Tasty option for Mexican food! I highly recommend the Al Pastor street tacos. They were really good. The salsa is really fresh too. The enchiladas suizas were ok--the cheese sauce was good. The chicken just needs a bit more flavor. The rice is good. I would definitely eat here again! read more

As a Californian with high standards for Mexican food I wasn't sure what to expect. The food is good quality, fairly priced, large portions and great service. The coconut mojito was insanely yummy. Is this bad karma or just botched taco meat? With the demons finally expelled you return to bed thinking the worst is behind you only to wake to another sprint through the darkness. Rest comes but so does the next work day along with the relentless spicket and the fear of the coming hour commute. All goes well for the morning until you're hit with wave two of the terrible tacos! Do not buy beef tacos on sale for a 'very good price' but the chicken tacos are not! It's tainted meat! I used to really like this place when I first ate there but it feels like it's gone downhill the last few times I went there. I went today--on Cinco de Mayo--and it was terrible. I ordered the enchiladas suizas, the meal I had the first time I went there that I loved so much and couldn't stop talking about to my wife, but it wasn't the same. First of all, my food was cold. I don't mean still chilled from the refrigerator, but the fillings inside the enchiladas were still room temperature. The cheese hadn't even started trying to melt. Second, the server was as cold as the food was. I don't think she was being intentionally rude but she was not friendly and was all business. I felt she was trying to hurry me. Oh wow! What a find, I've been eating Mexican Food as long as I can remember and this place I've been coming to for about a year or so now. It never disappoints and is actually fantastic. Everything seems scratch made and is every bit as good as all the "big city" Mexican or TexMex restaurants found all over the Southwest. One thing that blew my mind tonight was their version of "Chili Colorado" mine was served with delicate slices of steak (aka, skirt steak) marinated perfectly, then drenched in an incredible red chili sauce. Served with the obligatory refried beans, and rice both of which are fabulous in their own right and not just a side dish filler. The "red chili sauce" took me to New Mexico instantly, and was fresh and yes spicy, a sneaky spicy as it took 3-4 bites to develop. I have to say this place is incredible for what it is, a great local Mexican Restaurant in a small town that would be a star attraction in a big city. Way to go Maria's!!! read more

Ordered the Molcajete Mexicano... amazing... but either have a fridge or extra people because it was too much for one person. Three meats, veggies and an amazing creamy spicy sauce. The fajita meat was of bad cut quality. Stringy and tough. I could taste the shrimp in my fajitas - which I did not order (steak and chicken) I could not finish it and walked out. Good, quick and consistent 'fast' sit down Mexican food with not many competitors in the area. They now have alcohol, which is a plus. Food comes out hot and very quick no matter how busy they are. Portions are large, you shouldn't be leaving hungry ever. Whenever the craving of Mexican comes this is my local stop. read more
