Hidden cafe in the middle of downtown Des Moines!…read more Located in the corner of 6th and Locust St, next to Potbelly Sandwich Shop. Coffee and Collectables. Cool combination. Lots of Pokémon items. They also sell their coffee beans, imported from Florida. Coffee was ok. Ordered cold brew latte, hot latte, apple juice. Plant based milks also available for milk substitution. I appreciated that. Coffee is on the lighter brewed taste scale. *Note*keep that in mind if you are a coffee snob or want a darker brew. I'm not sure if there was cross contamination of milk or if it was the roast of the coffee but my stomach hurt after an hour drinking the coffee. Other than that we have returned a handful of times. Service is nice and have been served by the owner, Ryan. If we have a Pokémon need we like to come here. Roman Exprés likes to run contests too so following on social media is a plus. *Note 2* Parking is street only and must be paid through Park DSM. Easy, but finding a spot can be tricky. I have luck parking near Walgreens and then walking.

Hubby got the iced Bananas Foster Latte and the kids all got Strawberry Juice Boxes (free dum-dum included). The Pink Melon-Ito Drink was delicious! Definitely felt like I was drinking a Mock Mojito. The Coolada wasn't bad as well. I think my Dad would like it since it has a Coconut flavor. They were both pretty sweet, so if sweet isn't your thing, maybe ask them for something less sweet. Hubby liked the Iced Bananas Foster. He is wanting to try their other Iced Lattes as well. The kids enjoyed their Strawberry Juice Boxes. One of my kids didn't like the Fizzy-Bubbly aspect of it but he said the flavors were good! I would definitely recommend this place. The ordering system should be upgraded to a drive-thru speaker system instead of ordering and paying at the window at the same time. Other than that, service was great and the drinks were good!
