Today, we ordered the chicken and jojos, nobody could beat Gioninos great chicken and jojos, or so I thought. When we were given a time to pick up our order, we arrived on time, our chicken had not even been dropped yet, had to wait for it. Got it home and it was all dark meat, supposed to be mixed, not one piece of white. Also, the jojos were extremely greasy, almost uneatable. We are so done with Gionino's Orrville.

The Colossal Italian had very fresh and delicious sausage on it, especially the spicy sausage! The Primo Pepperoni had old world pepperoni and lots of cheese! The sauce is incredible here because it is a nice balanced sauce that is savory but also has a hint of sweetness to it. The fresh garlic and basil really adds something amazing! The crust is not crust you will toss aside either! The staff was very helpful and courteous in explaining the toppings to me and accommodating not putting spicy sausage on the entire pizza because my wife can't eat spicy food. The restaurant had a cool ambience and feel to it. Overall, this is a must stop for any pizza lover and if you live distance away....its worth the drive! Don't miss this pizza gem in Amish country! We said water for our drink and they wanted to charge for water so we decided against that. We dined in. My wife's chicken sandwich came out pretty quickly. About 40 minutes later my pizza was delivered to our table. The noise of the place was terrible. The steel chairs on the hard floors echoed throughout the dining area. The pizza was delicious! Definitely one of the best pizza pies I've had. Little soggy in the center but overall it was great! My wife liked the chicken sandwich but the dressing was a little heavy, which made it a little too salty for her taste. We're excited to try different items next time! Pros: Food was great. Everything else was downhill. It took us over an hour and a half to get served two side salads, lasagna, spicy penne. The table we were sat at was made up but not wiped. The lasagna was mush,.. the noodles were just mushy globs. Everything was so, so terrible. The penne was actually cooked correctly but it was just one note with the sauce. I am so disappointed. The poor service made it just so much worse. It was very, very loud in the back room. The ladies bathroom needed serviced. It wasn't the worst, but for the price of the food, we deserved more than a McDonald's cleanliness and paper towels in the sink and floors.
