We ordered to go. I think it's take out only right now. The pizza toppings were plentiful. The crust was very good (a little doughy underneath). I like a good, chewy crust. It was very good. It was a little pricy ($100), but 3 pizzas was enough for our family of 8 to have for two meals. The garlic knots were artery clogging, tasty goodness! Thank you pizza stop! Food was out 20 minutes after ordering. Employees were really friendly and suggested some of their favorites. We ordered the bbq chicken pizza on thin crust and it was good for the area. However we were really annoyed that our appetizer of fried mushrooms only included what seemed like a handful for $7 (picture attached). They weren't tasty either. Head to head battle: Pizza Stop vs Angel Fired Pizza A panel of myself and 5 friends (all from Texas) have just performed an exhaustive side-by-side pizza comparison of Pizza Stop and Angel Fired Pizza. We ordered a large Canadian bacon, pineapple, and jalapeño pizza at each restaurant. Below will be the review for each restaurant. TLDR: Go to Pizza Stop, it's way better. Angel Fired Pizza Quality/taste- The sauce was very flavorful, the crust was a bit bland, the toppings were unevenly spread, and the cheese was decent. It was compared (negatively) to Cici's and Red Baron. Price- $19.13 for a large 3-topping pizza. Lower than Pizza Stop by $4. Location- Not very walkable from the resort area, but has a large parking lot, so parking is not an issue. Customer service- The staff were very friendly, although they did seem a bit preoccupied, despite the fact that the restaurant was less than half full. They were very helpful in offering Parmesan and red pepper flakes. Ambiance- Very cool second floor restaurant with a nice outside patio. Well lit, clean, and very welcoming. However, there are some weird paintings on the wall. I guess if you like art you may be interested. Additional comments- Really enjoyed the restaurant name being a pun. Conclusion: If you are looking to choose a pizza place not based on pizza, go here. If you want good pizza, go to Pizza Stop instead. Pizza Stop Quality/taste- Everything about this pizza tasted fresh and delicious. Ingredients were great, crust was nice and thick on the edges. So much flavor. Price- $23.95 for a large 3-topping pizza. Higher than Angel Fired Pizza by $4 but worth it. Location- In short walking distance from resort area. Limited parking directly out front at peak hours. Customer service- Extremely friendly and welcoming. They make you feel right at home here. Even threw in some extra garlic bread with our order! Ambiance- Feels like your typical casual ski town pizza joint. Conclusion- Best of the two pizza joints in town. You'll pay a bit more, but it's totally worth it. read more

Family of 4 visiting Angel Fire for the first time. At first we tried to go to this place around d 1pm but the restaurant was closed even with the posted hours said it was open till 2 for lunch. Locals mentioned that the owner sometimes closes the establishment if by noon if he is not satisfied with traffic. They were open at 4pm for the dinner traffic.. We decided to try some of the local business and since this place was close to the Lodge, we ventured in :) The place is pretty run down, very small operation... We ate in, and ordered buffalo chips, two medium pizzas and an order of spaghetti. The Buffalo chips were ok, it is basically thick cuts of potatoes deep fried... They served the spaghetti burnt (see pic), guess they left the hot plate to long in the oven. The pizza was great... The regular crust is huge... But worth it. Next time we will order the pizza to go... But then again there are pizza places in the resort and town which we will try, because others (including locals) say is much better.... read more

The pizza smelled fantastic when we picked it up, and my son ate a piece in the car because the garlicky fragrance had our mouths watering. It was just ok. Too much cheese, not enough sauce, which made it heavy without enough flavor. The crust was ok. I unrolled the outer crust and pulled out the extra dough. The crispy top layer of that was nice. Overall, average quality, extremely expensive pizza. Not too bad for a small ski town without many options. If I have to order here again, I'll try the thin crust. read more

We are here for dinner and although understaffed was pretty quick and provided great service. Quite a few restaurants in this area either close for summer or slow way down due to the winter being so popular but this Place is consistently good. Pizza Stop is amazing and delicious! If you are spending time in Angel Fire, you need to check out Pizza Stop. Located just before entering the ski resort, it is nestled in a cute ski town. Pizza Stop is like walking into a home away from home, you are greeted by the family who owns and operates the restaurant. Make sure you saved up your appetite, their servings are large and menu is delicious. They offer a house salad with homemade salad dressings, garlic knots and thick crusted pizza that is delicious. Pizza stop has a small seating area up front but they do have an adjacent seating area that is comfy with TVs and there is no rush to leave. Great place for the family or if you want to grab a beer with friends. The owners were nice, service was great, clean and of course delicious pizza! If you want a traditional pizza place experience stop and eat at Pizza Stop! Quick tip: to get your NM fix, they recommend dipping your crust in the honey, sopapilla style..yum! read more

This is by far the best pizza in town, you can get a thick or thin crust. What sets the pizzas apart from most is a tasty dough and generous toppings. I have tried most of the menu offerings and they are all good. Nice folks that run it add to the restaurant. The times listed here are wrong, they generally open at 4:30 pm and are closed on Tuesdays, call for current times. I'd rather pay extra for good quality and support a small family business than pay for chain or frozen cardboard pizza. read more

Absurd. Myself and a group of 4 purchased two of their XL pizzas, assuming this would easily fill us up. Two pizzas cost us $70. The pizzas literally are the size of your standard commercial large pizza (16in). WHAT?! We are paying $5 per slice and could only offer 3 per person. When purchasing an entire pizza, you would think you would get to pay less per slice. The kicker: They charged us a $1.50 take out charge. $1.50 to WALK OUT THE DOOR WITH PIZZA. RIDICULOUS. The pizza was decent, but my group was literally forced to eat all of the crust, in order to fill up. Five people paid $70 and couldn't even get full. For the same price, we could have gotten 10 medium pizzas at Domino's. Next time we want pizza, we will be trying Angel Fired Pizza for the more reasonable pricing. It would be cheaper to drive to Taos to get 8 medium pizzas from Domino's (as long you get better than 15mpg at gas prices of $2.50 per gallon). The crust is fancy in appearance, but difficult to chew and is flavorless. It would be better if there was less crust. Maybe they could lower their prices if they didn't braid the crust. Toppings were adequate, but not any better than toppings you could get at another restaurant. Staff was not particularly friendly, but we didn't have a bad experience with them either.
