I ordered a medium thin crust extravaganza and a medium regular hand tossed Hawaiian. The website allowed me to receive texts on my order. I was worried I was going to be flooded with texts but thankfully this location sent me one which said "Your order is in the oven. It will be ready in 8-10 mins - see you soon!" Super easy! When I arrived, my order was ready for pick up behind the counter. The person working the counter was very friendly. Now I understand the good reviews. =) After trying the pizzas, I think the thin crust extravaganza is my favorite. I'll have to remember that for the next time I get a craving.

I was in a bit of a rush and called the store back and asked if I could please order over the phone. I was handed off to a different employee. I ordered the pizza in less than 10 seconds as I was hoping to do on the original call. When I picked up the pizza, instead of a herbivore pizza they had given me a meat pizza. I can only assume that this was done intentionally since I didn't want to order online as was requested by the worker. Boo service. Aaaaand, there was not a single customer in the restaurant when I walked in to pick it up.

Late night tastiness Good undercarriage slices…read moreEnjoyable slice Passing through Des Moines a few days ago traveling east to west, Chicago to CO, and arrived at the hotel late and hungry with limited options. The front desk lady recommended Big Tomato Pizza Company. I, being a self-proclaimed pizza connoisseur, wanted to try it out. Although we ordered it around 1am and although it was only a mile and a half away from our hotel near the Casey Center, 6 min drive, it took about 45 mins to arrive. However, I cannot blame them because they said it would be 45 mins to an hour. Maybe it's just a busy food spot past midnight even on a Monday night/Tuesday morning. The delivery driver arrived, a very friendly older gentleman, and he informed me that although we ordered a medium 14" (which was interesting to me because most pizza places classify a large as 14"), we were gifted a large 16" for the same price. Half pepperoni for me, half bacon, onion, and Roma tomato for my mom. The dough was a great mixture of crispy and chewy, the cheese was nice and stretchy, good quality cheese imo, and it was just a good slice, both halves. I would've given it a 3/5, however, there are no half stars which I dislike about Yelp, because I really want to give it a 3.5/5, but I'll round up, especially because of the good service and the size upgrade. I also don't believe in perfection so I'll never give out a true 5 star, I have on this app but they're really 4.5/5. The slice was good, not top of the line but definitely something I'd go back for. I enjoyed Big Tomato Pizza.

I was hoping they would sell single slices of pizza to curb our hunger....and thankfully they do! They sell single slices most anytime of day (and not just after 10pm like they might have done back in the day...according to my boyfriend). It's very affordable at $4 a slice and they have about 6 different single slice pizza options to choose from (i.e. pepperoni, sausage, Canadian bacon with pineapple). Service was friendly and fast. Pizza tasted great as well! We'll have to order a full size pizza with other topping ingredients next time!
