Nails I got done for prom im obsessed. Everyone was so sweet and friendly definitely my new go to spot
THIS PLACE IS AMAZING!!! I came with my 4 year old and the staff was absolutely wonderful and patient and magical we both walked out with the best mani-pedi. Coming back forever thank you.
This is a cute little shop tucked on the back side of the Starbucks. Literally park in the Starbucks parking lot and you'll see the adjacent door to the Starbucks. It's right off the 15 freeway and across from McDonalds. Parking lot doesn't offer much space.. but there's places to park. Came by to treat a girlfriend and her daughter for a bday mommy-daughter nail spa date. Yelp brought me to this location and I loved the little girl spa chairs they had for the little kids. My friend's daughter at 2nd grade was tall enough to sit with her mama and get her nails done. We were the first customers that AM on a Saturday. It remained relatively empty for the time we were there (only other family of 3 joined later), but definitely a lot of customers calling in. All in all I had a pleasant experience. They have a decent selection of colors but will "highly encourage" the gel and the packaged services (because of course it costs more-- i don't blame them for trying to encourage the business). They also have a menu of services that I would recommend reviewing in advance. When you're sitting in the chair and they throw a two page menu of options.. you just opt for the cheapest one because you have no clue unless you're a nail salon expert (which we are not). So we opted for whatever the citrus lemon combo that was simply your standard hot water spa with a couple of slices of fruit thrown into the water. We managed to settle on just color (not gel) mani pedi + kids mani pedi. The kiddo in our group wanted rainbow on her fingers and they were kind enough to accommodate once they understood what it was that she was seeking. Momma picked a color that looked bad on her hands and they were kind enough to let her chose another color. I had no complaints in general. When the dark color I picked had places where the color wasn't painted thick enough, they repainted/ accommodated without complaint or attitude. I went in with some researched simple designs (dark french tip) but that was another charge that i wasn't willing to fork over so i just got one solid color toes and hands. The polish did last much longer than i had expected so all in all no complaints. They didn't cut too short over all and they did do the callous treatment on the pedicure. The chick who did my pedicure did a fantastic job. The owner took over for my manicure and although it was a bit rushed in terms of paint job.. it was.. acceptable. Again, she was kind and friendly. Nothing fancy and not something to rave over the top about but it was a "not bad" experience overall. Didn't end with any infections, paint job lasted a good amount of time without too much chipping.. and I always round up for family owned businesses.. so I'd give them a solid four and might come back. Very kind folks overall. Note: they do take credit card but will try to encourage the payment in cash (and they do have an atm). Go check them out!
It was my first time getting dip and Julie was my nail tech. I told her I wanted a natural look and she helped me pick out a nice color. We had nice conversation and she explained dip vs gel to me. I liked that she read the room didn't carry on the convo too long so I could enjoy the chair during my pedicure. Location is good too- right off the 15, next to Starbucks, and plenty of parking. Prices are reasonable but the only downside is that no mani pedi combos. Still I will return bc of comfortable/enjoyable the service was and I really liked the end result.
TLDR: I really wanted to love this place. Manicure looked fine in the store but dried bubbly. Went back for them to fix it, and the manager was extremely rude. Ended up taking off the polish and redoing it myself the same day. Went in for a pedicure, but they convinced me to get my hands done too. Initially, the service itself was nice. The ladies were friendly and cared about the little things like making sure that the water was just the right temperature and that my back massager was always on. As soon as I left, I noticed that the polish was drying with bubbles, which has never happened to me before. I was nervous about going back, but I figured that even though they were sweet, the final product was not worth the price at all. I knew it wasn't their intention for the nails to look like that, but I did pay to have nice nails for a few weeks, and they were so friendly that I was sure that they'd handle it. I was so wrong. As soon as I went back, the manicurist looked apologetic and wanted to fix it, but the manager overrode her and insisted that she do it herself. Instead of repainting my nails, she just added a thick layer of top coat to the already overly thick paint job that didn't dry down at all in the time it took me to go all the way home, decide I wasn't satisfied, and come all the way back. She even said it was my fault for holding my hands too close to the fan. She rushed me out of the store before I could even see if my nails were fixed. The manager's "solution" made the problem even worse. This was very frustrating because they weren't even busy at the time. There was one other customer, and 5 employees so it's not like fixing my nails would've made any other customer have to wait or anything. I ended up taking off the nail polish myself (which was its own task given that it was painted on so thick), and repainting it the same day. I wanted to like this place. I really did. But customer service (or lack thereof) shows when I respectfully asked for something to be fixed that wasn't my fault. Huge waste of money, time, and stress.
Horrible full set service. My nails just look like big blobs. My pedicure was great, but my nails were not! I asked for coffin. This is not coffin. My thumbs are different sizes and shapes. the nails look bulky. I understand that coffin may be hard but communication would be nice. I could've done a different shape if she was not able to do coffin. (that's okay I've been told in the past it's hard. I'm okay to do a different shape.) the sides are so uneven. The acrylic is bulky and not smooth I explained that to her. Then she attempted to "fix" it still looked the same. I went here based on the reviews and pictures of the nails shown, they are beautiful!. I'm not sure what happen to mine. I wanted a simple color with chrome on top. I'm Not sure if it was the nail tech and lack of services out of her scope or what. Maybe I went on the wrong day. It was busy at all. It was just myself for bit and then someone came in for a pedicure. I wanted my nails done for my birthday. I'm just not happy at all with my nails.
Found this place right after the 2nd covid business nail salon reopen for inside business. OMGOSH!!!! Teri is the best.. I had jewels I did not want taken off and she was able to do my ombré nail fill just perfectly. She was also able to fix my shape from square to coffin and still keep my length long. I called in hour before closing and they took me in no questions asked and then still offered to do a pedicure (much needed) The customer service from both ladies was just amazing (I'm getting my foot massage now as we speak) the lavender pedicure special on the booth is beyond words. Perfect for this first time moms outing on her own. Best hour alone!!
Nina did a good job on my Gel French manicure! She was so gentle with my removal of previous gel and she is also very kind. I like getting nail techs who care about their work. Thank you and when I'm back on town I'll be sure to see you again.
Let me just be fair. I've been to this place for years and they've done great jobs for my nails. But today they cut off a big chunk of my left thumb! It was bleeding badly and still hurts after hours. I'm sure it was an unintentional fault and I still tipped the technician, however I think I'm too scared to go back. That's so sad
Ken does a fabulous job with my nails! I got a much needed fill with gel polish. I've been getting my nails done with Ken for a while now and have never had a broken nail. Not only that but his nail art is incredible! This time I went for a subtle Christmas theme. I've also had amazing pedicures here! No nail polish smell and clean tools! I highly recommend. All the staff kind and consistent.

