Food is VERY bland. All four of us ate half of one plate. Wasted $50 then played games and the machine pictured is purposely meant to take your credits and not give anything back. Tried three times (6 credits each) then called for the manager. He tried and exact thing happened and he looks at me and states it's because the toys are too heavy. I asked for a refund because even if you tried going for the balls underneath, because they're light, it's impossible because the stuffed ones are packed together on top. They then told me I can't get a refund because that's just how the game is with the toys. My wife and I went there for lunch and we were very disappointed in this place. First off trying to find a place to sit was impossible to find, if the half the tables were taken the others were reserved (it should be first come first served). Second the choices were very small I was lucky if I walked away from the buffet with only 2 or 3 slices and several pieces of garlic bread. Third the pizza was terribly bland where was the taste, I've been there before and the pizza use to be fairly good, what these people do to it did they give up fairly good tasting pizza for their new game room The really sad part is they want a tip before you even eat any of their food. This restaurant has the worst customer service I was there with. My family ordered a large pizza and a variety of chicken pieces. Our pizza was so spicy. Nobody in our family could eat it. I brought us to the attention of the manager and they apologized and refused to do anything about it. So I guess I just threw a $17 because no one ate the pizza which we left at the restaurant. My wife and I have made it a habit of eating here every Sunday. The salad bar is quite good, and in addition to pizza you can find fried chicken, gravy, vegetables, and other sorts of traditional "comfort food". If you want dessert, there's dessert pizzas and soft serve ice cream. The prices here are very reasonable, even on the weekends. The establishment is always clean and the food is always good. My only complaint is that they tend to overcook the fried chicken just a bit, but it sure isn't going to stop my wife and I from coming here. This is not a fine dining establishment and I adjust my expectations accordingly when I visit. But I do like the food. However there are a few things that I find unpleasant about this restaurant. Number one is the non-stop Jesus rock piped throughout the entire building. It makes the dining atmosphere feel like a trendy church youth group that just discovered electric amplification, uses the word awesome far too often and has at least one sketchy youth pastor that tries way too hard to be hip. I feel like there is a strong possibility that the ownership are regular church goers of the evangelical persuasion, just a hunch. If you can deal with the subtle and persistent musical proselytization, then the main thing to keep an eye out for is the older gentleman with a beard who stocks the fried chicken. Do not be fooled. He uses words like "sir" and "please", but really he is communicating his hatred for all of mankind and in particular those who watch him work within a thirty foot perimeter. The Department of Homeland Security may or may not be tracking this individual who demonstrates anti-social behavior in the workplace and exhibits possible signs of arms stockpiling, DIY explosives manufacture and the vociferous denunciation of young children playing near his lawn during his free time. The buffet is a good deal. The staff at the register will usually ask if you would like to request a special pizza, but usually I find something I like already out on the table. The chicken is very good and very different from other chicken such as Popeye's or KFC. I have found the service to be acceptable, albeit not outstanding. Normally the only time I have a problem with the service is when they are slammed and even then they manage to keep the empty plates from piling up which is all I really expect from a place like this. In summary, the food is good, the price is a bargain and the atmosphere may just lead you to treasures in heaven where moth and rust doth not corrupt. Not bad for $10.19 plus tax. read more

We stopped into Pizza Ranch this summer while on a family trip. This location was extremely clean. Their prices, especially for the buffet, are rather high for a large family. We ordered a couple of pizzas and a dessert (Cactus Bread) pizza. We had an unusually long wait, so much so that I had to go up to the counter again to inquire what was taking so long. The pizza, when it finally arrived, was hot and fresh and delicious. It took no time for our family to devour the pizzas, which were great. Our favorite is the dessert Cactus Bread. It has a salty sweetness that we all love. We left full and happy. The buffet, while expensive, is good. Seemed butterier and flakier biscuit style dough, but it wasn't any larger than regular dough. Makes me wonder what the regular dough is like... tortilla thin?... I want to wedge this in, the only shining star in this place was Amy. Bright, happy, cheerful, over the top customer service. She checked on us a few times, and I have to say, best thing about Pizza Ranch. We ate our very plain, regular pizza, and I just had to know what made this place special. So I got up to check out the buffet. The pizza buffet is small. The chicken "bin" looked like some dry, very old, all day chicken. My wife and I tried it out as it's close to where we live. Even with its proximity, we probably won't be back. The buffet is a little steep at $12 or so, and she didn't want that much, so she ordered off the menu. It took nearly 30 minutes for her to get her ordered meal of chicken and mashed potato's. I had the buffet and completely finished with my meal even after making a second trip to sample the bland pizza. They claim they made her meal to order and so it takes longer. Always told to pull over and wait 10 minutes. Today we waited 15 minutes, still no food. Pulled through the drive thru again, still not ready. Another 10 minute wait. It wouldn't be so bad, except for the fact that the staff at the drive thru window are extremely rude. And not just once, but every visit. When the food was finally done, the drive thru worker slammed it into the container and handed it to us and rudely says, "there!!!" No, sorry for the wait, thank you, or anything but "there!!!" very rudely. It seems like when you spend $35 for take out, you could at least get a friendly thank you. How hard is it to be decent to a customer? After all, I'm paying for their product and service. I went to lunch to the only Pizza Ranch in Lincoln yesterday with a friend. I was disappointed. I like salad bars and this salad bar left a lot to be desired. Both of us thought the pizza was not very good. The fried chicken and potato wedges looked good. The chicken was cold. The wedges were slightly warm. The restaurant was not packed, but had a decent amount of patrons. After throwing out the first piece of chicken, I though I would try another piece to see if perhaps I could get a hot one. The second piece was definitely warmer and worth eating. A manager was walking around but never stopped at our table to ask about our lunch. Perhaps someone should be checking the temp of the meat on the bar to make sure its not going to make someone sick. One big plus for me at this Pizza Ranch is that Gold Peak Tea is available. GPT is my fave. Bottom line is I would not recommend it and at $10 for a lunch buffet, I would gladly go down the road to the Hyvee kitchen for pizza/salad bar or to Valentinos for sure. read more

I love pizza and couldn't even eat more then a bite of any of the pizza's they had to offer which was only about 4 or 5.
