Wow! What a fun place to check out! Pizza Ranch not only had a salad bar, pizza bar, side dish / fried chicken bar, and dessert bar... but also, what looks to also be a brand new arcade located on the side of the dining room! I felt very pleasantly surprised at all of the games they featured and can't wait to come back to play. My favorite part about the entire dining experience was the salad bar (lots of topping options), the stuffed crust pepperoni pizza, creamy soft serve, and the fried chicken! Truly, the fried chicken was piping hot and delicious. I would definitely come back to Pizza Ranch. Great variety for an affordable price. Great spot for families or parties! We came away very disappointed here for PR's we've been to over the years. We're much more used to Bettendorf PR but we have been to many over the years. No mention of "Buffet your way" but I did. You can get a pizza of your choice with a few slices brought to your table. They did do that. No broasted potatoes, I thought all PR's served them, not here. Slow to clear used plates. One empty booth sat with dirty plates almost the entire time we were there. Ours were only cleared when they brought a few slices of pizza to our table. Other than that we never saw anyone. We came in just a few minutes after they first opened, no chicken breasts in the pan. I thought that's sort of strange. We were there long enough that they brought out a refill of the chicken pan and we made a bee line for the pan.....still no chicken breasts. Something's doesn't seem right with that. Never expected to find awesome fried chicken at a pizza place. Puts all the local chicken places to shame.

This used to be a nice Pizza Ranch. But since they added on the play area for kids. The quality of the food has become very poor quality. The chicken is greasy. The pizza tastes like cardboard. The salad bar is poorly stocked. I talked to a couple members of the busing staff. They told me that that the Pizza Ranch was under new ownership and management. They put all their emphasis on the wrong areas. They built a video gaming area. But the bathrooms look like something that you would see at a junkyard. They didn't update any of that area. They took away dining area space. And they didn't upgrade any of it. It used to be a nice family oriented atmosphere. Now they act like they couldn't care less if you ever come back. I won't. Eh. Pizza Ranch pizza looks plastic scary fake. Definitely not the highlight, but it's edible enough. Use it to sate indiscriminate kids, use it to shut up your feelings for a bit. It's bland, the dough is soggy, it's barely seasoned. Maybe a little better in quality to store brand freezer pizza, but worse than. Pizza Hut or something like a Red Baron? They do have some weird, nifty options like the blueberry strudel crumble our. Tastes like a Toaster Strudel left to cool, underwhelming really. Regular fried chicken is pretty good. I'd get that instead. Nice crunch, chicken is moist and has good flavor. Sweet, asian-esque fried chicken is not though. Mac and cheese looked like TV dinner glop, green beans are canned. Salad bar was good, had a spinach salad option with walnuts and cranberries. Tons and tons of soft drink options, coffee and various hot and cold teas too. Waiters were really on it. Food kept coming out, plates kept getting whisked away, nobody looked miserably stressed. Everything out looked fresh too, like it was getting restocked and not sitting long enough to look or taste old. Place probably deserves another star, but I can't. If you're feeding kids give it another star, ditto if you like Denny's, IHOP, or big buffets like Bonanza/Ponderosa. read more

The kids like to go here when we visit grandma and grandpa. It's nice that they get to pick and choose what they want to eat. Plus they take requests on what pizza you would like at the buffet. Then they come by your table when that pizza is done and give you whatever amount of slices you want before putting the rest on the buffet table. Pizza is okay. All you can eat buffet. More than pizza. Make a speciality order for pizza and they bring it to your table. We ordered a half blueberry and half cherry dessert pizza. Fried chicken, mashed potatoes, green beans and corn. Salad bar with your standard things except there was a spinach salad with feta and cranberry salad. A great place to eat. Can' beat the buffet. The chicken is always a go to several times item. Good potatoes and gravy. Pizza's are good. What I like is if they don't have out what you want they will make it and bring it to your table. The salad bar is very decent.everything has been fresh. Went here this past weekend. The food is generally good as well as the service. When we arrived, we were asked if we were all together... which we said, "Yes.' Specifically said the 6 of us were together. Get to the table and no one has a number (you get a number to set at your table when you order pizzas). So, we go back up and ask what our number is. They say 12. We say OK, we need the number. They say it's at the table... I was just at the table, no number. They finally figure out that for whatever reason, we were included with a group that wasn't even standing there when we ordered... They apologize and say they will change the number with the pizza and give us #6. Keep in mind, they bring the pizzas you order out to you, you take as much as you want, and then what's left goes on the buffet. When "our" pizzas come out, THEY'RE NOT EVEN WHOLE PIZZAS. We got our pizzas, some only have four or five pieces. SO, what probably happened is this.... I was told the pizza number was switched from #12 (a totally different group) to #6 (our group) Who wants to bet that our pizzas went to that table first and we got the leftovers of our own damn order? Needless to say, we were disappointed with our experience on this one. Staff should really be able to handle issues as they arise; it's not that difficult. read more

Our family goes to this pizza ranch about once a month. Tuesday night kids eat free so we usually go on Tuesdays. Very family friendly restaurant and the staff is always very nice. My kids love the pizza, but i go for the salad bar and the fried chicken. I think its the best chicken around. If you pay for buffet you can request any kind of pizza and they will bring it to your table. They even brought us chicken fingures that werent being offered at the buffet that night. This pizza ranch is great, the food is good, the pizza is pretty average but the chicken and salad bar are the reason I go. The dining area is well lit and clean. It is usually pretty busy but they get you seated quickly. The employees are very nice and are always ready to help. One of the things I love is that they give back to the community and host fundraisers for schools, churches and any thing else you can think of. Definitely a good restaurant read more

DO NOT APPLY TO WORK AT THIS ESTABLISHMENT, I was interviewed twice and the owner Mike told me that he would have his GM get ahold of me to finish the hiring process, Adam, his GM did not get back with me at all, only kept putting me off saying he was going to get ahold of me in a couple days. I tried calling his cell and work phone, then he just started ignoring my calls and telling the employees that he was not there, very unprofessional behavior if you ask me. Every time I go there it gets worse. This time I ordered delivery for a hamburger pizza with fries to try and it came without any fries and there was pieces of onion and pickle in massive chunks, no body cared enough to cut. Awful quality, not worth it. read more

I found the hours of operation on Yelp and we drove 50 minutes to try out the Pizza Ranch because we had heard good things, but the hours of operation are not the same as the buffet hours. We went on a Friday, they are open until 10:00pm, we got there at 8:15pm and we were not able to get the buffet because it closed at 8:00pm. I wish we would have known that. It is posted on their website, but like I said I just checked the hours on Yelp, but when they are known for their buffet, who would have thought that the hours would be different. The food was good, but for the price we paid the buffet would have been the better deal. read more
