Following the recommendation of a social media critic, I tried this restaurant. I was not impressed, definitely not worth the $45 and 25 minute drive in the snow to try it. Due to the viral review, they were sold out of the Sicilian pizza. I ordered a deluxe pan, 8 wings, and my husband had the Greek salad with "grilled" chicken, 2 fountain drinks was $45. The young lady at the counter was very knowledgeable and nice. I enjoyed her friendliness. The pizza was meh average at best. The wings tasted like the frozen hot wings, were fried crispy and I chose a sweet chili sauce. They were okay. My husband stated the salad needed more love(smaller ingredients such as banana peppers, lettuce, cucumbers, and crumble the feta). The chicken tasted precooked and reheated. I was very disappointed. With some tweaks to execution and freshness of ingredients, this establishment has potential.

I normally order slices or the steak sub with fries. Today, I was craving something healthy. I ordered the Greco Antipasta Salad & 2 pieces of garlic bread. The Extra Garlic Bread pictured is not what you actually get. It was actually the garlic sticks. I was actually glad because they are huge, pillowy soft and arrives warm. The Greco Antipasto salad was great as well. The provolone cheese is freshly shredded and the lettuce is actually chopped and not that bag salad mess that some places sell. The portion was huge. I ate half and saved the rest for later. The ranch is also great. Nice and thick with great flavor. I will definitely order a salad again. Everything is hand chopped and fresh. Give their salads a try.

It's been quite a while since my last visit, probably more than a year, maybe even two. But I happened to be in the area and thought I'd give them another chance. The last four times I was here, they really dropped the ball. So, I decided to keep it simple this time: a large cheese pizza, well done, with 12 wings - half hot honey, half plain - and two drinks. The drinks arrived promptly, followed by the wings in about 15-20 minutes. They were cooked to perfection. I ordered half plain wings because I wanted to savor the natural flavor without any sauce. They had a hint of seasoning, but could have used a bit more. Nonetheless, they were very tasty. Ten minutes later, our pizza arrived, also cooked perfectly. I always tell people that freshly made food is the way to go; the longer it sits, the more flavor and texture it loses. Today, I give this place a perfect 10 out of 10. The service was smooth and wonderful, and the restaurant looked nice and clean.

This is definitely my new favorite pizza place! As the pictures show, the pizzas are massive! The toppings are generous and the flavor is immense. The service is always professional and friendly with a family friendly vibe. If you like deep dish pizzas, I highly recommend Pizza Greco.

This has become one of our fave pizza stops- good prices, pizza & salads are always fresh, service with a smile. Don't forget the calzones & subs as well, but I always come back for the pizza!

I got pizza Greco randomly for lunch with a co worker, and they did have limited veggie options but I got their veggie wrap and it was essentially a salad wrapped in a pita lol but I mean I cannot complain it was everything that was described on the menu. They had other veggie options as well. My co worker boasted about their pasta he got and I did like my fries a lot and the extra sauces and dressings they gave us. Service for takeout was very good!

Was recommended this place by a coworker and decided to give it a shot. Everything was fantastic! I got it delivered it was very prompt still hot I had no complaints. The salad was very good it tasted as if they made the ceasar dressing in house which is a game changer. The rigatoni I got was delicious you can choose between Alfredo and Rose cream the rose cream was amazing only thing I might have added was a bit more garlic and black pepper but that is just me it was still very good! Last but not least the garlic was amazing very flavorful very fresh you can tell first bite that it was homemade will definitely be going back and seeing what else I can find!

    Calzone - Regular with pepperoni

Visited Pizza Greco on Saturday for lunch. They had steady business for dining in and taking out. The cashier was friendly and took my order before I went and took a seat. My Caesar salad was ready very quickly. There was a to go container placed on the counter with a cup of dressing. A few grumbles. part of the joy of a Caesar is that it's pre-dressed and the easiest salad to eat. I even just wish they would have put the salad on a plate instead of just serving in the clamshell container. Unfortunately, there was also a piece of saran wrap mixed in my romaine lettuce. I also got a pepperoni calzone. It was a great size and certainly stuffed full with cheese. I wish there were a few more pepperonis in there. I really enjoyed the marinara that came with the calzone. I REALLY wish that they provided actual silverware and not just plastic cutlery. I went through two forks and two knives cutting my calzone into pieces because the cutlery just kept bending out of shape due to the high heat. I love that the calzone was hot (and stayed hot), but it made for just a poor eating experience. All in all, I'd probably get take-out from Pizza Greco again but this experience was just ok.

