It is worth the drive if you are within 40 minutes of the restaurant. Give the fried burrito a try if you are feeling spicy, or a charred chicken sub. They serve a Greek salad that is at the top of the heap for health food. Keep in mind this restaurant is an experience for South East KS and it is not just a local pizza joint. People drove from Wichita to enjoy the food before the owner opened a second location in Andover KS. Poplar has a seafood boil on some weekends that is excellent compared to the coast restaurants I have been to the crab legs on the larger side. Hunters from the area prefer the bar at Poplar and always recommend the restaurant during hunting season.
