We ordered a variety of dishes, including the pizza, which was delicious, a fresh grilled chicken salad, and the penne, which ended up being everyone's favorite at the table. One of the breads was topped with an incredible tomato sauce, and I honestly haven't stopped thinking about it. It was so simple, yet so flavorful. I could have eaten an entire basket of just that alone! It's also BYOB and has outdoor seating, which makes it an even better spot for a relaxed meal. We'll definitely be back!

The inside of the restaurant nice but haven't really gotten to experience eating inside. I've mostly ordered to go, but I have not been disappointed any time ive gone! I love their cheesesteaks, one of the best cheesesteaks in NJ ive had so far! I can't wait to try other food items on the menu. I convinced my group yesterday to order cheesesteaks as well. Some did, and one other person got an order of shrimp scampi, which she enjoyed. Another got a Chicken Parm Sub & he said it was chef's kiss! The staff were super quick & friendly! Definitely love coming here!

I cannot explain why it took 7 years after Florence, Italy natives Alberto Buglione and Ivan…read moreGuarducci took over this restaurant for me to visit. It is outstanding! Over the years I have heard nothing but good from friends -- "Excellent" "Exactly like they make it in Florence!" "Best Italian food I've ever tasted." I went with a party of four. For appetizers we split the Polpo E Patate (grilled octopus & potatoes) and Patate Fritte (French fries). The octopus was amazing, tender almost like perfect scallops with a tasty pesto. The French fries with herbs, garlic bread crumbs and pesto were crunchy, tasty, delicious. For mains my companions had Branzino with eggplant carponata, an amazing 4-cheese Gnocchi, and swordfish. I tasted all, and all were spot on; everyone loved their main course. I had Linguini Vongole (clams and linguini); the clams were perfect - tender and tasty; but the star of the show was the homemade linguine, seasoned perfectly and cooked to al dente perfection. We finished with cappuccino and Tiramasu. The service was excellent. Attentive and quick, and our waitress, Merin, was able to answer every question about the menu with authority, and even about the ingredients and preparation. The ambiance is understated, relaxed, and what you hope for when enjoying a special meal. I am quite stingy in passing out 5-Star ratings; I reserve them for the best of the best, for restaurants where I'm confident readers will also enjoy an outstanding meal. Mangia Toscano is clearly 5-Star; it is *the* must-do restaurant in Metuchen.

Brooklyn Boys is my favorite pizza place of all time! I drive from Virginia to eat there and pack…read moreup a few pies to bring back home. I have family members that aren't partial to pizza, but they try to fight me for the last piece of a Brooklyn Boys pie. If I'm visiting NYC, I stop here first for good pizza. The crust, cheese, and sauce-on-top is what makes this pizza the best. I've never had a pizza crust like this, and I love how crisp it is. I usually have to ask for pizza "well done" at other places, but never here. I love the taste of the sauce (not too herby or too sweet) and that it's put on top of the cheese. The cheese is the perfect texture, has a great taste, and always comes out nicely browned. The interior of the restaurant is small and seems more geared towards lunchtime diners grabbing a slice, but there are at least 2 tables that sit 4. There's also a few tables outside. They don't sell any alcohol but I can forgive that. It can feel a little off when you walk in (usually no one greets you and it's quiet like a library) but it's not a big deal. On my last visit, the entry door was propped open so it was pretty hot and humid inside. Of course, this didn't stop the pizza from being the best. I am eagerly anticipating my next visit to Brooklyn Boys pizza. I wonder how many pies I can fit in the car next time.

It was the first time I ever had a chicken Caesar salad slice, and I was surprised how good it was! The chicken was moist and well seasoned, and the salad on dressing on top was so tasty! My husband also tried a plain slice and a sausage slice, and he thought they were just ok. They had a big selection of all different specialty slices that all looked great. I'd like to try their bbq chicken slice next time. I'd skip their regular slices, but I highly recommend coming here for their delicious specialty slices!
