Buffet always is full. Salad bar is top notch most of the time. Dessert pizza is absolute fire. Fried chicken is always good. They often donate to various organizations so people from said organizations are running around bussing tables. Everyone's always super friendly and helpful. Occasionally one selection of salad might not look so great and the mashed potatoes need some seasoning, for some things that need improvement. Large parking lot is a nice bonus. This was our first visit to this particular Pizza Ranch, but we frequent the chain when we have the opportunity. If you want variety or have picky eaters in your life Pizza Ranch is a great option. When you enter, you pay the cashier. Children's pricing is based on age. At this time, you can also make personal requests for pizzas that you would like on the buffet. They will bring you the first slices and put the remainder of the pie on the pizza buffet. It's perfect in case there isn't something up there to your liking. Besides pizza there is a cold bar, fried chicken and a few other hot choices. The night we visited this particular Pizza Ranch it was crazy busy. The pizza was often out. We waited for just about everything to be filled and the restaurant could have used a bit of cleaning. But, it WAS a very busy night. Who would have guessed that the fried chicken would be the best buffet item from a place aptly named "The Pizza Ranch"? Seriously though, the chicken was pretty good. I even overheard a couple sitting next to us get a to-go order for a 12-piece chicken bucket after they were finished with the pizza buffet. I would describe the pizza itself as a very small incrimental step up from frozen 'Tombstone' pizza. It was just okay. The main thing going for the pizza is the variety. They set out a ton of different pizza options, and if you cannot find one that interests you, you can ask them to make a certain type of pizza to put out (they call it a 'guest request'). They have a salad bar and some other non-pizza options as well (mashed potatoes and gravy, fries, soup) but it was all very average tasting. One other thing - It seemed like there would be a mad dash for the desert pizza whenever they would set them out. You really have to watch the desert area like a hawk if you intend on getting a slice or two. read more

Do not have a birthday party here. We had a birthday party here that was a complete disaster. We are very frequent visitors to Pizza Ranch in large part because our young kids love it, so when it came time to plan a birthday party for them we thought it would be a great place to go. We booked the party room a couple of months in advance, and were told that if we had at least 30 guests, we would have the entire room at no charge. We were certain we would have that and informed them a week or so prior to the event we would have about 45. We got there 25-30 minutes early to set up and were shocked to find out our reservation was not only just for 30 people, it was to be shared with another group of 30 in the party room scheduled to arrive a half hour after us. Packed like sardines in there! No sympathy or apologies were offered, just comments like "I'm sure not everyone will show up". Once we very quickly filled up our 30 chairs and guests were still arriving we spoke to one of the managers. Our conversation with the manager, Nikki, was where things really went downhill. We asked if we could bring an empty table from the dining room or borrow from the other party who was already late and she refused. We suggested people could leave and be refunded and she said absolutely not. Nikki was cruel, unapologetic, rude, and I was in tears by the end of the conversation. Nikki should NOT be in management and helping with customer service. Nikki made us all uncomfortable. Fortunately we were able to keep things cheerful with the 3 and 6 year old birthday boys so they were able to have a good party despite the way we were all mistreated. To add insult to injury, the other party group was 30 minutes late and 9 people short. We could have borrowed some of their tables and it wouldn't have impacted them in the least. Not to mention the fact that the party room fire code allows for 50 guests, not 60 as they had planned for. read more

No really, take the pizza from one and add it to the chicken, salad bar, and mashed potatoes from another and you get The Ranch. Service: 5/5 - The wait staff is amazing. Hands down some of the best. They clean your plates with a smile. Food: Pizza: 2.5/5 - Just like CiCi's they've perfected the cheapest pizza possible while still being palatable. Wide variety, but on most cases I'd rather just get one good pie. With that being said, you just sometimes crave that greasy smorgasbord. Chicken: 4/5 - I was surprised by the chicken. It was well seasoned (actual paprika) and very tasty. The white meat was good, but the smaller dark meat pieces were similar to breaded hot wings. I'd actually think about coming here just for the chicken. Salad Bar and Side Dishes: N/A - I didn't try them. Price: 2.5/5 - It was $26 for Sunday Brunch and drinks (included) with coupon. Kinda