TLDR/ Not a place I would go again. If someone wanted to go there, I would probably question why and reevaluate my friendship with them. Food: 2/5 Pizza and spaghetti were both meh. The pizza was "warm" not hot and if we are judging overall quality was sub-par. The crust was too thin and crispy while the sauce to cheese to meat ratio was way off. The sauce also was not flavorful and all the ingredients felt low quality. It was like eating lightly sauced cardboard masquerading as pizza. The spaghetti was also "warm" not hot and it is clear they use the same sauce for the spaghetti as for the pizza, not good. Sad because if it had salt and a few spices it might have been good as the spaghetti wasn't over cooked as I have found at many places. Service: 3/5 The entire staff could not have had anyone over 20 and though they had pep, they also gave sus vibes when we came to dine in an hour out from closing. Not giving demure or casual hospitality at all. After trying my best to goad them into a more generous ambiance they warmed up a bit but still, a very mid experience overall. Ambiance: 2.5/5 What you would expect from a local pizza parlor. Not great but the employees seemed to be having a good time and that made the atmosphere better in my opinion, than the lackluster dated 80's decor and shabby vibes would normally have given.

    Kid loved it.

Taste like cardboard, but the service was excellent. Second best in town behind Casey's.

Best Pizza in Derby. A little old school on the decor, but the quality of the pizza makes up for it.

Best pizza in town and is locally own. I just wish they would deliver during the day. But you can always order on line and pick up.

I ordered a pizza and sandwich. Both were terrible. Way too expensive for the quality. You'd be better off getting a frozen tombstone pizza.

Very disappointed as of 1-20-2026. The pizza ingredients are not equal to several months ago, and…read morealso the flavor is not good. I think they are freezing the ingredients, which decreases the flavor. They obviously are not fresh as they were in the past. I think the previous employees quit there positions and these new hired employees dont accept their responsibilities. There was no employee at the counter for several minutes, and she was negligible. The current employees need to be replaced by responsible employees or this place will close. I ordered from Godfathers about every 2 weeks, previously, but I will not place another order ever again. It's a long drive for a pizza that is not nearly as favorable as it used to be. Soooo disappointed.

Okay soooo apparently don't order from inside is what I am gathering from the other reviews?? My…read moreonly experience is delivery through DoorDash. To be completely transparent, I've done a ton of traveling and if the food tastes good to me, I'll pay whatever price within reason so the prices don't bother me. Inflation is here to stay and if it's THAT much of an issue for you, Little Caesars is right down the street for much cheaper, but you'll sacrifice taste and quality. I am usually a coal oven or wood fire pizza only Neapolitan or NY style pizza only kind of gal. However, for being neither of those things Godfather's Pizza is quite good. It does not "taste" chain to me, and I can indulge and not feel like complete trash after eating it. Little Caesars, Pizza Hut, and Dominoes are all within a couple of miles of Godfather's and having had all of them several times----Godfather's is the clear winner for me. There are a multitude of specialty pizzas in a generous number of sizes including mini which you don't find very often. Even the mini pizza had generous toppings, was made with care, and it was less than 10 dollars. The several times we have ordered, the cheese is plentiful, the toppings are evenly distributed, and our order has been 100% correct each time. Also, they actually cut CLEANLY through their pizzas! I don't know why but for whatever reason all the other chains in this area really struggle to cut their pizzas cleanly, so I am always having to run a knife through them anyway or the slices are tearing weird. I won't lie, looking at pictures of the pizza, they don't really look all that visually appealing but the taste is very solid. I also could wager that they don't travel all that well. Being heavy on the toppings and thicker slices I can imagine any travel time beyond like 10-15 minutes the pizzas probably become soggy pretty quickly. But overall, have I had better? Yes. Have I had worse? By far. But when you're looking for quick, convenient and most importantly tasty pizza---really I don't have any major criticisms and will continue to give them my business.
