Very, very pricey, waiting time was unacceptable. 20 minutes. Not very clean inside, tables and floor. Bathrooms were very dirty. Toilet paper everywhere. read more

Showed up at drive through with one truck ahead of me, and a vehicle in the right drive through lane. Six more vehicles showed up after me before they took the order of the truck ahead of me and took two more orders before mine. I was stuck in line so I couldn't turn around. Every time I go inside I'm usually ignored at the counter, even when the counter person is in the back looking right at me. Someone was standing at a table talking to their friend and asked if I wanted to order and said I was waiting for an online order and they said okay and sat back down. Like 8 minutes later a cook asked if I needed help and I told them the same thing and he went and made sure it was made asap, the counter person didn't do anything. Another time I heard someone in the kitchen yell yo a coworker "That's why you deserve to get raped." A lady who looked like a big wig in a suit in her laptop with a McDonald's logo on it didn't do anything about it, a coworker yelled at him. Horrible place. read more

The absolutely slowest service in town. I had a pretty small order 4 nuggets a sandwich fries and drink. Took almost 20 minutes in the drive through. When I asked the manager why it always takes so long he said they're busy. But it was me and one person in line. When I said that he got pissed and told me not to come back and threatened to call the cops on me if I did. I asked why? Because I'm questioning the reasons as to why it takes so long for a simple order? This store used to be decent but that little meth head definitely seems to be their biggest issue. What a disappointment. Also the food was COLD!! Really! 20 minutes for shit food and an argument with a meth head. read more

There are a few who put forth an effort but unfortunately they must not stay too long because everything that involves the human factor at this place is terrible read more

I live in Norwalk and I always try to avoid this McDonald's. But today I was in a pinch so I went to this one and it was crap as always. Today they were quick but surprise surprise the food was cold and I didn't even get what I wanted. Thanks much appreciated! read more

Ordered the McExtreme Bacon. I told them no onions but...even if I liked onions, this looks a hot mess. Not to mention, not as flavorful as I thought it would be. Really disappointed but what should I expect from McDonald's? Customer service wise...meh. Nothing above and beyond read more

Ordered for curbside. They came out with not even half my order. And when they came back to give me all the stuff I ordered they still didn't get all of it. So I'm here waiting with half my order and they take their sweet time. Been waiting 10-15 minutes for 1 thing of fries. read more

Went here for a shamrock shake, surprise machine is down. Surprising that such an important piece of equipment goes down so frequently, more likely just lazy employees! Wish more restaurants would come to Norwalk, so this place had to step it up or just close!! read more

Took almost half an hour to get my food and of course it was cold. The store was even dead.

You had one job. Well. Let's just say that this McDonalds cannot clean up its terrible act. I live in norwalk , I don't frequent Mc Donald's , I would hope no self respecting person would. I usually get the correct order 1 out of three visits. Do yourself a favor and instead of going there, either punch yourself in the sack or punch yourself in the sack. And if you do go and get your order screwed up, don't bother complaining, it doesn't help shape up the employees - they most likely won't be working there long anyway...so to all the regulars (Mountain Dew people and other rif raff) you deserve each other. Ps zero stars isnt a option. Wow, what is this 3rd grade? You get a star for just breathing with a McDonald's shirt on? Wtf read more

Your standard McDonald's. I did find out they no longer serve tea. Was a bit of a bummer when I really needed to have some tea. read more

Congratulations on being the worst McDonalds in the entire DMS Metro area. Super slow even when you are the only car at the drive through. Order are only half right so double check your bags. read more

I'm going all in, I have been coming to this McDonald's for several years as I live in Norwalk, and have never really had that bad of service that I would write a scathing review. After reading most of the reviews you, would think this place would be condemned. I just stopped in for lunch everything was perfect. I was greeted at the door by smiling employees offering to help me order. It took me one and a half minutes to get my food it was hot and fresh, The pop was fresh. Everything was clean and someone else was cleaning in addition to that. The manager was there overseeing the place at 1 o'clock in the afternoon I don't know what else you can ask. Quick hot fresh food at a fair price. Eat it. Smile. On with life. read more

This is the worst coffee I ever tasted And 2 diet cokes were supposed to be regular coke

