But they certainly rallied, and we had a lovely meal with friendly and efficient service. The fried ravioli was excellent, and we loved the unique bread that was almost like a pizza, sauce and all. We all enjoyed our entrees, including the very eggy carbonara (a plus for me, but YMMV), the cod francaise, and the penne primavera. The building is very unique, and some googling revealed that it began its life as a short lived Native American themed roast beef sandwich chain. The current use is certainly better, and they've made great use of the unusual layout of the space so you feel like your table is private but still central. We will be back!

I'd been here before a few years ago, and had such a great experience that I knew I would be back. Our waitress, Michelle, was so friendly and so helpful with suggesting food and wine. She took great care of us and we felt very attended to. Both the Head Chef Giuseppe and his wife Vincenza checked in on our table as well. This restaurant clearly offers a very personable dining experience. The food is wonderful, I had the caprese salad, the sausage and peppers and the meatballs for apristomaco, and then one of the specials was a Branzino over gnocchi with shrimp and spring veggies. For dessert most of the table had gelato, and I had the pistachio ricotta cake. I am so full as I type this, the portions are very generous. What stands out to me about the food is the bright assortment of flavor, every dish feels perfected- nothing feels even remotely dialed-in. I never come to Steubenville, other than for work on scant occasion, and I'd say that it would be worth it to come here even just specifically to have dinner at this restaurant. It was definitely busy when we came in- I think everyone in town knows that this is the best Italian food around. This is definitely one of my favorite restaurants and I can say with certainty that I'll be back again.