    Regular stromboli oozing with toppings

When I heard that Slice of Napoli had sold their business, I was legitimately dismayed. My favorite spot for pizza, calzones, and hot sandwiches suddenly gone? Say it ain't so! But, I definitely had hope for the future, as I learned the people who bought it also own long-time Winston area favorites TJ's deli (in the same shopping center) and Duke's. I also learned they kept the recipe for pizza sauce intact, and many of the menu favorites. I finally decided to shed my woe, and roll into the freshly named Pizza Greco. This name is accurate, as in addition to most of what you remember from Napoli, there is now a nice selection of Greek sandwiches and foods like Gyros. The space inside has also been seriously upgraded making it feel larger, as well as new upholstery on the booths, which was vastly needed. Drinks are now Pepsi products and self-serve, and it's all counter service, which I also like a lot. My one negative on the drinks, is the tea is no longer brewed, and the replacement brand has a strange smokey flavor I don't like. For food, my wife ordered a regular calzone with pepperoni, and I ordered a regular stromboli which comes with up to 3 toppings. I went for pepperoni, sausage, and mushrooms. After about 15-20 minutes, our giant pizza burritos were up and piping hot. They were, as they were before, MASSIVE. We each had half, and enjoyed the other half later for dinner. The taste was awesome, still plenty of high quality cheese, hers both mozzarella and ricotta. Toppings were definitely not skimpy, plenty of all types in mine and hers. If we had one complaint, not enough of the delicious sauce for dipping! We each needed another full cup to finish our other half, and be mindful, there is a 50 cent charge for extra sauce. In general, the prices are higher than what we saw before at Slice of Napoli, but really, that was because they were so much lower than anyone else in the area. Current prices at Pizza Greco are on par with what you'd find at most other similar restaurants in the area. It's impossible not to compare the two, but this will be the last time I do it. I'm happy to report that Pizza Greco is going to make you happy when you visit, and we look forward to visiting again!

    "Small" pepperoni calzone
    Rachel S.

I had an awesome experience for my first visit! As many will mention, this location used to be Slice of Napoli, which was a favorite in our household. I am so happy to report the quality and care of the restaurant is in GREAT hands! The new owner, which already owns a few restaurants in the W-S area, took great care in upgrading the interior. With new paint, new countertops, and new upholstery, the space looks larger, cleaner, more customer-friendly. I like the switch to counter service so that it's easy on the staff, easy on the customer. They now have a drink station, which I will always prefer to table service. Now on the to good stuff. My calzone was baaangin. Huge slice, and mine was the "small" portion. This was stuffed with high-quality pepperoni and buffalo mozzarella and ricotta cheeses. The dough was perfectly cooked with a nice crust to the outside, soft--but fully cooked--insides. I like the amount of ricotta this one had as often times I wish my calzones had more than what typical places provide. The marina sauce was flavorful and paired so well with the calzone. I only wish I had more! My partner ordered the stromboli and was equally impressed with the portion, toppings, and flavor. The owner was really interested in our feedback on our meals. He was so kind and had so much passion when he talked about his history and of his family as they own several restaurants in the area, including a favorite of ours, TJ's Deli. Knowing the quality that TJ's has always presented, we knew we were in for a treat. I know at some point I will def. want to try out the "Greco" side of the food as they have an expanded menu with traditional Greek options. Bottom line, for those wary the quality has changed with it's new owners, put your fears aside. This place is excellent and is in excellent hands with the new owner, and we look forward to returning soon!

It always begged the question..."where is the OTHER Italian steakhouse in Winston-Salem?" You certainly are the best if you are the only one. This evening we arrived from driving in from Charleston for our 7pm reservation. we were greeted and promptly seated. 15 minutes into the meal, I got a voice mail ( I turn my ringer off for dinner nowadays) telling me my table as available. I let our server know that we had received the message so that they could alert the front desk. A day or so afterwards I received an email from OpenTable letting them know that I never completed my reservation. That was out of control of the server, so let's talk about that. She was very friendly and did a good job with a table no complaints with that. We started the evening with the calamari. It was average, not terrific but certainly not bad. We also ordered a wedge salad which they graciously split into so we each could share some. It was a good wedge. We ordered a bottle of Tormaresca Primitivo wine, A nice deep ruby colored liquid, that tasted of dried red fruit, rose petal, & forest floor but with the acidity of which Italian reds are famed. We ordered the Tomahawk entree that included a big steak and two sides of a baked potato (loaded) and creamed spinach. All printed on a large wood carving board. Great presentation. Sides were pretty good. Steak looked wonderful..great crust and seasoning. Cooked perfectly to a medium rare. A really good steak for one that wasn't at Prime grade or better. All in all it was a good experience and I will definitely consider Fratelli's when being back in Winston-Salem.

While the foyer seemed unchanged, the rest of the restaurant was bright and gave a family dining / Cracker Barrel feel with the painted wooden walls and abundant tables and chairs. For the price of a meal here, you would expect a more upscale, low / sexy lighting that gives that Italian era vibe that they're going for. Now onto service, after receiving our waters, it was another 10 minutes before we saw anyone else to take our drink order. Because we had been waiting so long, we already knew what we wanted to order and took advantage of our server while we could. No telling how much longer we would have had to wait. Well it gets better. They bring our salads probably 5+ minutes later and still no drinks. It wasn't until I inquired about them that we received them. Once our main course arrived, we were hopeful but we quickly let down as we ate our steaks. I ordered MR and got M and my partner got MW when he ordered M. While it was supposed to be a night to celebrate, it was a night that ended with disappointment. We love Fratellis but not this new version.

Also why wasn't the Italian sausage baked within the baked ziti? Why offer a meat option if you're not going to add it in. The arancini was cheesy but it lacked the creaminess that it should have that adds to the flavor. The creamy burrata and prosciutto was probably the star of this experience.