It is what it is, it's McDonald's. Everybody has had their food, so nothing I say in that regards is going to be new to anybody. It just seems more often than not I have issues with the service and quality here. Over the years I've had a plethora of missing items. As a veteran of fast food service for a few years in high school and college I can attest to the fact that there are a lot of orders that get processed in a given day, and once in a while things get missed. It happens. But it should never happen in the frequency that it happens here. Maybe I'm just really unlucky. Being in Norwalk, there aren't many options for food, especially later at night unless you want to drive into Des Moines or West Des Moines. My latest trip to this establishment last weekend continued to solidify my already dismal feelings toward this place. Again, another missing item (an Apple Pie), and even though it was quite busy at 10:00pm that particular evening (a drive thru line about seven cars deep) my burger was cold and the meat was nearly the consistency of beef jerky. It was cold and chewy and downright nasty. My microwave at least melted the cheese and made it slightly more edible. I just don't understand how I could get something so cold and nasty when they had a long line backed up. One would think they had to be cooking fresh food to meet the demand right? Of course, I contacted corporate, and as usual I haven't heard from them and don't expect to either. They don't care. It's McDonald's, the biggest fast food chain in the world. For every customer they drive away they have more just being born who'll be hooked on Happy Meals by the time they are two years old. Sorry for the rant, but this place is horrible and even though I am hoping and praying for more eating options in Norwalk I would not shed a single tear if this McDonald's were to just go away. read more

Slowest and most disorganized McDonalds on the planet. Another slow day.. one customer left and said good luck!

Food is typical McDonalds but the drive thru will get your order right about one in ten times be sure to double check every time you eat here it is impossible to get it right management needs serious help as they just apologize every time. I made the kid walk back and forth 3 times for my Hash Brown, Milk , Syrup. He was pissed. but I think he got my point!! Just get it right the first time and that doesn't happen read more

The last two times we have gone to this restaurant we haven't gotten our order right and didn't notice until we got home, that is ridiculous!! We could not get our money back and did not get all of our food! I would not recommend going to this establishment if you want to receive all of your order. read more

Much like the first review, I have stopped at this McDonald's a few times on my way to work. Not anymore....I understand it's a fast food restaurant and they are usually hiring from a pretty shallow applicant pool, especially during the hours that high school kids have to be in class. Any weekday morning it is painfully obvious that the workers they have haven't even walked past a high school not to mention actually attend one. The ebonics (sp) speaking, mush mouth, water head they have taking orders is possibly one maybe two IQ points smarter then the lamp post you pass as you pull in the drive. It took almost three minutes for this rocket scientist to speak clearly enough that I could understand her as I was trying to explain, one diet coke and one regular coke. She was then so excited with herself that she actually got it correct she held up the receipt like it was her GED and proclaimed 'look I got them switched"... Trust me, it sounded nothing like what you think, but I don't have a ghetto speech app. As I shared in her triumph I forgot to look at my order and guess what? The two drinks are the only things she got correct. Two out of six isn't bad I guess, if you're a minor league baseball player. When we figured out the order was as mistaken as this girls parents for marrying 1st cousins and breeding this joy into the world for us to share, we turned around and attempted to get the correct items and you wouldn't believe who the superstar manager is of this fine establishment is, yep you guessed it....it is Norwalk 's version of Precious's brother.... Or at the very least a immediate family member. The way this guy talks I felt like I was in the front row of the Apollo theatre on amateur night. It was like trying to have a conversation with Pookie from New Jack City, and not the sober Pookie, but the high as a kite crackhead Pookie. If this is the best this place can hire then Norwalk is doomed. They should just change from McDonald's to Popeye's chicken now and call it good. You're better off punching yourself in the sack and bouncing your forehead off your steering wheel then trying to get a correct order here.... It's less painful and will be closer to what you would ask for then these assclowns could ever do. Good luck. The interstate isn't that far away and the are much better places that actually care about their customers. read more

We go to this McDonald's a couple times a week and have been doing so since moving to Norwalk two months ago. We have always received outstanding service. Crew is friendly. Food always delicious and freshly prepared. Service is quick. We get the buy one/get one free sandwich coupons every time we go and always use those on our next visit. Went to this Mcdonalds for breakfast. Drive through and ordered Cinnamon Melts. Served me product stamped use by 2 days prior. Wrote the organization which just passed me off. Week later still no reply. I wouldn't trust this Mcdonalds to serve me safe food. Good luck! read more

Have gone to the Norwalk, IA McDonald's drive thru twice and both times they have messed up my order. First time, ordered a # 9 and they didn't give us the fries, tonight had a family of four order and two Big Macs didn't make it in the bag this time. I feel they are not including all your items thru the drive thru in hopes you wont notice. We live over 10 miles away from it so it isn't an easy drive to get back. read more

The is truly the worst McDonald's I've ever been to. I've had some sort of problem the majority of times I've been there. They get the order wrong approximately 1/3 of the time, frequently run out of a product, and are ridiculously under-staffed. This last one is the biggest problem. I've gone there when they weren't busy, and have had to wait 20 minutes for my food, because they only have two workers. This has happened numerous times to me. If I wanted to wait 20 minutes for food, I guarantee that I wouldn't be going to McDonalds. I'm one of those weird people who kind of likes McDonald's, but I no longer go to the one in Norwalk. Instead, I make the trip to West Des Moines or Fleur Drive. I recommend that you do the same. read more
