I've heard about this place from so many people that I had to go try it for myself. What makes Pizza Connection different from other pizza joints? 1. They cut their pizza into squares...yes, I know what you are thinking. Who cares? And you are right, the shape of pieces really doesn't matter. 2. Great seasoning on the pizza, which gives it great taste! 3. This pizza has what I like to call "cracker crust" - thin and crispy. I prefer Chicago style pizza, but this was rather good. Ohh yeah I went at 11:20am and thought I would be the first person there. Nope, there were already about 7 parties who already seated. GO TO J BURNS' INSTEAD. Why do I say that? Well, we went to Pizza Connection Friday night, 9-17-22. We got there at exactly 6:00 and placed our order at 6:14. We got $80 worth of food here, and being a Friday night, we realized it would be crowded, so we were as patient as possible. At 7:30, I went to ask about where the food was. The girl I spoke to went in search of our order, spoke with one of the cooks, which I heard say "We haven't seen that order." Now, after over an hour waiting and realizing your order did not even get processed, we felt it would be in good faith for them to comp our order to make things right. We told this to the girl, WHO AGREED to comp us our order and make the pizza due to the oversight. Happy ending, right? Wrong. They send this cook, let's call him Meathead, over to our table, with 5 children, to say they will not make our pizzas being comp'd. When I asked if he was the manager, he kind of shrugged, so I really don't know if he was in charge, but I don't appreciate a business establishment sending a bully to a customer to intimidate them after they screw up so significantly. So I demanded to speak to someone else. There was a woman he pointed to as a manager who looked like she was running things, and after explaining to her the situation, she STILL protested making our order, while also selling out her employee in front of customers. Only after great protest did she agree to make our order that we ended up waiting on for 1.5 hours for. Then we found out that this happened to the customer directly behind us and there were also customers when we first walked in that were complaining about their order being lost. NEVER. AGAIN. Go to J Burns' instead. read more

Tried this place for the first time tonight. Ordered the Everything Pizza. The price seemed a little high but well worth it after receiving it. The toppings were plenty. It was delivered in a reasonable amount of time and the driver was very professional. Looking forward to trying a different pie next time. You got to try this place if you havent! read more

Been going here for years & nothing has changed. Love their pizza & sandwiches. The Roast Beef sandwich is good, alittle greasy for my taste, but overall a good sandwich. Not a fan of the (hot/cold) ham & cheese. Not enough flavor & taste like something I can make at home. I love their pizza. Thin crust & very crispy, just the right amout of sauce & toppings. The location has limited seating, and always busy. Best to order to go (ahead of time) & do a pick up instead of trying to find a seat after ordering. The employees seem confused sometimes & the place always seem frantic. Sometimes you get a rude employee taking orders. Last time I ordered inside, the employee was smacking his gum & I could barely understand a word he was saying. Overall, great prices & great pizza. read more

Horrible service. Paid $8 for a salad, didn't have chicken on it, which I paid for, and was literally lettuce and two tomatoes. Called to request another one and the guy called me a liar and said there was chicken on it. To deliver another to me, it was going to take an hour without an upgrade or any considerations. Ridiculous. I've been going here for years and years and will never go back. Don't call your customers liars and then blame them for your mistake and maybe you wouldn't get bad reviews. Also might not want to have your managers scream at customers over the phone. Could have been handled better. read more

This is the BEST pizza we've had in years!!! We ate at the restaurant and the joint was hopping!! And it was Monday!!! The pizza came FAST! Their thin crust is amazing! It's so crispy and yummy!! Can't say enough good about this place. Seriously, you want to try this! We are from Illinois, wanted some pizza and had no idea it could be this good! Prices are great too!! 16 inch 2 topping pizza and four soft drinks for $26. (Including tax) We plan to order it to check on the delivered crust, if it's as spectacularly crispy from the box!! Ordered a large thin crust pepperoni pizza with extra pepperoni. Waited 10 minutes before they asked me if I wanted it dine or to go. Once I finally received the pizza I took it home only to find it buried under an extraordinary amount of pepperoni, so much so that I could hardly see the pizza itself! So much pepperoni that half of them were raw and uncooked all the way. Yes I asked for extra pepperoni NOT Triple pepperoni? Just like a few extra and this seems like a mean joke just for asking for extra pepperoni? All in all this is NOT edible for consumption. read more

Customer service is severely lacking. They get two stars because their pizza is good but my last order was delivered with the pizza (mostly) uncut! To cut their pizzas they use a single long blade and slice by hand in both directions giving square cuts. I had 4 cuts in one direction and none in the other direction effectively giving me pizza strips! I don't have a pizza cutter. I don't even have any knives with me. Their resolution? Offer me 10% off a future purchase. At best that's $2 off am already premium priced pizza. It was insulting and shows lack of care for their customers experience. I no longer recommend them and will take my money elsewhere. read more

