the bar was friendly, attentive, and accommodating.

This location has a really cool, modern feel to it -- clean design, updated décor, and a lively downtown vibe that makes it a fun spot to grab a bite. It's a great place to meet up with friends or coworkers, especially if you're already in the area. The service is cool. The atmosphere definitely feels more contemporary compared to the original, and I appreciate how they've given it its own personality while still keeping that classic Buddy's quality. The food has been consistently good every time I've gone -- you really can't go wrong here. That said, I still prefer the original location. There's just something special about Buddy's Rendezvous -- the history, the character, the authentic feel. There's nothing like the original. Overall, the downtown location is pretty cool and absolutely worth visiting, especially if you like a more modern setting. But for me, the original will always have that extra charm.

It wasn't even the food because the pizza was okay. The service really didn't hit it off for me at all though. It was a late night and it was about to be closing time in the next hour from when I was sitting down but I only sat at the bar just to grab a bite. I didn't even want any drinks. We sat down and we waited for water for a while and then it took a while to get our order taken, which was already inconvenient. I could see that we were the inconvenience because the bartender was already cleaning up so we weren't getting as much attention as we could have gotten. Even though we didn't really want anything except to put in an order for food. The bartender acted like we were stopping him from working to close the bar, which I can understand. At the same time you're not supposed to let your customers know that you feel a way about them sitting down. The food came super late as well so that also was not really a good experience. It shouldn't take 30 minutes to get one pizza pie out of the oven especially when it's an empty restaurant, just about because everybody's about to leave so there wasn't a crowd. The only thing that I give 3 stars as a par for is just because the pizza was pretty good but for everything else I wasn't super pleased last time I was at home. It was opening day weekend the last time I was there and I am sure that everybody was taking a beating because downtown was so lively but at the same time you never let your customers know.

I don't know what this man's intentions were, but he could've came up to me and just simply asked "are you doing okay? is there anything i can do for you?" instead of scooping me out as if i was getting ready to commit a crime. as I spend more time being back in my home in Detroit, i'm just not understanding why it's too difficult to receive decent and humane customer service. i'm just in complete concern & dismay due to this experience, do so much better.
