It does not "taste" chain to me, and I can indulge and not feel like complete trash after eating it. Little Caesars, Pizza Hut, and Dominoes are all within a couple of miles of Godfather's and having had all of them several times----Godfather's is the clear winner for me. There are a multitude of specialty pizzas in a generous number of sizes including mini which you don't find very often. Even the mini pizza had generous toppings, was made with care, and it was less than 10 dollars. The several times we have ordered, the cheese is plentiful, the toppings are evenly distributed, and our order has been 100% correct each time. Also, they actually cut CLEANLY through their pizzas! I don't know why but for whatever reason all the other chains in this area really struggle to cut their pizzas cleanly, so I am always having to run a knife through them anyway or the slices are tearing weird. I won't lie, looking at pictures of the pizza, they don't really look all that visually appealing but the taste is very solid. I also could wager that they don't travel all that well. Being heavy on the toppings and thicker slices I can imagine any travel time beyond like 10-15 minutes the pizzas probably become soggy pretty quickly. But overall, have I had better? Yes. Have I had worse? By far. But when you're looking for quick, convenient and most importantly tasty pizza---really I don't have any major criticisms and will continue to give them my business.
