OMG I had a "basic" pedicure at this place and not only did I have a great pedicure, the foot massage I got from "D" was UNBELIEVABLE. I would have been happy with that foot massage alone. Normally when I have pedicures they just kind of rub your feet and legs, he spent at least 10 min on an actual amazing, deep tissue massage (both legs and feet). My partner and I decided to try this salon based on the decent reviews we saw online, but unfortunately our experience was extremely disappointing from start to finish. When we arrived, the salon was completely empty, which in hindsight should have been a warning sign. During my pedicure, the older male nail technician with shoulder-length hair was rude, dismissive, and at one point actually raised his voice at me. To make matters worse, he and another female technician spent part of my appointment openly arguing with each other about how much to charge me for repairing a cracked nail. *NOTE* One specific detail I do want to point out that I feel is extremely important for health and safety is that halfway through my pedicure process the female technician working on me swapped with the male technician (assuming he is the one that does nail designs) and he did NOT change his gloves AND used the same tools as he was using on my partner on me. What started as a basic $32 pedicure somehow turned into a discussion about charging me $57 for a single acrylic repair on one toe. The situation became so uncomfortable and unprofessional that I chose not to complete the service. I left without polish or a finished pedicure and only had my previous pedicure removed. When I calmly expressed that I was unhappy with the experience, the male technician raised his voice again and began directing all communication to my partner instead of speaking to me directly, which I found incredibly disrespectful. As a final concern, their POS system was reportedly down, and they asked us to text them our full credit card number so they could process the payment later. That is not a payment method I am comfortable with and seemed highly inappropriate. Overall, the customer service was poor, the communication was unprofessional, and the entire experience left a very negative impression. Sometimes I would wait there for 30 minutes to get my scheduled appointment done. Helen did my mani-pedi on my first visit. She's very warm & friendly. I went back for just a manicure recently, I was very pleased with the results! I have arthritic fingers & I like my nails short therefore I don't have the prettiest hands. I moved to Poway from the Seattle area 3 years ago. They always do a great job here. I do basic white tips (full set for $30, $17 for fill) and then pedicure in awesome cozy chair for $20. Helen is great for pedicures and Linda (the manager) is one of the sweetest ppl ever. This place has really reasonable prices and great color selection. My first time here after a two year hiatus from getting any kind of nail care due to my last experience at another location. I would come here again. I'm getting just their regular pedicure and just got a great foot/leg massage all for $22 and since I asked for French they add $5. I'm here on a Sunday afternoon at 4pm and it's peaceful. Helen does an amazing job with the gel polish she's even able to save cracked nails so they don't brake off!! I never leave unhappy when I come here.
