We do not live in Pittsburg but every time we come up from Florida we make it a point to visit here. The food is amazing. Pizzas are cooked to perfection and there are some items on the menu not found anywhere else. You must must try the Veggie Pizza. Outdoor seating only. The food is so good you will have leftovers that your father in law will steal.

Fresh hot and delicious pizza and subs reasonably priced. It's only been open a few weeks and I've been there multiple times. Love the cinnamon sticks and patio seating!

Open seating after you place your order. High chairs for little ones are available. The food - turkey is a must. Tender and Smokey. Pulled chicken- so juicy and flavorful. Same with pulled pork. Mac and cheese is phenomenal. Truly a creamy mac that isn't mush! Baked beans had a nice, gentle heat. Hearty and good! Cheese potatoes were scrumptious. This was a seasonal special. There are six sauces to try, and I liked the Tupelo honey the best! I can't wait to come back for more!

Plus I added on a piece of cornbread for .99 cents. Sandwich was solid, nice soft bun. Pork was tender and juicy. I had ordered 1 of each bbq sauce, but after trying them all, I think the "smokey mountain" one might have been my favorite. Would definitely recommend this sandwich. Blueberry cobbler was delish. Couldn't tell ya how happy I was when I saw this listed as a side dish option. Sweet, buttery, warm. 10/10. Lemonade was so dang good as well. Probably some of the best I've had at a restaurant. Cornbread ok good, not the best I've had, but worth the .99 cents if you're hungry. Overall, this is a great spot. I ordered online, which allows you to skip the line. Food wasn't a bad price, I think my combo meal was about $15 or so. I know there's a lot of negative reviews about this being a "chain bbq spot", but I don't think the quality of their food lacked just because there are several locations. Would order from here again in a heartbeat.

I usually get the shoyu tonkatsu with white garlic, but this trip I decided to try the seafood ramen. I'm a bit of a wimp when it comes to spice so I wouldn't order it again over the tonkatsu, but it was definitely tasty. Everything here is delicious without fail. I've tried the omurice in a previous trip, and even that was amazing. Their desert options are also great. The matcha pudding with red bean has good flavor without being overly sweet, and the Japanese cherry blossom jelly is the same way. I also love to get their purple sweet potato fried every now and then (although, the garlic chili edamame will always be the top choice). The takoyaki is delicious coming from someone who loves octopus, and so is any of their yakitori. If you look at the pictures they have on their website of the food, it's almost always a 1 to 1. You'll know exactly what you're ordering. Service is always thoughtful and quick. Even when the place is really busy there's usually not a crazy wait. There are also buttons at the table that let you call the servers over when you're ready to order and pay. Overall, it's really well done. The inside of the place is adorable. Any seat you're given feels special, and the interior makes the whole place feel comfortable. I have no problem giving this place 5 stars. I genuinely have no complaints here.

Because we made a reservation, I felt comfortable to ask if we could be sat at a warmer table and the girl at the door said that there were no other tables available. She added that they usually don't seat people at the table we were being seated at and walked away. Minutes later, there was an empty table in a warmer area of the restaurant and I asked if we could move there and she would not move us. The empty table sat without anyone for 20 minutes. Ridiculous. I have never been spoken to the way the girl at the door responded to us and we will never return. How can you have someone like that be at the front of the house? Timing is off. Meals do not come out all at once here so some of your guests will be eating before you get your meal. Our server put down drinks in front of my daughter to pass out to the table. They did not know who ordered what at the table so would just place things down for us to figure out. There are too many other restaurants out there that offer better service. I don't find it worth coming back to this one.

