The place is a mixture of modern restaurants with a lot of Mexican decorations. I would say it's something like fast Mexican food which is great if your trying to get your tacos quick! Service: you don't get a waiter since you simply order at the counter then they take the food to your table. The lady would check on us every time she had a chance which I appreciated her effort. I would still rate the service as a good quality. Food: I was surprised that the food had a very traditional taste to it. I was expecting much less since it has a fast food kind of feel to it but I was totally mistaken. I had the enchiladas verdes and they were delicious! I recommend this place to anyone looking for some delicious Mexican food options!

Okay so I've always been a huge fan of Golden Chick. I love their menu items and so does my family…read morebut the one time we actually decided to get off and Dine-In instead of going through the Drive -Thru, we're straight out appalled...where do I start. To start off the employees were highly unprofessional and I mean HIGHLY. They were eating behind the counter, licking their fingers afterwards and continued to prepare orders without washing their hands. They were constantly on their phones which had my family and I as well as another gentleman who was in line before us wait to get our order taken. All the tables were dirty I had to clean up one table so we can sit down and eat. During the whole 7-10 minutes that we stayed to actually eat, they were just hysterically laughing and using curse words...we just needed to leave asap. But before leaving my mom wanted to take 4 Buns to go (since we were huge fans of Golden Chick, key word "were") on our way home, since we live about 20 minutes from the nearest store, my mom decides to take a bite out of one and we were so disgusted as to what we saw on the bun... there was 2 lashes with mascara smeared on the bun.. safe to say we are never going back, at least to that location.

There hadn't been a Raising Canes Chicken Strips restaurant in the Rio Grande Valley area, at least…read morenot that I knew of. Suddenly, a couple of them popped up. One of them is in Weslaco Tx, and this one is is Pharr Tx. I dined in the restaurant once, and the dinning experience was ok. I find the chairs uncomfortable and light, but you can eat fast. The restaurant is a fast food joint with a very focused menu. All they serve is chicken strips. Unlike most other places, the breading on these strips is light and soft, making the chicken not be crunchy, which is a good thing. You get more chicken than you do batter, and that's why we come to eat here, right? Today, I did the drive thru and it was pretty fast, considering there were 5 cars ahead of me. My problem with the drive thru is that the bag and the styrofoam plate they put your food in gets moist with condensation from the hot food. This causes a soggy bread and fries when you get the items to go. I would recommend that the food is wrapped in some sort of paper to protect is from the humidity it forms inside. The food, though, is worth driving to.

They look meaty...they look delish...but the flavors were quite lacking. One...what is up with the chives and sesame seeds. They did ask me if I wanted them on there...I said sure. But I don't see how that adds anything to the flavor profile of the wing. Is it for texture? I have noticed it's more common in Mexico..so maybe they're bringing that practice over here? But offering it on every wing? Sesame seeds and chives do not go with every single wing flavor. Moving on... The wings were a good size...and well cooked. I think these are air fried...so the fry on the wing left a little more to be desired. I honestly don't remember the flavors I chose...but probably Iwiings and Buffalo... The one thing that really threw me off...and almost made me stop eating, was their ranch in the small cups. I wish I had not stirred the ranch that much to have recorded it better..so I was given 3 cups and each cup was the same. As I was dipping my wings into the small cup, I noticed the bottom of the cup was extremely watery, while the ranch at the top was very thick. It could be simply explained...dressings settle. But it made me wonder...do they water down their dressings? Or did the ranch settle? But then why did it settle toward the top...maybe they have the cups upside down, so it settled to the top because of that? But still ...it was very unsettling to see all of sudden this watery mess push up through the ranch...I tried to record it right but I had already mixed it too much. One of the few times I can say I was almost grossed out on a food item and stopped eating. Is it worth the love? Well they also sell ribs..but if your name is based on wings, I will grade you on wings. Even with their great discounts, unfortunately will not try this place again.
