100% selected this pizza place based on Yelp reviews and they were spot on. We were traveling through Grand Junction and needed lunch. This restaurant is a couple of minutes off the interstate. Decor is basic but clean. Restrooms were clean. Restaurant employees were pleasant and attentive. While you eat off of paper plates, the food itself is delicious. We had to try the jalapeño cheese bread and it couldn't have been better. A little thicker crust on that (compared to thinner on pizza) with what tasted like olive oil on the crust, Italian seasoning and lots of gooey cheese. Thinly sliced jalapeños gave it great taste with just a hint of spice. The pepperoni pizza was flavorful with the crust having a good chew. My husband told me he'd found a special spot for us to go get a meal. We are visitors to Grand Junction, Colorado, as we stopped to visit with family. When he pulled up to PizzAmore, I thought he'd lost his mind. However! He'd learned that they do have some vegan cheese available. Since I dearly like breathing, and my lungs do not appreciate cheese or dairy products, this was quite a lovely surprise. Don't get me wrong, I do not love most vegan cheeses at all. But to find a pizza place that was inclusive for my dietary needs? That was amazing and worth an additional star just for that. For weeks of our RV journey, I've been craving a Hawaiian pizza. But I didn't have any kind of a good vegan mozzarella. so finding a restaurant with the palatable, vegan mozzarella, was a lovely surprise. The pizza itself was quite tasty. It was very well cooked, and even the crust had a good flavor. Our total for 2 personal pizzas and two drinks was $38 if I remember correctly. However, my husband did not love his veggie pizza. We both expected it to have a lot more vegetables on it. At the time that we were leaving the young man serving was making a veggie pizza that had a lot of veggies! So I think maybe we ordered incorrectly. Before leaving, I did talk to the owner about buying really excellent vegan cheese from rebelcheese.com. They just came out with their mozzarella, and I ordered two as they came with other cheeses, and I am so happy! It taste like real mozzarella! Unfortunately, they don't make the same cheese consistently. They have quite the rotation. But the PizzAmore pizza with that would be mind blowingly delicious!! ( my wife wanted to try something local other than Hot Tomato or Pablo's Pizza ) So, First the good - Friendly person at the register. The rest ... the pizza looked like a crime scene ... waaay too much red sauce... splattered everywhere! No other flavor - No olive oil- basil & a smattering of mozzarella...All I taste right now is a tsunami of red sauce. A Margherita Pizza is supposed to represent the colors of the Italian flag ... this work of art? Was street flag graffiti with one color that would make Canada and China proud! Pizza has the perfect amount of grease on it., pepperoni was nice and crispy. Hubby never eats his crust and did with this pizza. We got 1/2 cheese and 1/2 pep. We also got a cannoli which was very yummy. Next time we'll prob go to tho establishment so that we can have it fresh and not 15 min cold from the DoorDash drive. read more

When I tell you this was one of the best cheese pizzas I've had!!! They did not skimp on the cheese and the crust was amazing because I don't eat crust!!! The portion size was nice and the freshly made Caesar salad was good too. It was easy to order online and have it delivered to the hotel. The service was prompt, they were friendly when I called to add something. The prices were reasonable. A guest at the hotel told me they had great pizza and were still open at that time. We are visiting from Northern Minnesota. Our son chose this place. We called ahead and ordered a cheese pizza for the grandkids. And a FANTASTIC carnivore pizza for the "big kids". Man. PizzAmore at the Mesa Mall needs to better train their staff. I ordered 4 slices of pizza to go expecting them to be in a pizza box. When I went back to pick up my slices I was informed "2 of your slices are ready and we're out of pizza boxes". No offers of how I was to transport 4 slices of pizza by myself out to my car. I purchased the slices to be eaten at home. The staff just kept saying they were out of pizza boxes. I was annoyed that they couldn't come up with my suggestion on their own.... We came here because our first choice restaurant was closed Christmas Eve and I'm glad we did!! They have several options, the usual pizzas as well as some of their own. They have gluten free and cauliflower for crust options. We got the carnivore with a gluten free crust and the basil chicken pesto. We LOVED the carnivore. It was tasty, juicy and overall delicious. The pesto was interesting with the pesto sauce, basil, feta cheese and maybe garlic? But I couldn't have more than one slice of it because it felt heavy. Pizza is decent, we have ordered from here several times but usually delivery. There's nothing that makes me leave a negative review faster than rotten service. I stood patiently in line behind the customers with a tremendous amount of questions and inability to make a decision, when all I needed to do was pay for my carryout order. I must be invisible because you tried to serve the people who had just walked in before me. Then you ask if I'd like plates, napkins, crushed red peppers, or parmesan. I said crushed red pepper and parmesan sounds good as I finished leaving a 10% tip for my carryout order... I look down to see 1 packet of parmesan and 1 packet of crushed red peppers for my $52 order. Why even ask if that's how cheap you are? As I open my mouth to ask for more I got a terse, have a nice day... But it wasn't the friendly kind.. It was the get out of the way, I want to serve these other people that matter. Delicious food with great service! My husband and I just got into Grand Junction yesterday and I was suddenly craving pizza for dinner. We found this place on Yelp given all the great reviews. Another plus was that it wasn't too far from where we were staying. We placed our order online, which was really easy and quick. It was ready for pick up exactly when the website said it would be. I even received a text message saying that our food was ready. When we walked in, we were immediately greeted by the courteous staff. He promptly gave us our food and provided us plates, napkins, Parmesan cheese, and chili flakes upon our request. We got the Basil chicken pesto pizza, garlic bread with marinara sauce, and boneless chicken wings with bbq & ranch rub. Everything was delicious with top notch ingredients! You will notice a don't review many places. This is because most places are pretty average. PizzAmore is far above average. If you are a Calzone lover you will love PizzAmore's Calzones. I ate my first Calzone in the Seattle area 30 years ago and loved it. I have never found one that was even close until I ate the Calzone at PizzAmore. So glad we were recommended to come here by our hotel staff. It was absolutely delicious. Looks just like the pictures online and was very wallet friendly. Staff was super nice and welcoming and the place was very clean and well taken care of. It is a mom and pop local pizza shop who are putting in the effort and not trying to overcharge!