Paid $115+15% tips ($17) for gel pedicure (including 15 mins foot massage) and medicure. Thao is a very friendly staff, she did my feet and Terry did my hands. While I feel like I got a good deal but all of my friends said I might paid a little bit overpriced for the simple designs gel medi. Anyway, I didn't ask the itemized receipts so I can't really tell you YELPS folks if this is a deal or not? Overall, I like my nails but because of I haven't done nails for a long time so I don't know if this place is worth spending or not? You'll be the judge. (See photo) read more

Terri has been doing my best friends nails for years and they are always amazing! I called to request an appointment with Terri about an hour before I needed to go in. I was 5 mins late but that wasn't a problem. I told Terri I was in a rush and needed to be done by 12:35 (I got there at 11:50). She said that was possible. My nails turned out amazing! But the best part was I was done at 12:21!!! I got an acrylic fill with gel polish and it was $35. If you're using credit card make sure you tell her to add the tip before running the card. I highly recommend this shop and especially Terri! read more

I've been to this location 3 times now since they opened. I love Lynn she is my absolute favorite! I've been searching for a place that is conveniently located to my house and has a great nail tech. If you want a design Lynn is the person to go to! I love designs ( but hate flowers) and Lynn has done an excellent job free styling the designs each time. Since this tends to be some of my "mommy time away" I love that they also serve champagne! Really helps to relax. I'll def be back! read more

I have come to this salon a few times now for acrylic gel fills which is $35 and a new full set is $45. I live nearby, so it is a convenient location for me. The salon has a oasis feel, as if you literally "escaped" to the beach. It is super clean and they always have good songs playing. This is a full service salon and they also serve mimosas! I would recommend calling in for an appointment so that you are not waiting. I had all the nail techs work on my nails and they all did an amazing job. They are super nice and listen to your requests and deliver quality work. I always get compliments on my nails. read more

Great service and beautiful organic dipped full set. This was my first time and loved it. Will be coming back. Teri was amazing! She took her time and used great quality materials like organic dipped powder and OPI. read more
This spot is kinda sketch. Don't let the beautiful ambience fool you, the nail techs are poorly skilled and they do not sanitize their equipment between customers. After doing my pedicure, the tech put the instruments back in a box and put the box back in her cubby. Most places will place them in a cleaning solution after using them. I requested a French pedicure with a thinner line and had to ask her twice too thin it out like the large picture posted on the wall. She took twice as long as the nail tech next to me. In fact I arrived at the nail salon before the client next to me and left after her although we had same services. Another poorly skilled tech did my manicure, I had to ask him several times to go back and fix things on certain nails. I think he was trying to rush. Like I expected, my manicure chipped before the morning. read more

Love this nail place. Ever since I moved into the area I only come here for nails. Terri does the best acrylics - always taking time to make sure they are even and smooth. I wouldn't trust getting long nails that are coffin shape or stiletto shape anywhere else. The best! read more

Not sure why this place has high star reviews. That's why I originally came in, I paid $45! for a full gel acrylic set. The next day one nail fell off, came and fixed it. Then 2 days later 2 more nails broke off in half!! I only had my new set for 3 days and they looked like I needed a fill. Will never come again. read more

