I was sad I was not able to satisfy my craving and then I saw pizza District and I decided to give it a try. It was 10 mins before closing and I hated to be that customer but I asked if they could still help me and they happily said yes. Everyone was pleasant and happy to help. My wife and I ate at Pizza District recently with our daughter and her family. First off, our waitress was lovely. She was polite, courteous, and very attentive to our requests. The food, however, was disappointing. The salads were so-so...the pizzas were also so-so...the wings were the best of the night. I'm not much of a pizza guy; I guess I'm that rare breed that doesn't love what is arguably one of the most popular foods in America, but when my wife comes home for the N'th time saying you have to try this place; well, I guess I have to join her and try this place. FIRST VISIT We grabbed a table outside on my first visit (apparently my wife has been here a few times with friends and once with one of our boys). The girl greeted us and brought us water right away. She made a couple suggestions and we ended up sharing a large pizza... I actually listened to my wife and did not look over the menu because she knew I'd end up ordering a hot sub or something else. She did though pick exactly what I expect I would've ordered on my own.... one half BBQ CHICKEN (with caramelized onions, mozzarella, asiago and fresh basil) and the other half was MIZNER PARK (Italian meatballs, ricotta, parmesan, tomato sauce and fresh basil). Pizza came and this stuff is good.... After a few bites, Nico (the owner) came by to ask if we were pleased and if we need anything else (just as my wife told me he always does every time she has eaten here). RESTAURANT OWNERS... take note, mingling with your customers, showing you care, goes a long way to win over a customer. Even if food wasn't amazing, I'd return to a place that has this kind of commitment and passion. SECOND VISIT Go figure I returned only one week later... I'd admit, I did not get pizza but glad I didn't because I was quite pleased with my dinner. We started with a CESAR SALAD to share... it was good; then we shared two hot subs. MEATBALL PARMESAN was phenomenal (loved the meatballs and loads of gooey mozzarella cheese and the hoagie roll was excellent). The other sub was CHICKEN PARMESAN (it was very good although I wish the chicken wasn't breaded but it was clear on the menu that way). SINCE THEN.... We've had their CLASSIC CHEESE pizza and the HAWAIIAN... got to say, I'm really liking their pizza. Another night, we came in to share another CESAR SALAD and tried out a couple flavors of their BAKED WINGS; I don't recall the flavors but they were cooked right but too much sauce on both. Tried Pizza District based on reviews and pictures. We were going to order a pizza for pick up but after looking at their website saw that they offered pizza by the slice so decided to go there to try a few different slices. When we got there the pizzas they had out didn't look fresh so we went back to the original plan and ordered a fresh pepperoni pizza. (The cashier said pizzas were made about 20 minutes prior.) The pizza was alright. It wasn't bad. I liked the thin crust and topping portion was good. It also wasn't the best pizza I've had so felt the average rating was fair.
