I understand that as a gluten free crust, it can't be cooked for too long but this tasted different. Normally the vibe is exciting, friendly, etc yesterday one would have thought there was a death in the family and the African American guy that worked there kept picking up his pants. Get a belt! I am honest I didn't expect much, and figured the 4.5 stars was because it was a local favorite in a smaller town. It was wonderful! The service was great and it was a well done restaurant, as far as a "strip mall restaurant" would go haha. But, the food was outstanding! I do t go to Belton much even with having some family there and it's never been a destination spot for dinner plans. But I will go out of my way to make it back here! We had the Alla Crema and the Rigatoni Vodka (not sure if I spelled these correctly, but they both surpassed our expectations. The Caesar salad was light and not overly dressed and the house salad with house dressing was fresh and light as well. My son had the cheese pizza and it was thin with just the right crispness and mix of sauce and cheese! We will definitely be back!

My mom appreciated the plentiful amount of sausage in her thin crust pizza. It did look really good and thought about stealing a bite. My sister opted for the Italian Sandwich and Pappo's House Italian side salad. I got the Pappo's House Italian salad and selected Shrimp as my protein. I do gravitate to salads with artichoke hearts and red pepper. It was a great lunch. It turned out that the server (I'm sorry to say I've forgotten her name) remembered the three of us as she used to serve us at Houlihans on our a "Tipsy (wine) Tuesday" lunch outings. We were good and each had one glass of wine or prosecco. Service was great - food was tasty - and .... DON'T SKIP their awesome Brown Butter Homemade Chocolate Chip Cookies! They are baked fresh as you wait. We will be back and want to try out the rest of the menu and sit outside.

The pizza (your choice of three types) is always good no matter what you choose. I like that you can mix it up and enjoy something different every time. The people taking care of you are all smiling helpful and seem to be having a good time. They are quick to come out and clean the tables so no one is ever waiting to be seated. They no longer serve beer so sometimes we grab the pizza to go and head across the street to the "Dog House" which is a blast. In my opinion this is the best pizza I have had in the KC area.

I highly recommend this place. We don't live in the area, but I think it's worth the drive anyway once in a while.
