Tried to leave out the back exit but there were 2 delivery cars too close together for me to squeeze thru. So I started backing up and I called the store to suggest that the delivery cars give room for others to get by them. The guy got a little agitated and told me that is not an exit, it is their loading area and it is private property and I had to back up to get out of the parking lot. I said I thought it was an alley and he raised his voice and told me to look up the lot lines with the city website, said thank you for calling and hung up on me. Got home and my sandwich was burnt. The next day I received an email from a Papa John's regional manager who was very apologetic and offered a free replacement pie. I picked that replacement pie up this evening and it was excellent! Our boys' ice cream was accidentally made without the Oreos, and while mistakes happen, what impressed us most was how Tiffany handled it. She was walking around checking on guests, asked how everything was, and immediately made it right with a smile and a genuinely positive attitude. She also mentioned how hard the team works to keep the restaurant clean, especially the restrooms, and I have to agree the bathrooms were spotless and very well maintained. Tiffany was incredibly kind, friendly, and professional. It's employees like her who make people want to come back. Great food, excellent service, and a clean restaurant. Tonight, as is often the case, the side salad was in the bag on top of the hot food. If it had stayed there for the twenty minute ride home, it would have been well and truly wilted. I removed it but it was late, and dark, and I didn't see that the salad was also not fresh: some of the lettuce had black slimy bits. The raspberry topping was missing from the order. When I went inside the store to get the raspberry topping, the kid who was helping me tried to give me a packet of raspberry salad dressing. At least when I did get the actual topping there was a solid lid on the container rather than the dome lid with the large hole on top that seems to be Culver's default when it is ordered to-go (this makes NO sense to me when you're filling to-go orders: people need to get their food home without spilling it. Those dome lids are the next best thing to handing customers cups of topping without any lid at all). Just a little common sense and attention to detail would make me a happy customer. Sad to say, at the Troy Culver's I can't remember the last time all the items ordered were in the bag, or that there wasn't something wrong with the food itself. This all really makes me think I'd rather skip Culver's and just go somewhere else.
