Salad bar!!!
Joni R.

Pizzamania is our favorite neighborhood pizza place. No special toppings...just good basic pizza with a crust that's doughy in a good way. We like to take it home and heat it on a pan so the bottom gets crispy. The salad bar is also really good at an affordable price. And hubby likes to come for the lunch specials -- they have sandwiches and pizza slice combos that come with salad and a drink. Tonight we got a large pepperoni. When I walked in, Sergio knew my order. There is a good-sized seating area with TVs to watch the games and a few video games for the kids. It's not usually too crowded. Best part: fountain Diet Coke is 10/10.

Service was great! Good was good. Not my kind of pizza but we were hungry. It was busy but it was so hot inside. No AC.

Meatball Sandwich
Rudy M.

This is for the meatball sandwich. Their pork meat didn't taste all that great but overall the sandwich was saucy and cheesy to enjoy as a whole. It came with a small bag of chips.

Really good pizza tucked away in LBC. First time here, but very familiar with a location in Whittier with the same name and really liked their pizza so why not. Much smaller location, but food was pretty good and salad bar was a nice touch. Not a ton of options, but very fresh ingredients. The pastrami pizza was really good and loved how crispy the crust was. Wings were very good as well. Personally prefer a thinner crust, but for the style of pizza was very good and would return when in the area.

I think it's a perfect pizza spot next to the college for all the students. Great location, good prices and my daughter enjoyed the wings & pizza. I ended up getting sick the next day from the pizza but maybe it was just my stomach is sensitive. I'm not good with pizza that is too greasy. My daughter was fine.

Ordered this pizza randomly through Door Dash and it's the best pepperoni pizza I've had in a long time. Everything tasted fresh and it wasn't super heavy. I definitely like to visit Pizzamania in person.

I hadn't been to this pizza spot in a while, and omg their food is still so fresh and flavourful. I had their pastrami pizza with no onions and it was so good. The crust is crunchy and just made to perfection. We did a lunch special with an order of wings and a salad, which the salad bar had fresh ingredients. Love how friendly they are and how they come and check up on you to make sure all is good. Whenever back in LBC this is a must stop pizzeria. Their parking is still a bit hectic as it's shared with other businesses in the strip mall, be patient or try parking on the street.

Meat Lovers Pizza
David R.

We checked photos online for this restaurant and it looked like it was good. So we gave it a try and let me say, it doesn't disappoint at all. We got a pep and olive, meat lovers and a cheese. The toppings are fresh and tasty! The cheese is generous and stringy. And the price is extremely fare for the quality. I will definitely be ordering from here again!

It's a really good pizza place I would go here with my cousin and uncle after getting out of school back in 2011 and it still states delicious same formula

We eating good...in the neighborhood. Also, pizza!

Is this the same pizzamania and owners as the one in Whittier/la Mirada area?

This was originally owned by the same people, but it was sold to new owners at some point in the late 90s or early 2000s.

Our order consisted of four SoCal fries (which are basically buffalo fries from The Buffalo Spot with a drizzle of cheese and ranch), a 10-piece nugget, a small fry, a large order of mozzarella sticks, a Thai tea, and a few sides of sauces. To speak bluntly, the experience turned sour for me as soon as I started placing my phone order. While I was ordering sauces, I was rudely cut off by the man working: "Yeah, yeah, anything else?" I felt like I was being rushed off the phone, even after mentioning it was my first time ordering and kindly asking questions about their sauces. The customer service here just overall gave me the ick. Anyways, onto the food. I was super excited for my SoCal fries. They have a variety of sauces to choose from, and I opted for the spicy BBQ. On first impression I was surprised with the generous portions. I ordered a small Socal fries that looked more like a medium. As soon as I dug into my meal, I was met with immediate disappointment; the popcorn chicken on my SoCal fries was extremely stale. It tasted as if they served us three-day-old fried chicken that had been left sitting out. My siblings and mom also agreed the chicken was super hard. I ended up just eating some of the fries and threw the rest away. Before tossing it, I tried drenching the fries in their Cajun sauce (which is over $1 per sauce, btw), and even though I really wanted to like it, it had a weird aftertaste. On top of that, I just couldn't get past how hard the chicken was. The Thai tea, fries, and mozzarella sticks were just decent. I'd also like to mention that when I was placing my order over the phone, the man said my total was $67 and some change. When I paid in person, the total somehow jumped to $83.69. I assumed that included the Cajun sauces I ordered over the phone, but it actually didn't. I ended up paying a second transaction for the sauces, which was around $8. Had I possibly been charged for the side of attitude I was also served? To reiterate: the service here sucks. Overall, I won't be back as the quality doesn't match prices. You'd think that a joint that specializes in fried chicken and wings would serve fresh chicken but on the contrary, my chicken was inedible, gross, and clearly old. I love supporting local businesses, but I refuse to support a place that exhibits rude customer service and serves subpar frozen food that I could throw together at home. I don't recommend this spot as there are much better establishments in the area.

