I was traveling with my husband and relatives and we were in search of some pizza. Pablo's came across our radar and it was a great choice. We parked a couple streets away as it was farmer's market night and there were loads of folks in downtown GJ. We walked to Pablo's and were promptly welcomed in. It was a Thursday early evening and this place was hopping! There were folks waiting for carryout and folks seated and enjoying their food. We ordered at the counter and headed over to get our beverages. It was not a long wait for our piping hot pizza to come out. We chose "The Usual" which comes with red sauce, mozzarella, crisp green and red bell peppers, pepperoni, sausage, onions, black olives and mushrooms. They were accommodating of my allergy and left off the mushrooms for us. The pizza was tasty with a wonderful chew on the crust. I appreciate that they had a foil dispenser for leftovers when an entire box is not needed. The ceiling was really neat, looked like metal panels. Overall great experience. read more

We placed a larger order to go and they ran about 20 minutes behind. They are popular and wait times can be long. The cookies are great and should be added to any order. We tried the weekly special "Taylor & Travis," it was very good with peaches and jalapenos. Also the meat pizza with ricotta, Chupacabra (bring back the shrimp) and the loaded potato pizza. Stopped in Grand Junction on our pass through to Denver for a quick lunch downtown. I had a veggie salad w chicken and it was delicious and fresh. The creamy Italian dressing (although not a vinaigrette as offered) was so good too! My daughter had the pizza/salad lunch special and loved her pepperoni pizza which was thin and crispy. My husband had a pepperoni calzone and though it took a good 25 minutes to prepare it was fresh and doughy and delicious. A great stop in Grand Junction and would definitely recommend! read more

We visited for the first time on our way through Grand Junction, after reading reviews on Yelp. It's a nice little eclectic restaurant with a good menu. They serve pizza by the slice at lunch time. We ordered a medium "the usual" and one soda and a water. It was around $25 with tax. They have a Coke machine with a large variety of drinks if that is important. What we liked: the crust and sauce. What we didn't like: the young woman who took our order had plastic gloves on while operating the cash register, taking payments, then she immediately (with the same plastic gloves on), grabbed the pizza dough and started making our pizza - she didn't change her gloves. Yuck! This is very important, change your gloves! We also didn't like the vegetables on top of the pizza as the peppers, onions and mushrooms were barely cooked and still very firm. It would be better if the cheese was on top. Parking was a bit difficult downtown and we had to pay for a spot. I don't think we will be back as there are other options in town. read more

As a pizza fan I have to admit this time around was disappointing. The place was not busy at all, for the time that we had to wait to get the pizza. Self service restaurant that I personally not enjoy but if it works for them, congrats. The guy working on the Dow came to the register to help the lady in front of me, he did not remove the gloves, and start working the register machine, charged the person, handed her a plastic number, turned around open the glass showcase, no tongue on view, pick up 2 slices and put it in the oven. Turn around to take my order to repeat the same steps. Proceed to ordered and sat at the table in front of the counter to see the disparaging act in full display. He turned around picked up the tickets from the machine and hang it on the counter for the other person to see and prepare orders I guessed. Guy walked to the back to pick up supplies, then came to the front and started to work on the Dow again with the same gloves for god sake. Touching his apron, touching his pants, and the other person working next to him was repeating the same operation. I was petrified and disgusted, but shame on me for not saying anything and allowing him to prepare the food I was about to eat 20 minutes later. The plastic bin to place the silverware and the dirty dishes right at the front and pilling up, lord what a mess. And yes, you guessed that right, I was sick to my stomach later. Pablo's pizza was a little place we decided to stop for some appetizers. We had the cheesy bread & fried raviolis. This place! It was so good!! Thankfully we beat the pizza rush when we got there because it gets pretty busy with probably a lot of take out orders a little closer to dinner time. Also, grab a table right when you get there if you plan on eating there. They don't have a big place so it fills up quickly. Our appetizers took a little longer than expected, but I suppose good food takes time. Fried ravioli's were cooked to perfection. I loved the with both marinara sauce & ranch. Cheesy bread was super cheesy & delicious with both sauce options. Staff was so nice & patient with our indecisiveness. Nothing disappoints me more then non consistency. I visited Pablo's pizza and had such an amazing delicious pizza so I ordered agin tonight but for take out. Ordered the unicorn force pizza again simply for the pine nuts because it was delish. Added pics of one with and one without and you can clearly see no dang pine nuts. Got my pizza home and sadly there is no pine nuts and I am bummed that I didn't feel that I had to check my pizza for accuracy. Service was great of course. This was the best restaurant we found downtown Grand Junction. We didn't try all the restaurants so I am sure there are more but we had dinner there 2 nights we liked it that much. The Greek salad was amazing as an appetizer to share. We had 4 different pizzas btw us. Loved the thin crust! They offer gluten free on 12" and cauliflower/parm crust on 8" only. We had regular crust - amazing! The ingredients we so well matched to make whatever pizza you got amazing, full of flavor!!. I really recommend the Baba-Yaja, Cheap Art and Sweet Caroline. The Usual is great but normal style pizza. My hubs choose that one , I really wanted to try John Rainbow!! Enjoy this place it was awesome. If anybody knows me and my posts, they know that I like Pizza. I don't drink beer. I don't eat cake and I don't like sweets but I like pizza. While visiting Grand Junction for work, I found Pablo's pizza. It had great reviews, but most importantly the locals really liked their pizza. I had the Santa Fe pizza and I lived ended up with some pepperoni. What a wonderful experience with all those vegetables, pepperoni and of course green chilies. The service is quick parking is easy and the ambiance is clean and open for seating. I am looking forward to returning to Grand Junction and Pablo's Pizza for another amazing pizza read more

He wanted pizza but not chain pizza. So we picked this restaurant as it had beer. Found parking a few streets over as the spaces close by were for hotel guests after 4pm. Took a menu and while he had a Basecamp The Leftovers IPA, I checked out the different pizzas. There is a huge selection and they also make gluten free crusts, cauliflower and vegan options. You can watch them make your pizza which I thoroughly enjoyed. Marshall was kind enough to let me film him making the dough. His toss was a little off but he made others after the one I filmed wonderfully. They were short staffed but they were friendly and polite. I chose the 18' The Santa Fe Way pizza which is mozzarella, red bell peppers, crushed red peppers, red sauce, spinach and mushrooms. To that I added pepperoni and Canadian bacon. I also ordered the cheesy pizza sticks. Those were not our fav. The pizza sticks didn't have any flavor at all and tasted like pizza dough dipped in red sauce. You can get ranch dressing as well. But they were meh. The pizza we ordered was delicious. Thin crust with a slight char at the edges. He didn't like all the veggies but I thought it was good. And they made it like how we wanted with the correct proteins. We bussed our own table as requested by signage. Got a box and packed our pizza leftovers. Lots of people ordered to go.
