For me, it's better than 90%+ of the pizza places back home in the Bay Area. You really can't beat the price or the student special. It's quick, they're always friendly, and if they ever mess something up--which is rare--they do a great job making it right. The pizza itself is crispy, they have tons of different options, and you HAVE to get the ranch--it's really good. Overall, it's honestly the one pizza place I wish they had back home near me.

When I saw Chico had a Woodstocks, I had to visit! We got a small salad and a personal pizza (the even do half/half on personals!). Service was friendly and prompt, and our drinks and salad came out quickly. I did an "upgrade" on my cocktail to add an additional shot for $3 (visiting Chico after all!) and it was perfect! Great addition! Greek salad was super fresh and delicious! Lots of great flavorful veggies, and a great dressing. Our personal pizza came out a few minutes later, and was still dangerously hot! I love it when I get food that is so fresh it is still piping hot! Pizza was awesome - plenty of toppings, and the classic curled/folded crust is still a hit! Awesome! Always glad to see these old institutions holding up! Woodstocks is a classic! On another note - they were doing live music and letting local bands play on one side of the restaurant - and drew a crowd on the street and across the street! I love to see businesses that support the arts -and this really added to the lively and festive atmosphere! Good on you Woodstocks! Sorry, just got a good shot of the salad - trust me, the pizza was awesome too - apparently we couldn't control ourselves when it hit the table!

Not bad enough to complain but really weren't up to standard based on price and description. We ordered the Special which was a pile of angel hair pasta mixed with pesto in the middle (very dry), and around that it was supposed to have chicken, asparagus, roasted garlic and heirloom tomatoes. I can't remember what else. I only found two small bites of chicken. Not worth $34. The other dish was the Chicken Picatta and the sauce was very thick, not the lighter thin sauce with capers we've become used to and green bell peppers were one of the veggies they added to the pasta. Those are so over powering to the other flavors of artichoke hearts and mushrooms. The balance of ingredients was just off for how much money they now charge. (prices have recently increased and dishes are mostly in the $28+ unless your getting the basics ie spaghetti) Don't plan to return for anything but the Caesar salad dressing!

We were promptly seated, and given a great spot near the wall-sized indoor fountain which was nice. We started with cocktails and appetizers, and they all came out quickly. We started with bread, which was excellent. We moved on to the grilled artichokes, which were also pretty special. The jalapeno aioli added to the smokiness of the grilled artichokes. We loved them. The bib salad was also a treat - nice chop, and the lardons were perfectly cooked little flavor bombs that stood up nicely to the blue cheese. We had the lobseter ravioli, and the single-layer crispy lasagne for our meals. The lobster ravioli was delicious, and the freshly made sundried tomatoes added a little extra structure to balance the plate. The single layer lasagne was really interesting. Wasn't sure what to expect, and the server said it was a little controversial, so I tried it. It came out as a large sheet - fresh spinach pasta sheets, layered with a delicious bolognese sauce, and topped with pesto and bechamel. Unconventional? Yes. Delicious? YES! I'm so glad I was feeling experimental - it was an innovative dish. Overall, we loved it. Service was very solid - attentive, without being intrusive. Perfect evening! Previous review: Dropped in here just to check it out. We came early on Thursday, and it was jumping! Got a seat at the Kitchen bar to have a few apps, and a cocktail, and had a fantastic snack and talked with some great folks in the kitchen. Pizza is fantastic wood -oven style, and the service was great. Wish I had photos - but I'll save those for the next time i visit and do a more thorough tour of the menu.

The restaurant was a little difficult to find, as there was no obvious signage on the door. We arrived around 4 PM on a Thursday and sat at the bar. Unfortunately, we waited about 10 minutes before the bartender acknowledged us. After ordering our drinks, we felt somewhat uncomfortable with the interaction. The service came across as unwelcoming, and we didn't feel particularly valued as customers. We were there during happy hour, when well drinks were advertised at $10. However, when we received our bill, the whiskey sour was charged $6 more than expected, along with an additional 3% service fee. We were also paying cash. Additionally, the wine glass had a chip along the rim, which was concerning. We ended up having our drinks and asking for the check rather than staying longer. It's unfortunate because the restaurant itself is lovely, and the menu looks wonderful. I rarely leave negative reviews, but I felt this experience was worth sharing. I hope the owner takes this feedback constructively, as a few people we spoke with had similar experiences. With a little more attention to service, hospitality, and the details, this could be a much more enjoyable place to visit.

This pizzeria seems to be family owned as it's always the same employees working there when i visit including a man that genuinely cares about your experience and wants you to return. The pizza is unique, it's not quite a deep dish but thicker than a standard pizza crust. Toppings go all the way to the edge. The taste is somewhat buttery, and they have a proprietary spice and cheese blend that is sprinkled on top and really adds to the overall flavor. Cheese sticks are similar to Papa John's or Mountain Mike's in that you get a pizza cut into sticks with a dipping sauce.
