Service was impeccable, several servers stopped to make sure that we were always being taken care of. It was crowded at noon, but we had called ahead so that worked in our favor. Parking in the area is always an extra adventure, but I assure you this place is worth the circling of the blocks. It's very clean, brightly colored and has great local photography hanging on the walls. I had the cappuccino & the build your own frittata and they were absolutely perfect. My friends had the crab Benedict and requested her eggs cooked hard and they were very accommodating. Both our husbands picked the Monte Cristo, one with potatoes and the other with chips. They were both very pleased. We noticed several people order a carafe of OJ and they brought their own champagne for mimosas. Also, the menu mentioned virgin Bloody Mary mix if you wanted to bring in a bit of vodka.

Pancake wrap (made with gluten free pancake over 2 egg omlette with Mexican cheese and bacon)

Fantastic breakfast/brunch spot. Low key vibe and super friendly service. Went with Kom and was pleased to see that a lot of customers seemed to be regulars known by name. I have MS so finding gluten free options to keep down inflammation is challenging. So easy here! I had the pancake wrap made with a gluten free pancake. It was wrapped around a 2 egg omelet with bacon and Mexican cheese (at our servers suggestion! Thanks Ellen!) and it was outstanding. Prices are decent and the atmosphere and service were just so good.. I have already told all my girlfriends. It will be out next morning meet up spot. My husband and I are planning on going this week. It will definetly be a new favorite spot. *I also had one of their gluten free brownies and it was yummy?!

I've had breakfast here on a Sunday and it was absolutely spectacular. Lots and lots of options where you can build your own vs order some of the wonderful creations the staff of the cure thought up. The service is really good, so is the coffee. It was an excellent start to my day.

Cute little diner with great service! The prices were great, and I enjoyed my meal a lot! My only con would be that I thought the food could use a lil more salt, but that's a very easy fit and definitely better than it being too salty.

Staff were really nice. I ordered the eggs Florentine and they were pretty good just wish the hash browns were a little crisp or had more seasoning personally. But I'd definitely come back if I was around the neighborhood.

the food was good but had issues. the corned beef hash ,while plentyful, had dry small cubes in it. pancakes were nothing to write home about and I asked for more butter, waited and it never came. asked again as I use only butter no syrup and was brought 2 small pats. not the worst but definitely not 4.6

Two words: Breakfast Sandwich!…read more Cafe Duet is a great little spot tucked away by the Monroe County Courthouse. They have great coffee, pastries, small bites, and lunch options. The breakfast sandwich is phenomenal! As their menu states, it consists of "two organic eggs, split and grilled Spanish chorizo, sharp cheddar cheese and baby arugula on a fresh baked roll w/ a touch of sriracha mayo." The eggs are cooked perfectly! The contrast of the cheddar against the chorizo and sriracha mayo is wonderful and the peppery arugula comes through at the end. I would eat one every morning if my wallet/waist could afford it! The cafe is both large and small (you'll really only understand if you go) but I never have an issue finding somewhere to sit. In the warmer months, it's really nice to sit outside in their patio area. The staff is always accommodating and the place is well kept. Sometimes you wait a bit for things but it's never super long and they are pretty good at keeping you in the loop if there's an issue. Definitely a great spot worth checking out!

The coffee to milk ratio was good and the chocolate flabor was not too overpowering- it still tasted like a latte and not hot chocolate. It wasn't watered down, and was still rich and creamy. The americano was a good cup- straight to the point and robust. We also had the banana nut bread and the pistachio-cranberry-white mocha chip biscotti. Both pastries were pretty good. Some tables had ordered hot food like waffles and soups, which looked pretty good and we might try this place out for a snack or breakfast in the future. Interior is pretty with plants, a record player playing jazz, and clean tables and chairs. Service is friendly, interior is old world charm, coffee and pastries are great. Public parking, ccs, Apple Pay. Public metered parking. Would recommend!

Today…read morethough - Alana leveled a baseless accusation against me claiming I cursed at her on the street (for transparency, there was a mishap with Grubhub which had me waiting an extra 45 minutes and needing to pick up the order instead... I wasn't ecstatic and all smiles obviously but there was no confrontation and certainly no profanity. In fact, as Alana was walking away after giving me my bags, she was the one angrily grumbling some nonsense under her breath, raising her arms, and venting her annoyance as if I had no right to be frustrated with the situation, which is really why she made up the lie to begin with: entitlement). The owner Angel then gave me a "courtesy" call to tell me how she did not appreciate this, how horrible my mistreatment of Alana was, how "not right" it was, and how she especially did not appreciate all of the profanities. She claimed that my issue was with Grubhub and not them. (I found that "courtesy" call amusing, she had time for this call but not enough for a courtesy call to let me know my food was waiting for 45 minutes under a lamp). I immediately called back after I saw the accusation on my voicemail transcript, vehemently denied it and asked her to tell me exactly what profanity was used. I heard her ask Alana while I was on the phone. I also asked over speakerphone. Of course Alana had no response - she muttered something along the lines "oh so much has happened in the last hour I just can't remember". That's because it was all a lie designed to make herself a victim. It was just her entitlement at work - she was mad and thought of a way to get back at me by making up a lie. I'm sure this has worked in the past for her. It may work in the future. She should be fired for making up such an egregious lie really, but based on the "courtesy" call I feel Angel is likely supportive of these sorts of tactics. Alana felt she could easily accuse the big bad man of verbal abuse with profanity and everyone would just believe her - and they did for a while. While I understand Angel standing up for her staff, she did so with absolutely no evidence. How on Earth can you leave some long chastising voicemail on someone's phone accusing them of cursing at a woman on the street and you didn't check for video, and don't even know exactly what was said? Alana is actually a dangerous person - to make a false accusation like this against a grown man with a family is absolutely insane. Parents, keep your sons away from this person! This is a girl who needs to be seeing a therapist or something. Imagine how nuts you have to be to make up a story about a customer then watch your boss call them knowing you lied. I haven't been accused of anything since like 2nd grade. Bizarre situation. No apology from the owner when it was exposed as a lie. Very immature, absolutely vile behavior.

The inside has dark colors, but brightened a bit by the sunlight coming through the outer wall windows. I liked the wooden barrel lights over the bar, barrel wall sconces by the booths and the small bikes made out of pipes with Edison bulbs in them that hang over the front tables. The interior had exposed brick on the outer wall, brown painted patterned ceiling tiles and a gorgeous long antique wooden bar. We sat in one of the cushioned booths in the back. Their menu is small and simple with about ten apps and six handhelds. They have some uncommon menu items that peaked our interest like Goat Birria Tacos, Sloppy Joe's and Mahi Sliders. My wife and son ordered the Sloppy Joe's at $8 that came with seasoned beef and their "House Sloppy Sauce". They both enjoyed them and said the seasoning was good and sauce had a bit of a sweetness. My youngest son had a plain chicken wrap $13 bacon, ranch, LT and Cheddar Jack. It was sizeable and fresh. We ended up splitting it up later for an app before dinner so its shareable if you have a smaller stomach. Kyle recommended their Smash Burger - Smashed Crispy Beef Patty, Cheese, LTO $13. It was average and there was nothing bad to say about it. I enjoyed a Mosier's Mosaic IPA by ShawneeCraft with it. They have a small house cocktail list and their tap list is small, but they do have some craft offerings and cans/bottles. The kids watched sports on a couple of the several TV's around the bar and we had a nice relaxing lunch. I'd stop in again if in the area. Thanks Kyle!
