Downtown Sylacauga is delightful, especially at Christmas when it's decorated with oversized ornaments, and wreaths and traditional decorations on the light poles. There are several specialty shops (outdoor wear and essentials and boutiques) and Pizza and Pint on Main Street. Their specialty, of course, is pizza, and my friend and ai shared the Mediterranean, because of the olives and other favorite ingredients. Along with that we had a glass of Merlot (so it isn't just pints). Our Hostess and Server was the Bartender, and despite the fact that there were about 4 tables already seated, and half dozen sitting at the semi-circle bar, she took care of us efficiently and charmingly. Pizza & Pint is AMAZING! Our first time there. We were passing through Sylacauga on our way to Talladega. I noticed the store front of the restaurant. Wasn't open yet. Too early in the morning. But the front of the restaurant was very chic and industrial. Looked like a nice place to eat. On our way home from the race, we decided to try it out. We were not disappointed! The menu is small. They only deal with pizzas. Good selection of beer and wine. We had the Hawaiian pizza and mozzarella bread. VERY GOOD. Thin crust, nice edges, well cooked and a great crunch! It was very surprising. The service was great . Our waitress was going on almost 9 hours of work but she never showed it. She was a trooper! A late rush came in from the race track. We were part of it. I'd like to do 2.5 stars, but settling on 3. The Good: the pizza! It's better than average pizza. If you can get it... which leads me to... The Bad: This place is terribly disorganized. Service is friendly but slooooooow. They're usually understaffed, they run out of things (lots of things recently). Often, two people are sitting in 7 person tables so you're stuck. Oh, and kids EVERYWHERE running completely amok. The Ugly: now there's a 4% fee for using a credit card. lol!! Oh, and PEPSI products. Nah, fam. I don't think so. What a nice surprise in the small town of Sylacauga, AL. Right on the main street you will find delicious pizza, beer, wine, great service and an amazing atmosphere. They offer plenty of outdoor seating, great for groups and wide selection of wine and beer. No other spirits though. At first I was concerned when I saw the less than satisfactory condition of the menus because they were wrinkled, had whiteout and handwritten add ons. Don't let that fool you. They have unique pizza combinations such as a bacon cheeseburger pizza, dessert pizzas, white pizzas and more! My waitress was super friendly, told me about the history of the place and made great recommendations. Be sure to try this hidden gem. read more

We tried this place for the first time and it was great. The pizza is amazing. The beer selection is really good as well and we had great service from our waitress. The vibe is really cool and there is plenty of seating inside and there is some outdoor seating as well. The only thing we didn't love were the chairs (at least the ones inside) were uncomfortable- we both said we would have stayed longer and had another drink if the chairs had been better. A couple of friends of mine came in from out of town before Thanksgiving & we all decided on Pizza & Pint. This place did not disappoint! They have an extensive list of specialty pizzas, wine, & beer that is nothing but impressive. We decided on the bacon cheeseburger & the supreme which I definitely recommend. Nice little hangout in this small downtown. Menu is pretty simple, just pizza and beer. The good thing is, they have a dozen or so offerings of craft beers. We ordered a pizza and also did ask if they had any appetizers of any sort and they said they had cheese sticks (and raved about them), so we ordered them. "Cheese sticks" came out and was simply a cheese pizza with garlic on it sliced longways and some marinara sauce for dipping. This was not very good and disappointing as they were far from being any cheese stick I've ever had. The restaurant was packed on one side and we weren't greeted or anything so we looked for an employee and asked if we just look for own table and she said yes. We sat for about good 15-20 min and a server came and took our order. The appetizer and the pizza both came out pretty quickly and piping hot which was very good. The supreme pizza tasted a lot like Costco pizza but I like their pizzas so that was a plus. Our server was nice and he gave my husband a law enforcement discount. This is one of the better pizzas I've had in the southeast!! Run, don't walk, to Pizza & Pint. The two servers that were in the location during our Saturday lunch were very nice and accommodating. We were greeted and told to sit anywhere we'd like. We were given a wine and beer list along with a menu. There were many specialty pizzas that looked great on the menu, ranging from expected (meat specialties, etc) to unexpected -philly cheesesteak pizza, smoked salmon etc. We were feeling pretty particular and decided to build our own with white sauce, sundries tomatoes, caramelized onions, mushrooms and fresh basil. The sauce was savory, melty and to die for! It had a slight garlic flavor without being overpowering. The crust was perfectly crispy. Visited you guys twice in four days! I hate I didn't get a picture of your Crazy Good Stick but I see where they get the name from. First night we had the Pepperoni Pizza and the cheesy bread. The pizza was great. My daughter and I both loved the crust. We ordered a sausage pizza and a Margherita pizza. I wish the fresh basil had been placed on the pizza after it was baked. The basil was crispy and we had to pick it off. There aren't enough servers for attentive or rapid service. Our server definitely didn't make us feel welcome. We seated ourselves because nobody was in sight to help us when we walked in. About five minutes later, she appeared and gave us menus. She never said her name, so she's just "our server". After playing several "Which character from 'The Office' are you?" she appeared again to get our drink orders. In between trying to figure out how to get Jim instead of Angela (hint: sandwich for lunch--not leftover pasta;), we'd already decided on our pizza choice. I told her our drink orders and she was ready to run off the second I got those words out of my mouth. I quickly told her that we know what pizza we want, too. She sighed, shook her head, and dramatically opened her order pad. My keen sense of awareness and daily experience with teenagers made it clear that she was annoyed and I apologized if I was doing this wrong and she only wanted drink orders. She didn't reply, so I tried again...I can wait until after we get our drinks. Her response..."what pizza?" I told her and she took off. My girls and I looked at each other and I asked "Is it just me or..." and before I could finish they responded No! She does not like you. I had to get confirmation that my attempt to order a pizza...at a pizza place...wasn't way out of line. My girls assured me that I didn't do anything wrong and she's just incredibly unpleasant. The girls drinks arrived in a timely manner. Mine didn't. She cruised by 20 minutes after our order and I got her attention to ask for my beverage as nicely as possible. She apologized and arrived with it a few minutes later. We made it through the meal and I thought the server and I were ok. When I paid in cash and asked if we could have a couple dollars in quarters in the change, she was back to her initial charming self. The sigh, the glare, the silence, and then she's gone. I find it hard to believe that other patrons don't ask for quarters. They have six gumball machines placed strategically at the exit. At least I didn't ask at a random time during the meal or if I paid with a credit card. Don't worry...I still gave her 20% tip. Our bill wasn't very high and she still deserved the tip for her work. She has to cover a lot of ground. The restaurant is really big. There's an outside seating area, two inside areas, and a bar in the first seating area. The tables aren't jammed next to each other and the high open ceilings make it feel very roomy. The bathrooms are spacious, also, and have industrial steel doors. They have a salad bar and tvs. I'll definitely go back...and bring quarters from home;) read more

Great place for a quality pie. Really kind of surprised for Sylacauga AL. I will absolutely stop in the next time I'm in town on business. For pizza my go to first time is pepperoni. If that's good and I make a second trip I try a specialty pie. Like Mexican good first time I get carne asada taco's then if I go back, I try something else. Again really good pizza. I chose a 1/2 & 1/2 pizza (Pizzanaut and Buffalo Chicken) because I couldn't decide on just one flavor of pizza toppings. They were top notch! I loved their house crust. My best friend ordered the cheese sticks and wow! They were such a delicious way to start our meal. We had a great server, Jeanne who was very hospitable and friendly!! I am already looking forward to my next trip to Sylacauga! If you're near, do yourself a favor and drop by for some great food!