I was missing a fish fillet, my shrimp was cold, my chicken was burnt but still ice cold, and my fries were so burnt that they were almost black and orange. To top it all off, the restaurant had the audacity to place a balled-up napkin at the bottom of my fries, as if it were supposed to make them look full. This experience was absolutely appalling and I highly do not recommend this restaurant under any circumstances.

Customers can also find Shlap Muan Chicken Wings at Smorgasburg at ROW DTLA every Sunday. [Parking]: Easy and free strip mall parking. [Atmosphere]: The shop has indoor tables but no TVs, so don't come here expecting to watch sports games. [Ordering]: I placed an online pickup order and my food was ready 5 minutes before my specified pickup time. [Menu]: For wings, there are pan sauces and wok sauces. Their popular Dirty Elvis flavor falls under the wok sauce category (wings tossed in a sweet and smoky caramel sauce). Each order of Dirty Elvis comes with a minimum of 10 wings, but customers can choose a split-flavor option with 5 pieces of Dirty Elvis and 5 pieces of another selected flavor with online orders. For Shlap Muan Wings (pan sauces), customers can order a minimum of 4 pieces per flavor and two highlighted flavors are Cambodian Dirt (lemon pepper) and Water Buffalo. *** Dirty Elvis (10 pieces total - Split Flavor on Cambodian Dirt - $16.00): Those 5 Dirty Elvis wings were absolutely amazing - crispy and saucy. The Cambodian Dirt (lemon pepper) wings were solid, but in hindsight I probably should have just doubled down and gone with all 10 pieces of Dirty Elvis. Shlap Muan Wings (4 Pieces - Water Buffalo, $6.50): The dipping sauce had a good spicy kick, but it definitely will not be everyone's cup of tea especially for people who (1) are not fans of Buffalo wings or (2) cannot handle a mild version of Sriracha spicy level. *** S-tier for the Dirty Elvis wings and A-tier for the Shlap Muan Wings. For anyone who is a fan of Korean fried chicken or even Vietnamese fried chicken like Mama Hieu's, then Shlap Muan Chicken Wings is definitely worth trying.

I will warn you that the buffalos is a bit spicier than expected, and tasted a bit different than what I had at their Smorgasburg booth. Nonetheless, I loved my meal. Overall, I love Shlap Muan's chicken wings. Service was also A+. I'll definitely be back

Our group of four had a chance to stop by for an early dine-in dinner, and found the chicken to well prepared and tasty. Originally founded in 1976 in Los Angeles by a enterprising franchisee who wanted to create his own fast food brand, Louisiana Famous Fried Chicken soon became very popular with LA residents. As sometimes happens with immigrant communities by word of mouth and 'paying it forward', the burgeoning Cambodians began to be the majority owners of franchisees, until it resulted in the brand being sold to a Cambodian in 2009. Considering the largest concentration of Cambodians outside of Cambodia is in Long Beach, California, I wanted to try this particular location. They also sell donuts here, and my credit card bill actually listed the donut shop as the vendor...this for me is not a selling point, but was not noticeable during our visit. It's a walk-up set-up, where you order/pay for your food through security windows. We ordered a 12-piece family combo for $35.45, which included 3 pieces of breast/thigh/wing/leg, 2 small orders of fries, a coleslaw and 6 rolls. They also sell fried catfish and shrimp, so got a 4 pc shrimp ($3.85). They only sell drinks by cans or bottles, so got 4 cans of Coke/Pepsi/Squirt. It is clearly stated that each order is fried fresh, taking about 20 minutes. Our order was ready in 15 minutes, and we decided to dine-in (a small makeshift outdoor dining area with temporary tables was set-up). The chicken was well brined and had been fried well (leaving plenty of space between the chicken), with the outer coat being crunchy with a little bit of spice. For me it tasted very similar to the popular national chain, but with more consistency. The 'small' fries were not that at all, but very large...with one being enough to feed the four of us. The fries looked underdone, but were not. There were no condiments available, so the saving grace was the thin hot sauce that you could dip your fries and chicken into. The rolls were forgettable, and the coleslaw was grocery store quality (which I actually like). In fact, the chicken and sides reminded me of what you could get at a grocery store deli, except always getting the chicken fresh, instead of ones that have been fried too many to a basket and sitting too long under a heat lamp. Freshness definitely matters here. There was plenty of food for the 4 of us, with us taking half of the meal home. It reheated very well, providing us a good lunch the following day.