Went and got a mani/pedi yesterday! I had acrylics removed and got a new set with gel. I asked for a pink ombré and Teri gave me exactly what I had hoped for. The atmosphere was the nicest I've ever experienced at a nail salon. I've been to many different nail salons and they're typically pretty crowded with not a lot of space, but I felt like I could actually breathe in this salon. The decor is also super cute and relaxing! The nail technicians were very welcoming and pleasant. I already would've decided to become a regular after the great service and quality mani/pedi, but the complimentary mimosa definitely sealed the deal. read more

I went in to get nails done for my wedding, I decided to try SLS nails for the first time. I explained I wanted acrylics because I felt my nails weren't long enough but " Terry" stated I should keep my own nails. My nails were some what long so I went along with it. I showed her a picture of how I wanted my nails done and she said she could do that. She then said white sparkles would look nice instead of the gold sparkles I requested, I agreed since I have silver ring. She then started doing nails and then I noticed that they were white with sparkles, I didn't say anything cuz I thought she knew I didn't want white nails and that she would putting another color on top and i honestly had no idea how SLS nails worked. When she said was done, I explained how that is not what I wanted. She then told me I should've told her sooner, but I have never had SLS nails done so I don't know the process. Instead of removing it and fixing her mistakes, she just added on top it. Now my nails are super thick and short! Oh, and she cut my finger filing my nail! Now one day before I have to leave for my wedding, I have to go somewhere else and get this mess fixed!! Super frustrating as bride and a first time customer!!!! read more

Ok girls, I been planning to write this review for months but wanted to collect enough images of Terry's work first. I am extremely picky when it comes to my nails, and have tried tons of places, some places are eh ok, nothing thrilling, or the customer service is not comfortable, or they just flat out suck at nail shaping, or they start to lift after 2 weeks. This is the only salon that covers everything perfectly! First, Terry is super sweet. She will do whatever you want with no fuss. She is easy to talk to without being gossipy. Actually, everyone in the salon is very sweet! The salon itself is very comfortable, small, and relaxing atmosphere, and always clean. As far as Terry's work, it's perfect! I first went to this salon in April 2017 and my mom and I have been going religiously every 3 weeks. Her nails NEVER lift or chip!!! I have even pushed it to 4 weeks with no issues. She is the best at nail shaping and can do it all! Prices are affordable and about average, but honestly I would probably pay whatever she wanted willingly. I'll never go anywhere else. Give them a try, you won't regret it. read more

I walked in and was immediately greeted with a gentle welcome. My Spa pedicure and gel manicure were executed with skilled detail, wonderful herbal treatments and an ambiance rarely experienced. May and Cindy offered me a Mimosa, Fresh squeezed Lemonade and truly pampered me with fluid massage strokes and a sense of calm that I have only recieved from a 5 star resort. My nails are perfect, cuticles perfect and my time here felt more like a mini retreat! I have found my new favorite nail place! read more

Super friendly service!! Came here on a busy Saturday and they let us walk in. My manicurist was named Terry. She was super awesome! She did an amazing job and she was really caring. I highly recommend her. They also give complimentary mimosas Came back here and Terry did an amazing job once again!! I tend to like being basic for my nails but Terry has great ideas and insisted that I do something new. I loved how it came out!! Definitely trust terry's awesome ideas! read more

I stopped getting my nails done and recently came back to get them fixed. I had Thao as my nail tech and I was in love! Unfortunately I forgot to take a picture of my nails right after I got them but they were exactly what i was expecting. I made an appointment 2 weeks afterwards and wasn't disappointed. I love especially how she is so meticulous and careful with my nails and always knows what I'm trying to do with them. She is super nice and accommodating, after my first appointment, she gave me her Instagram and told me to send her designs I'd like to get done so she would happy then supplies when I'd finally come in. She goes above and beyond make sure my nails are exactly what I want! I will for sure make an appointment in another two weeks. She is the best! read more

My bridesmaids and I got our nails done here 2 days before my wedding. It was a great experience! The staff did a great job making us feel welcome and relaxed as well as giving us gorgeous nails! I asked for a spa pedicure, which was very relaxing, and an ombre style French manicure with gems on my ring fingers. She used powder instead of gel so it would look more natural. Now it's a week and a half later and even after my Jamaican honeymoon there's not a single chip! read more

Always happy with my nails when I come here. I love the complimentary drink and all the ladies do a great job and are very pleasant. Definitely one of my favorite nail spots because of the quality of work, the cleanliness, decor and drinks. The ATM fee is only 50 cents here as well. Cheapest ATM fee I've seen in a while. I highly recommend this place but I selfishly don't want it to get super busy. read more

Escape nails & bar has been my go to nail place for awhile now. I've been going to Terri for about a year now and have loved every set I've gotten. I recommend her to my family and even some of my friends and coworkers. I will continue to come here until the day I leave San Diego.