expensive for a pizza buffet at lunch. Overall: Great place to bring a party or large family. This place is a mad house (extremely busy) and not really recommended for a couple. Not bad, but the 10mile drive makes it difficult to come often. This is the first Pizza Ranch we ever went to! Being from the East Coast we were used to Cici's for pizza buffets but out here they boast about Pizza Ranch so we had to check it out. This was our 2nd time back at this location a few days ago and we showed up 10 minutes before the buffet closed (fine by us since we just wanted to grab something to eat before our hour drive back). There were still plenty of options to choose from (a few different cheese pizza options) and, more importantly, they still had plenty of fresh fried chicken available. Like others, we also really enjoy their fried chicken here - my mom wants to go here JUST for the chicken, really! The hot items were warm/hot still and there were plenty of cold salad bar items available to choose from. **One thing that was strange to us this particular visit was there was some sort of religious pamphlet and donation cups at ALL of the tables that one of the staff members collected before closing. We are all about freedom of religion BUT to push it that way at EVERY table is a little unsettling...** Due to this I almost dropped rating to 3* but the food was still good both times we've frequented (and I'm too nice) so I am currently leaving it at 4*. If it had been a flyer on donating to a sick child or family in need we wouldn't have been disgruntled by this but REALLY?! Religious pamphlets do not belong on tables at a dining establishment. Maybe one table set up somewhere JUST FOR THIS would be good enough but by placing these items at EVERY table seems pushy and rude to us. My mom agreed as well. This place is such a great value for dinner buffet. We came around opening for dinner and paid about $12. This gets you a cup for soda and access to all the pizza, salad, fried chicken, and sides! They had stuffed crust pizza and man was it good! I would say the pizza quality is right in between the ranks of better than Toppers but less than Pizza Hut. The fried chicken is definitely a game changer. They have new batches every 20 min or so. The breading was light and crispy. We made our own pizza and I will say they need to work on the way they choose which slices to give the person who orders it. Our server gave me the slices that only had a few toppings and mainly crust (basically the bad slices) but still was tasty. Plus if I really wanted another slice i could go to the buffet and grab more cause that is where the put the build your own pizzas. Cactus bread is a must! So disappointed in the Stewartsville location especially. If dine in their pizza is okay but not worth the high cost. The employees are also frequently messy and the girls when serving should put up long hair because it is often falling into the buffet food or when they bring food or drinks to table. The worst experience happened when ordered delivery. Had an order over $105 and we are less than 1/2 mile away. After an hour and a half called the store they said the driver had delivered it. They had not. Asked to speak to a manager and they said there was none. 45 minutes later got a knock on the door and a girl had a couple pizzas and said that the staff played a trick on her and sent her with our order to the address that ended up being at the airport. They said they didn't order anything. She went back and they told her what they did and gave her two pizzas to bring to us. They were not ones we ordered and in fact they were full of mushrooms They were told every time and had noted that there was severe mushroom allergies. We sent them back with her and called again. The kid that answered said there was no refunds even if wrong order but he would have the manager call us in the morning. No call. Called everyday for 3 weeks and just was told somebody would call. Finally looked up an email for main pizza ranch. No reply. Called main number was told sorry and they would have district or region manager call. Spent 4 months trying to contact a store manager and the main office because it was no small amount. Have never had such an experience read more

Okay, earlier this year i officially wrote this place off. I ordered pizza at 5pm to be delivered at 7:30pm. It got here at the right time. The delivery guy stood on the deck and didn't knock or ring the bell. My roommate and i waited for a few minutes while he just stood outside my door. Finally i just answered it and said hello, he looked shocked but didnt say anything to me. He hands me the pizza then the paper to sign with a pen. I sign it and hand it back with the 10$ tip. He takes the paper and tip, still hasnt said a single word to me. Im kinda taken back by this weird interaction so i slowly start to close the door and say "thank you, have a good night..." and thats when he finally says something... "my pen." Silly me, i forgot to hand his pen back. Thats it though. Not a single thank you or anything. Next, i open the pizzas just to make sure its