But if this dinner was offered in KC or other large cities, I would choose it in a heartbeat. I had their Saturday night special 10oz KC strip steak (medium), cooked to perfection! The waitress brought A1 sauce to the table and we never cracked it open. The steak was juicy and very tender. We both had the baked potatoes and green beans (which were also amazing)! And no this isn't a paid advertisement. We also took home some desserts to try out (coconut cream pie and pecan bread pudding). We arrived at 5pm and there was only 3 tables taken. By 5:30, the place was packed. By 6pm, standing to wait. This will definitely be on our date night list.

The service was wonderful, the portions were generous...the fried mushrooms, boiled shrimp and salad bar were wonderful starters. I had the best prime rib here! I haven't had anything so tastefully perfect in a long time. My husband raved about his steak too. I enjoyed the laid back, country setting, and great service. I'm excited to have found a go-to place while visiting Kansas.

The last time we went there the food was excellent the service was even better. Went there tonight ordered a flight of their special drinks they were excellent. When we came to the meal the prime rib Burger in the picture was delicious, the onion burger was very good tasting not cooked properly we ordered it medium rare and it came out medium well and a little dried out the kicker was there was pretty much a whole side of onion on there not sliced. We ordered the large salad bar which was 650 for one small plate the wife enjoys pasta salad so she tried all of their pasta salad one dill pickle and those couple spoons of cottage cheese the only thing edible was the cottage cheese in the pickle everything else taste it like bland macaroni with very big hunks and green pepper and onion mixed in. She noticed this to the waitress after the waitress asked if we were done with it it was still a completely full plate with about four bites taken out. The waitress did not mention anything she didn't offer to reduce the price or take it off of the ticket. Very disappointing. As if there was a no care attitude available this evening they should have put that on the menu. As I said the food was pretty much delicious with a few adjustments made at the table. Will we go back that's up in the air. I'm including pictures of the meal and of the receipt

I've tried all of their steaks (including the bison), the salmon and shrimp. I have 2 favorites the salmon and the filet. The salmon is absolutely perfect every time and the sauce that is on the salmon takes it to another level. DE-LI-CIOS! Tonight I ordered the filet with a baked potato and green beans - to go. The steak was cooked to perfection and was loaded with flavor. I'm not one to go on about green beans but let me explain...they're cooked the old school way with onions, bacon, and spices, mmm, mmm. I will agree with some of the reviews, there are times when a steak's flavor is not what I expect BUT most of the time (like tonight even ordered to go) it's very good. No reactions here! If you need to order GF and have questions just ask one of the kind and helpful wait staff. The majority of them have been working there for years and can answer all questions you may have. We have a great experience every time we go or order to go. (By the way, My husband loves their burgers!)
