Visiting the area and tried Pizza 1 based on reviews. Ordered medium pizza (half plain, half pepperoni) and a sausage roll. Pizza was very good, crust was tasty, sauce to cheese and topping ratio was nice - would definitely order again if we lived in the area. Sausage roll was also very good! Nice dough, sausage tender, peppers, onions and cheese were all cooked perfectly, would also order this again. Came with a cup of dipping sauce but I was not a fan -- too watery and didn't stick to the roll enough to add flavor. Would have preferred a thicker consistency. Service was friendly and fast (we ordered at the counter to go). Would have eaten there, but had to get back home. Place was clean and atmosphere was nice. We prefer to eat pizza on site as it always tastes the best right out of the oven. That said, the food was very good when we got home too! read more

I was working Monday night so my family decided to give me a break and order from pizza 1. What a mistake!!! I had ordered spaghetti and meatballs, extra sauce and mozzarella cheese on top. I received plain spaghetti topped in the middle with some sauce, no meatballs!!! My husband was nice enough to go to Weis and pickup some sauce for me to put on, since it was barely enough!My son ordered a side of meatballs which he received. My other son a Venezia in which he received a chicken parm with marinara instead of chicken parm either vodka sauce on garlic bread. When I called about my order I called right away and did not know about the other order, I was told the sauce probably was absorbed into the spaghetti and that he did put my Meatballs in another container!!! Who sends out spaghetti with sauce just on the top???His excuse for the meatballs was maybe the door dasher left them in his car!! What a response!! I saw how the conversation was going and it was back and forth denying everything. I should've known because he would not give his name. No mention of making the order right was mentioned only a denials or excuses. We had a large order for 6 people and he never did the right thing.!We learned our lesson and WILL NEVER ORDER from them again and neither will my friends and family!!!! Stopped in for a quick slice for myself and 2 daughters. We were able to each get toppings that we wanted (mushrooms and fresh mozzarella, fresh mozzarella/basil/tomatoes, and mushrooms and pepperoni). There were plenty of toppings on each slice and the prices were very reasonable ($15 for 3 slices with those topping which were not skimpy on). Would stop in again if up in this area. read more

I ordered delivery from them. Usually, I pick up my food. They forgot part of the order and refused to send me the rest. Telling me to get a refund from the Slice app because they are too busy. Too busy. Way to busy to keep me as a weekly customer. There are many, many, many other places around here who know how to put sauce and cheese on dough. Most try to keep their reoccurring customers. Obviously, Pizza One is too busy to want my 80.00 future deliveries. They, also, didn't refund all that they owed me. Order at your own risk. Pizza One. The food was good but the service was horrible one day there is no pizza in a pizza shop which I don't understand. I tried coming back another day and they treated me as if I was a thief in there restaurant and didn't let me sit down and eat with my family unless everything was payed for. Wanted pizza while watching football during a trip to Stroudsburg. Pizza 1 was chosen due to the high Yelp reviews. The reviewers were right, this is good food. The sausage roll is so good it is worthy of making the trip to Stroudsburg alone. Soft, fluffy dough filled with melty, gooey cheese, tons of nicely spiced sausage, peppers and onions. Wow, this was good. Pizza is thin and chewy but not hard. Crispness from the oven is just right. The plaza is not in good shape but the store itself is clean and well maintained. So I roll in here about 10:15. I didn't check Yelp to see if they were open, but the door was open so I was confident. They actually close at 10, the staff was clearly finishing up. BUT, they were super friendly, asking what they could get me. They had one slice of plain left so I took that. They asked if I was sure, offered to make me a fresh pie, reassured me it was no big deal. Keep in mind, they're already closed. They're about done cleaning up. I decided to just take the one slice they had left. Honestly, I should have gotten the whole pie. Pizza was great, some of the best I've had in the area. And that's top notch service. Tried it for first time May 15th 2022. Took my son with me. Food was great! Reasonable prices and the people working there were very cheerful and friendly. Much better value and quality than other pizza/restaurants near to them. The chicken tenders were moist and home made to order...not frozen. My pizza was the best I have had in the area. They even have the great fries our kids love as well....those crispy ones. My son loved his tenders and fries so much he took an order home for dinner. Looking forward to trying their pastas and other dishes. You can bring your own bottle as well which is nice. Highly recommended. Great value. They will see a lot of us. read more

If you are looking for great New York style pizza while in the area, this is the place to go. We stopped in here on a whim one night and have kept going back. Great in every way, thin crispy crust, impeccable customer service. The owner will do anything to make it right by you and stands behind the product that he makes. Turns out he was the original owner of Momentos before it moved down the street and became the disaster it is now. Do yourself a favor if you are looking for good pizza at a reasonable price, then this is the place to go. We ate here monthly prior to it changing from Momentos to Pizza 1. Once it became Pizza 1 we are there weekly! I am a buffalo chicken pizza connoisseur and I cannot express how delicious theirs is!! 100% times better than it was at Momentos. Seriously, so so so good. The buffalo sauce wasn't dried up, it was juicy and cheesy and perfect. The staff was so friendly whether we delivered or stopped in to pick up. I was disguised to see that she used her bare hands to spread cheese on sandwich after having my charge in her hand. Extensive selection of family-cooked Northern Italian food. We chose a chicken parmigiana dinner w/pasta and a large Special pizza. Our server was very friendly and accommodating. So disappointed. We ordered from here on a multi-family trip ($165 worth of food) based on the 4.3 stars we saw. We got a message that the order was almost ready so we went to pick up. On the way another message that the order was ready. When we got there the garlic knots were not done so we waited 20 minutes for them while the rest of the dinner got cold. We ordered via Slice app and none of the comments were paid any attention to (like NO MUSHROOMS on the pizza...) We ordered 2 different kinds of wings (24 each) Neither one had any sauce on them whatsoever and came with no dressing/celery. The perogies where just fried - no sour cream, no butter - and hard as bricks. The pizza toppings looked like someone just threw them in the middle of each pizza with no effort to spread them around at all. In the end the only thing worth eating was the garlic knots. I hope this review prevents anyone else from thinking they're worth over 4 stars and choosing them over any of the other options. read more

We've been ordering from Pizza 1 since they opened, and let me tell you, they have never disappointed. Pizza is great, but so is everything else on the menu. Chicken fingers are real chicken cutlets, like my mom made. I've placed several catering orders with them, and they've always been a delight to deal with. En route to Long Island...my wife's home...for family business. The reward for all the travel?? New York Pizza. Enter the NOREASTER of 3/2/18. Stopped on I-80 behind miles of carnage by 12:30 PM. Booked a room from the car on the spot. Took another hour to make the 10 miles to our Hampton Inn here in Stroudsburg. Killed the whole afternoon but started getting hungry. Many places are shut down. Power outages abound. 8 PM. We want pizza. Pizza 1 answered the phone! And delivered one large pizza for $14! Conditions must be horrible. Listening to the wind from our hotel room you'd think there was a hurricane. I gave the guy $28. Perfect NY pizza. Thin. Crisp. GOOD cheese. PERFECTION. I'd eat it every day and twice on Sunday. I can't decide if I'm more impressed with the ridiculously inexpensive and PERFECT NY pizza, or the fact that they delivered in this storm. These guys would have my business for life! read more
