Delivery driver called me from what I now have confirmed by the manager is his personal cellphone to request the passcode to enter my apartment building. I advised the driver that there are guest procedures stated at the door to gain entry so that I do not have to give out my personal entry number, he was very insistent on having this number. Once the pizza was delivered to my apartment door, I had a notification pop up on my phone from Facebook. When I looked at it, the driver who had delivered my pizza, (who now knows my address and cell phone number) had tagged himself in photos of me from my public profile photo list (both photos tagged were over a year old, meaning he had been scrolled through said photos for some time before tagging himself). How creepy!
After the delivery and this strange experience I had an email from Pizza Hut asking for a survey, so I filled it out with all the above information. I received a call about this survey from the local store I had ordered from, however I had missed the call. When I called the store back today, I spoke with the manager who advised me she was the manager on duty during this delivery. This manager seemed urgent to dismiss my issue with this driver, as well as informing me that the driver had displayed a text message to her (she stated this text had made this driver very upset and had asked her if he could block my number) apparently from me?? How I could have text messaged this driver anything if I hadn't known that he had called me from his own cell phone?... Up until this point I was under the impression that he had called me from the store. She advised me that she had spoken with him, he will not be delivering to me again, and there's "not much else to be done".
Ok- so to break down her thought process:
5 foot 2 inch, 7 month pregnant me sent a "threatening" text message to this (assuming) 6 foot 6 inch, 300 or more lbs man. This (non existent) text message was off putting to said driver. Driver looks me up on Facebook to show other drivers (??) (scrolls a year into my profile photos and tags himself in two of them). Because she has "never had an issue" with this driver previously, the discussion on this is over?
I have now been accused of something I did not do after having been verbally abused by this driver, and then stalked on social media using the name from my delivery receipt (which is a gross misuse of his employers confidential information), then tossed aside by this manager since there's "nothing left to do".
I would STRONGLY advise against ordering from this Pizza Hut. Not only is this driver (obviously) still working there and free to misuse information such as your name (lord knows what he can now do with my personal phone number and address since he has full access to this information without repercussions), the management doesn't seem to fully grasp the fact that this man has put me (a single mother of two) in a position of being afraid of opening my door when someone knocks since this man can now get into my building, knows my address, and obviously has a stalking issue. This is VERY CREEPY, VERY WRONG, and in some states misuse of this confidential customer Information is ILLEGAL.