Examples of menu items are appetizers (e.g., shrimp cocktail and nachos), soups, salads, wings, burgers, flatbreads, entrees (e.g., pasta primavera, chicken, duck, pork chop, swordfish, and A-5 wagyu), desserts (e.g., limoncello and cheesecake), and drinks (e.g., mocktails, cocktails, wines, whiskeys, and beers). My husband and I have eaten here twice--once for lunch last year and once for dinner this year. Both times, we enjoyed the employees' service and the foods. Here are my ratings for what we ate: Passionfruit-Paloma Mocktail - 4 stars - sour. Spring Sangria - 4.5 stars - slightly fruity. Jumbo Pretzel - 5 stars - huge size with beer cheese and mustard sauce. French Onion Soup - 5 stars - This soup had a rich broth, onions, and cheese. Ybor Cuban sandwich - 4.5 stars - nicely crunchy toast with tasty pork, ham, and Swiss cheese and a side of crispy onion rings. Salmon - 5 stars - I ordered this entree both times. The salmon was perfectly cooked and came with flavorful farro grains, cherry tomatoes, and asparagus. Filet Mignon - 5 stars - This 8-ounce steak was cooked mid-rare as my husband prefers. It came with whipped potatoes and his choice of au poivre style (black pepper crusted with bourbon cream).

Owned by longtime locals John and Melanie Dober, it positions itself as a warm, community-focused spot blending upscale comfort food with a welcoming vibe--think handcrafted sandwiches, premium Black Angus steaks, fresh seafood, flatbreads, and daily specials, all with thoughtful wine and bourbon selections. We were excited for what promised to be a polished neighborhood gem, and in many ways, it delivered. The food was genuinely great and the clear highlight. Our dishes were flavorful, well-executed, and creative without being fussy--fresh ingredients shone through, portions were generous, and everything arrived hot and beautifully plated. It's easy to see why so many reviewers rave about the crab cakes, steaks, and chef specials; the kitchen clearly knows what it's doing. This is elevated American fare that feels special yet approachable, and we'd happily return just for the meals. That said, a few aspects fell short and left us feeling the overall experience wasn't quite as seamless as the food deserved. First and foremost, the billing transparency issue was disappointing. They add a 3% bank/credit card processing fee to the check (which adds up quickly on a family dinner), but this isn't disclosed on the menu, at the table, or in any obvious way during the ordering process. There's only a small sign posted outside the restaurant. We only noticed it when the bill arrived, and it felt like an afterthought rather than a clear policy. In an era where many restaurants are upfront about surcharges (or absorb them), this lack of disclosure came across as sneaky and detracted from the otherwise positive value perception. The atmosphere was another mixed bag. The space itself is attractive--soft lighting, comfortable seating, and that friendly "upscale brew pub" energy the owners aim for. However, it was noticeably noisy during our evening visit. Conversations required raised voices, especially as the dining room filled up, which made it hard to relax and enjoy the meal fully. OpenTable rates the noise as "moderate," but on our night it tipped louder than that, possibly due to the layout or lack of sufficient sound absorption. A bit more attention to acoustics could make a big difference. Service was mostly attentive and efficient, but the management interaction stood out in a negative way. When we politely mentioned the surprise fee at the end of the meal, the response was an apology that felt scripted and insincere--like it had been delivered many times before without real follow-through or ownership. It didn't leave us feeling heard or valued as guests. On a brighter note, the owners John and Melanie genuinely come across as lovely people. The restaurant has that personal, homegrown touch you can sense even when they're not physically present, and locals speak highly of them. They were absent during our nighttime visit, though, which is understandable for owners juggling a busy operation--but their warmth is missed when the front-of-house team is handling everything solo. In summary, Wexford Public excels where it matters most: the food is consistently excellent and worth the trip on its own. The family-owned charm and diverse menu make it a strong neighborhood choice for special occasions, casual dinners, or even happy hour in the cocktail bar. However, clearer communication about the credit card fee (ideally on the menu or bill upfront), better noise management, and more authentic handling of guest concerns would elevate it from very good to outstanding. We'll likely go back for the cuisine, but with tempered expectations on the finer details. If you're in the Wexford area and prioritize great American plates, it's still a solid recommendation--just check the small print before you pay.

