    Chicken melt with fries
    Zack M.

Ordered a chicken melt with fries to go for dinner the other night. Fries were basically steak cut fries absolutely soaked in grease. Each bite of fry you could taste the grease ooze out, salt not required since they come heavily pre salted. The quantity of fries was fair for the additional $2. As for the main sandwich, it had a decent amount of chicken and vegetables cooked right and not dry whatsoever. The bread it was on was basically soaked in grease from the grille and with each bite I could taste the heavy amount of sodium in the sandwich-at least the full days worth in just the sandwich alone. Anyone with high blood pressure, absolutely avoid this. I'll say on a positive note it's filling for $10 and would make a good late night meal after a night of drinking, that's about it. I've had better melts at school Cafeterias and better fries at the bar. I'll probably give them another try to see if something else on the menu is better. Wouldn't really go out of my way to go here again though.

POS System and menu don't match... ?

The food is good. My rating is based off of the blatant neglect regarding charging the customer properly/fairly. The menu in our mailbox, provided by his school, on the restaurant counter, and stapled to the bag have very different prices than what is actually being charged. 12.50 for a lasagna on the menu, and 13.95 upon paying.. before tax.. is not right. Check your receipts and the menu before paying! Check the image posted for reference.

The pizza is really cheesy and hot and it reminds me of a Brooklyn slice not too heavy on the dough. Overall it's on point

Drinks first: my slightly dirty martini was made exactly right. My friend went with cosmo and it was equally on point. Whoever is behind that bar has their act together. Then the food happened. We started with grilled bread with an EVOO, agave, and chile dip -- sounds simple, ate like a statement. The char on the bread, the heat and sweetness of that dip. Good sign of things to come. Main event: shrimp and grits. Guinea flint grits, spicy red sauce, sage, stock. I don't say this lightly -- this is one of the best things I've eaten in a long time. The grits were creamy and rich, the sauce had real depth and heat, and the shrimp were perfectly cooked. The whole bowl just worked on every level. Dessert: goat cheesecake with pistachio dust and berry compote. Tangy, creamy, not too sweet, and that pistachio dust on top was a perfect finish. We cleared the plate.

I am puzzled how there are so many great reviews for this establishment. I arrived at the top of…read morethe lunch hour and while there were a few getting take out, there was no one eating in. Should have been my first clue. The pizzas in the display case all looked enticing (although nothing labeled or priced) and I decided to get a Gramma slice along with the eggplant special listed for the day. I also got the ricotta/spinach bread showcased in the display case. I asked if the eggplant was a platter or a grinder/sandwich, and was told it was a sandwich. Great. Well, there was no grinder, no Italian bread, roll, but what looked to be either pizza or calzone dough made into bread like slices. Interesting. The taste wasn't great and it was difficult to pick up to eat without all falling apart, so I decided to remove the top piece of "bread" and eat it with a fork and knife. There was 1 piece of eggplant, 1 piece on each sandwich half. One. Eggplant Parm is cooked and then the slices layered, and usually there are at least 3-4 layers, but not this. The eggplant had many seeds in it indicating the eggplant is past its prime-not the freshest -and the seeds add a bitter taste. Not pleasing. Gobs of cheese atop the bread, but no Parmesan detected. The ricotta spinach was an inedible unappetizing mess of stringy cheese and overcooked spinach. The Gramma slice was ok but I would not return for this. The decor is great and the service was fine, but the food was not good and ended up in the garbage! Ugh! On street parking in downtown Bridgeport. I will not be returning nor recommending.

Rob Thomas was playing there that evening! lol holy flashbacks. Started with the Caesar salad and initially we said side salad so our waiter must have put that through but then we quickly changed it to the main Caesar so we could share it. I also ordered the Lobster ravioli and the man got the salmon. A few minutes go by and out comes the side Caesar salad from a food runner. Place was packed so they have food runners and bussers here. We then had to find our waiter to tell him he/they messed up. About ten minutes later the main Caesar comes, we are finally enjoying that and out come our hot entrees about a minute later. I HATE when entrees come while you are still eating your appetizers/salads or not even done with your drink. This is a sign of poor service/communication with the kitchen or just an incredibly overbooked restaurant and therefore; service suffers. Entrees-the Lobster ravioli came with ONE ravioli (Pictured). A lot of seafood comes with this dish which was very delicious and I was hungry so I ate 99% of it and then our server came over to ask how it was so I told him it was good but it only had one ravioli. It was more like a cioppino dish than a ravioli dish. He was so nice and said I'm going to send out another dish with more ravioli. I was pretty full so I didn't need more food, but I gladly took it home as it was very tasty. Man said the salmon was ok. Not the best. We then stayed for the band and they were phenomenal. They kept the sound under control so it wasn't blasting with customers having dinner. We decided to go over there after dinner and hang out. I will say the space for bands is very small. It's in the corner and there are tables awkwardly around the band and really no place to stand and watch the band unless you're around the corner. Strange setup but we had a blast. Food very tasty but I have to say I agree with the low ratings on this place because a lot of mishaps occurred.

First impression, there was someone smoking weed in the parking lot. Fine if that's what they want to do, but not the place for it. Came out, waited again for about 10 minutes, bartender saw me and just turned his back. So, obviously, this place is not for me.

I am a mail carrier, who works in the area. Please note, that I had also delivered to them when the regular was out on vacation, this is how I became a customer. I would purchase their personal size cheese pizza almost everyday while doing the route, or if and when in the area. Before leaving, I would use the bathroom, because as mentioned before ... I am a mail carrier with very little access to restrooms on the routes. So today, although I did not make a purchase today, I stopped there this morning to use the restroom. I again then tried to use the bathroom just now 3/2 @ 5pm and the young lady who is the cashier had an attitude and said to me that I basically shouldn't think that I can just come there and use their bathroom, and that I have to be a customer. I explained to her that I am a customer, I just wasn't making a purchase today. She continues to tell me that she's being "nice," and if it were anyone else .. they would tell me no to my face (lmao). I wanted to curse her out so bad, but me being in my uniform didn't allow me to. Anyways, I reiterated myself about me being a customer ... and that I just wasn't making a purchase ... she calls a gentleman over and he's like don't take it personal ... but it was already personal ... I had been spending my money there for a long time, just for you to deny me bathroom access. I told them straight up that they just lost a customer.