what i ordered as they have been known to not give us what we ordered. The pizzas were right BUT it was one pizza that looked like it was ripped in half. Half the pizza was missing! it wasn't like it was ripped apart and tossed into the box. No, it was like it was ripped apart and gone. My roommate joked that the delivery guy must of ate it and that's why he didn't wanna say anything or ring the bell. All jokes aside i was angry. I called to let them know i was bringing the pizza back so they can see what we saw. I get a ride in (i don't drive which is why we got delivery) I open the box and set it down on the front desk and the manager lady looks at it and has the damn nerve to say "is it cuz there is no cheese right here?" and points to the side of the pizza that is fine. COMPLETELY ignoring the side that is a mess and missing large amounts of pizza. At this point im super mad, how can someone stand there and see what im seeing and ignore it? I pick up a "slice" from the messed up side which is 1inch by 1inch with no crust cuz its missing and ask "so this is a slice to you?" That's when she takes my pizza into the back and doesn't say anything. Comes back out and gives me my money back. Well, i don't know what money she gave me back because it was less then what i paid for that pizza but at this point i wanna leave this place. Between the guy who delivered my pizza and this "manager" lady i got few words and in the end i was out money. My night was ruined. As i turned to leave so frustrated with everything she then says "have a good night!" She comes into where i work a lot and i refuse to help her. Having been in many locations to sample their finest (including Italy), I've had some great pizza. While I wouldn't say it's the best anywhere, I can say this: Could they change their name, so someone might actually believe me when I say their pizza is really, really good. My Italian friends north of Pittsburgh, PA. NEVER believe me. Call it Guido's or something. And now to my point. I relish a decent breakfast pizza. Moreso than most. It's decadent way to start your day, under the guise of breakfast. Their chicken is juicy and tender, but in my opinion, needs some signature seasoning. I tried the sausage, pepper and onion first, and I must say, it is one of the best breakfast pizzas I ever tasted. i would usually give pizza ranch 5tars, but the past 2 months i've been very disappointed with the quality of their pizza. i usually get their delivery service. who ever makes the pizza from 5pm and later does a poor job. the sauce is almost nonexistent. its only in the center if there is any. The number of sausage pieces i counted last time was 6. all in the center. This was for a large one. The extra toppings are poor in quantity as well. when i called, they said, we have a certain amount of toppings thats allowed. We don't make money if we put on too much on. But my kids and I LOVE the buffet. Pizza toppings are good quality and lots of it; huge variety of combinations on the buffet (and they'll make just about anything as a special order). I went here on a weeknight with some relatives. We immediately noticed the full parking lot. We stood in line and were promptly seated in a side room with some other larger party groups. Still amazed at the amount of people, the place still doled out the pizza right and left. I counted no less than three pregnant ladies here. We finally discovered that this was kid's night and they ate for free! The salad bar had lots of variety. The soup is always good. I really enjoy the mashed potatoes and gravy (doesn't taste like the typical fast food taters). I hear the chicken is to DIE for. The only thing the store had keeping up with was the dessert pizzas. Since I would rather binge on mashed potatoes than dessert pizza it didn't matter much to me. This place will also make special pizzas upon request. This is probably the first buffet i've been to that didn't make me feel like a glutton or a pig slopping angrily at a trough. The waitstaff that night were volunteers that got to keep tips and shared a profit for their club. How sweet! We order pizza from here as it's the only place that delivers to our house. We've always had excellent service, the pizza is good and we like the option of buying a chicken dinner and having it delivered on a summer evening while camping out in the yard. I ordered a pizza there once, they forgot the take the plastic off the crust before they put on the toppings and baked it, when it was delivered, the first bite, the hot topping slid right off the slice and on to my lap. Ouch! I couldn't figure out what the heck was going on until I realized I had a slice of plastic hanging out of my mouth... It actually was pretty funny and they did take care of everything for us when I took it back over to them. Well lets start off with saying that on a Sunday afternoon this place packed. I have eaten here several times over the past year. On this particular visit they were not up to par. They had many problems keeping the buffet full. At times they ran out of chicken, pizza, potatoes, rolls and the list could go on.