I've been to Pizza Connection multiple times over a few years of time. The pizza is always a consistent product and good. Their crust is thin & crispy. I don't know if they offer any other crust options as I've never asked for anything different from their "standard" offering. It's basic pizza here--nothing fancy, but that is my personal preference. The atmosphere is super casual--more like a diner really. The counter staff are thorough and the busing staff have always been courteous & friendly too. They do use styrofoam cups for drinks, which I would rather not have IF there was a choice. Otherwise, Pizza Connection is a go-to restaurant for me when I choose to go out for pizza. read more

Just ordered a large pizza online with instructions to have pizza brought out to curbside for pickup. We live out by Legoland and it's quite a journey to get pizza but we have been loyal customers for years. On the way to pick up our order, I received a call from PC stating that I would have to come into the establishment to pick up our order. I explained that we are trying to minimize our chances of exposure to Covid-19, especially since we are over 65 with multiple risk factors,... and that they had done curbside 2 weeks ago. Told that they are NOT doing that, so I ended up cancelling as they refused to bring out the pizza. Very short-sighted on their part as we will no longer frequent their establishment even though we have been going there for years! Obviously, this establishment isn't concerned about the health of their customers... Will no longer recommend!!! read more

Visited Monday evening. This was the worst pizza and salad I have ever had. Pizza was poor quality, card board crust, gritty meal on the bottom, tasteless meat, scarce sauce and cheese. I have had better frozen pizza that I cooked in the oven at home. Salad was poor quality, brown edges on the lettuce, looked like something an inexperienced preparer would come up with. Would have returned the items but had to wait so long for the pizza, did not want to try to get anything better and wait longer. Very disappointed and will not return for pizza at this restaurant in the future. read more

Some of the most tasteless cardboard like pizza ever. Crust: thin and flavorless. Sauce: bland and no flavor profile. The toppings: mediocre at best. Go to your grocery stores freezer section, find the cheap little personal pizzas and that's exactly what you'll expect out of here. Maybe it's because I was raised on this, but the pizza is worth double the price! Bacon and ham is unreal, not sure where they get their ingredients, but they are top quality. The service, cleanliness, and kids running wild would run most people away. Fairly great place in the small town of Auburndale. My boyfriend and I did half Pepperoni and Half Hawaiian and the ham was DELICIOUS. I love the fact that it was shredded too because it made for a better even distribution throughout and they put plenty of pepperoni on it too. Staying local at Good Shepherd hospice and decided I wanted pizza for lunch. Tried Pizza Connection and was very pleased!! We went in around noon and the place was busy but not overwhelmingly so. Service was quick when ordering. Three of us went for lunch; I had a mini sized veggie pizza. Mini is a 7" and it was a perfect individual size! Another person had a ham & cheese sandwich. It came with potato chips and we ordered the lunch special that came with a small salad. We were able to change the cheese and remove the mayo on the sandwich. We were very pleased with our experience. The only one thing I would say was goofy was there was one lady that would deliver food to your table based on calling out your number and she was LOUD. My first time eating here. When you walk in you order at the register. I couldn't find a menu to look at, so I asked for 2 slices of peperoni but they don't sell pizza by the slice so instead I was offered a personal pizza 6" and I agreed. The service was good and the pizza arrived quickly. Now, as far as the pizza goes, it wasnt anything special. The pepperoni tasted like the kind you get in a kids lunchable, the crust was very thin, over cooked, and hard, and the pizza sauce tasted like canned pizza sauce. Overall, it wasn't very flavorful at all, it was like eating a frozen pizza you get at the frozen section in Publix then go home and cook it in the oven; you eat it because it's cheap, you're hungry and in a hurry, not because it's anything good. I was disappointed since the reviews on here are pretty good and that's partly why I went. I don't think I will ever go back, since I can get the same quality pizza at the frozen food section of my local grocery store. read more

I have been eating Pizza Connection for 25 years. Even before they moved to the location they are in now. I'm actually waiting for them to open so I can order a pie for lunch. The cornmeal crusted bottom is awesome thin pizza. I haven't eaten anything but pizza, so I can't comment on their sandwiches but I will continue to eat their tasty pizza as long as I'm around. Friendly, hometown people and southern hospitality. J Burns opened back on Cleveland Heights in Lakeland so I drove over to check it out. It was good but not better than PC. Amazing! Really one of the finest pizza places I have been in. There are fancier restaurants with snazzier pizza; there are food joints with better specialities of pizza; there exist places with a better physical building. But if you like pizza, are looking for a neighborhood feel, and do not want to radically overspend, then this is your place!! I have two specific negatives: one, the table seating is not adjustable so there is no way a big boy like me can fit comfortably in any of the seating though they will bring out a chair for you if asked- I wish they would give a table or two for better seating options; second, they do not make deep dish pizza as far as I can tell- that is fine by me but if you are a deep dish zealot then this isn't for you.
