Bad pizza. I was completely misled by the 4-star rating on Yelp. The pizza that I ordered (Pepperoni & Mushroom) tasted like the dough portion had been baked/ovened prior to the toppings. It was like my pizza was a party that my toppings weren't invited to until it was halfway over. The dough portion was nearly rock hard while the toppings were undercooked. It was like the dough portion and topping portion were on two different time zones. However, I'm a reasonable man so I gave Pizza Stop Eating Here (yes, this IS the full name of this place) a second chance...same results, nearly identical to my first experience! The best part of this pizza was the end of it. I'm not talking about the crust, but the experience being over. My recommendation would be Victorio's Pizza on 145th, which deserves this 4 star rating much more than this establishment. read more

Very courteous phone rep. Good at confirming order (unlike a lot of places). Good menu selection and fair prices (see www.menupages.com ). Reasonable delivery time. Actually they made good time considering they are close by. I ordered a personal size pizza. It was probably the equivalent to a medium size pizza. Very generous in size. It was a relatively thin crust. If you order a pizza with four toppings, it will weigh your pizza down. Expect to have to fold your slices when you eat them (which isn't a big deal, but just letting you know). The pizza was nothing special to me. The green peppers I had as a topping did not seem fresh. Even Domino's peppers are better. The sauce was kinda blah. Reminded me of school cafeteria/frozen pizza sauce. I really wanted to love this pizza but it wasn't very good. I don't plan on ordering pizza from here again unless I'm really, really hungry and there are no other options available. I may order something else on the menu such as pasta (but I'm kinda afraid that they use the same sauce as they do on the pizza). Is this the best place for pizza in Harlem like other Yelpers have said? In my opinion, no. Try Oui Oui instead. I LOVE their pizza! However, if you like Pizza Stop, continue to support them. Its really nice to have options in Harlem (and not another dirty, smelly, greasy fried chicken joint). read more

Fast friendly service but didn't think the pizza was that good I thought it tasted like little league fundraiser pizza you know when your kids team goes out for pizza after the game? It wasn't bad pizza but I read the reviews and wanted to give it a try oh well ! I stopped in to pizza stop today for lunch with a friend. This cute little east harlem pizza place gives big portions at very reasonable prices. My friend and I each had a slice of cheese pizza. I loved the thin crust with just the right amount of pizza grease. The other pizza types looked good as well, and they had a variety of toppings. We also tried the garlic knots which were SO good and very filling. Pizza stop is located right across the street from Harlem Hospital which makes it the perfect spot for a quick lunch! Unfortunately, pizza stop does not have tables and chairs, so you'll have to make do with the three stools or take your pizza elsewhere to eat. read more

Hands down the best pizza delivery in the neighboorhood! Fast delivery, reasonable prices, fresh ingredients, excellent variety, and friendly people! This place is pretty wicked good. All the workers there are super friendly and know how to make a good pie. We ordered the buffalo chicken and grandma (and then that came with soda and some garlic knots). Both pizzas were amazing. The buffalo didn't overdo it with the hot sauce which is kinda easy to do so it was really well balanced with just enough bite. My wife even enjoyed it and she usually tends to steer clear of hot sauce. The grandma was even better to tell the truth (saying a lot if you know my feelings towards buffalo wings). The basil works really well with the sauce, cheese and drizzles of olive oil but everything is brought together by the pan crust which is the perfect balance between chewy and crispy without being greasy at all really. My only issue with the pie was that it I wanted some meat, but that's my problem, not the pizza's. The garlic knots were easily the best I've ever had which I would like to imagine is more of a reflection of how good this place is rather than the caliber of garlic knots I've eaten in the past. My only real issues with this place is that it's kinda far off the beaten path for me (I feel weird making special trips just for food... I'm kinda weird like that) and the place is infinitesimal. Like smaller than my living room by quite a bit. But all things considered, you're there for the pies and the pies here are killer. read more

Doesn't look like much walking in, but Pizza Stop is a pleasant surprise. We passed several other pizza spots on the way, but held out because the yelp reviews were so good here. We were not disappointed. We went with the NY style plain pie, which was a pretty good deal at 2 slices and a canned soda for $5. Had a nice crunch to the crust, with a decent amount of cheese. The sauce is delicate and on the thin side, but with a really nice flavor to it. Can't vouche for the taste of anything else, but I thought it was pretty cool they offered different types of pizzas, in case thin crust isn't your thing. It's positioned directly across from a pretty powerful mural, which made the view from the counter more interesting. read more

This place is awesome! The owner and employees are extremely friendly and accommodating- they'll make you a pizza *however* you want it! For example, my wife is vegan, and the owner personally made her a vegan pizza. Many of the other restaurants we've been to in NYC give her a weird look when they find out she's vegan, or they have no idea what ingredients go into their food. At Pizza Stop, they know exactly what ingredients are used and are flexible enough to accommodate different tastes/needs. The Grandma pizza is my personal favorite, and the strombolis are also a great (inexpensive) treat. The garlic knots are also a great addition to any meal that we order. read more

Pizza Stop is a small but very well known "spot" in Harlem. It is one of the few businesses i would encourage people to go to since their Pizza is nothing short but amazing. GET THE FOOD INSPECTOR!!! This food made me VERY VERY SICK and gave me a SEVERE STOMACH VIRUS to the point where I had to leave my job early because I vomited from their food. I've also had to run to the toilet because of their food handling techniques. Eaters beware!!! Pizza makers were coughing over the food and sneezing. They handle the money with they same hands they make the food with. Their attitude is so unprofessional. Before I knew of their filthy food handling practices I would order from there but I had to stop. If you try to arrange a pickup your food it will will not be there most of the time.