We go to Recon which is located in the Meeder community. Free parking. Big field outside for kids to run. Phones got charged and I got a green beer. Four of us adults went and there were enough varietals that we each got something different. TVs had sports on and a good mix of indoor and outdoor seating. Outdoor seating was fully open and though my photos don't show it, people were there throughout the afternoon. I enjoyed it and would return. We've been up to the Butler location, but it's been a while and are glad to have one a bit closer.

On a Wednesday evening in July, my fiance and I found ourselves in the Cranberry area. We found…read morethis place and decided to give it a try, as we had never been before. It is also a non-chain establishment, which is a plus in this area. Recon Brewing is located within the Meeder neighborhood of Cranberry. It almost feels like you are in the wrong spot when initially entering, but eventually you stumble upon the "town square" area with a big lawn, several storefronts, and lots of sidewalks, which make it very easy to walk to. Since this is quite literally in the middle of a neighborhood, there is not a dedicated parking lot. However, there are spaces on the street around the entire area where all of the storefronts are. We had no issue finding a spot on this particular night, but I could see it being slightly more challenging if there is a big crowd eating here. We arrived here a little after 7:30, and it was not busy. Our dog was with us, so we opted for seats on the patio. The wait staff came to greet us right away, and were attentive to us throughout the entire evening. Since this is a brewery, we started off with a few beers. I had To Live & Rye, which is a red/amber rye. I appreciated this as an option, as a lot of places do not carry reds or red-adjacents, especially on tap. I enjoyed it, and it was a great sipper throughout the evening. My fiance ordered the Sour Series - Plum. He thought it was okay, but could have been more sour. Since they brew a lot of their own selections, these seem to rotate and switch out pretty frequently, which is a good way to be able to try lots of different brews. For an appetizer, we split the Cheese Curds. The portion, for the price, is okay. They were tasty, and I liked how you could choose whatever dipping sauce you wanted. We chose ranch, and thought it paired well with the curds. We both ordered 10" Personal Size Pizzas for our entrees, which are cut into 6 pieces. I opted for the Hot Honey, which was more of a white-style pizza with chicken on top and drizzled generously with hot honey. My fiance ordered the Peppers & Sausage, which had red pepper, banana pepper, and chunky pieces of sausage. Both had nice flavors, but we were not particularly wow-ed by either pie. The portion was solid for a personal serving, but if there are multiple people in your party, I would order multiple pizzas. Our total bill came out to be just under $50. I do not think this is unreasonable given that we got 2 beers, an appetizer, and two entrees. I think that in terms of overall value, this is very standard compared to similar restaurants and breweries. I loved the ambiance of Recon! If we lived closer to Cranberry, I could see myself coming here weekly, especially when the weather is warm. The patio lights make it such a cozy and warm atmosphere at night. It was not operating during our visit, but there was also a fire pit. There was a ton of seating here overall - both indoors and out. This would be a great spot to meet a large group of people, or just for a night out for two. There is even bar seating on the interior. I can see this being a great spot for the neighborhood to walk to and enjoy often. In terms of activity, there seems to be a lot going on at Recon. Though not anything specifically during our visit, there was a chalkboard advertising their regular events - DJ Trivia every Tuesday, Karaoke every other Thursday, as well as special events - a Comedy Show, Patio Party with music and vendors, and DJ Bingo. I would love to return for an event in the future! Lastly, I love how nice they were to our dog. He got a giant bowl of water with ice in it! The staff and patrons were friendly and welcoming to both us and him, which is a big plus when we bring him along on outings. There was even a donation box inside benefiting the Butler County Humane Society, so I know the treatment of my dog was not an off-chance occurrence. Overall, I enjoyed my first visit to Recon Brewing at Meeder! This truly is the perfect spot to be able to walk to and socialize with neighbors, grab dinner or a drink, and enjoy the atmosphere and ambiance that they provide. Plus, there are plenty of events and fun activities that seem to be happening regularly to keep patrons coming back. The staff were all kind, and we enjoyed our food and drinks. I look forward to another chance to be able to enjoy Recon, hopefully partaking in one of their many events.
