Once you step through the doors, you're greeted with a warm, welcoming atmosphere and a surprisingly stylish interior. The food? Absolutely incredible. Between the two visits, we tried the Cuban sandwich, potato soup (hands down the best we've ever had), adult grilled cheese, smoked pork nachos, and the vegetable medley--which was so good it was the reason we made a second trip! Everything was fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. The service was just as memorable as the food. Katie and Paisley were fantastic--super friendly and made us feel right at home from the moment we walked in. If you're looking for something fun to do in Anniston, this spot also hosts live music and trivia on Thursday nights, which adds even more reason to visit. We'll definitely be back!

It was on my "to do list" but just hasn't happened until now. But here's part of the story... The Peerless Saloon has been a staple in Anniston since 1899, but it's not just known for its cocktails... some say it's home to a lingering spirit. Meet Lucinda Talley, who once reigned over the upstairs brothel until tragedy struck in 1920. Legend has it, she's never really left... still watching from her post at the top of the stairs and causing a bit of mischief. Dare to visit the Peerless during the spooky season? You might just catch a glimpse of Lucinda! Don't forget to ask for a tour! You will have to go and eat-ask Kevin or Shirley what happened to Lucinda for her to become a ghost Atmosphere great--food was great-margaritas could have been a tad stronger--service excellent! We just had fun!!! Thanks Kevin & Shirley!!
