Called to have an estimate done to replace my driveway. Had a call on a Saturday from Gus saying he's outside with no prior warning. I was home and met with him outside to discuss what I wanted to get done. I'm a project engineer on heavy civil projects that has built roads and bridges my whole adult life but I don't have access to equipment small enough to fit between houses to excavate the existing driveway. Somehow Gus was both incredibly condescending (like other reviews) and appeared to lack the skill required to do the job. I assume if you're listed as a paving company you would know what "Subbase" is. I also asked the width of the paver because its narrow between the houses, the response I got is it was just a LeeBoy with no width instead he said they would just place it by hand... At that point, I'd might as well rent a pump truck and use concrete. The whole interaction was one condescending remark after another. read more

Called and physically stopped by several times for an estimate for paving my driveway. No one ever came to the property or called to provide an estimate. Guess they don't need or want the job. Recommend you don't waste your time and move on to find someone eager to perform the service. read more

I had Gus stop out a few times over the last few years to estimate a project of replacing my driveway and sidewalk. Gus understood my concerns and very happy with the results. It took a little longer then usual but it was worth the wait. read more

Pittsford Paving replaced the driveways at my last two houses. Gus is passionate about driveways and his experience is evident. He contacted me several times throughout the project to provide updates. Pittsford Paving also repaired my landscape wall and replaced the walkway on the recent project. My wife and I are extremely pleased with the results. read more

I requested a bid and "Gus" met me at my home to discuss repaving my driveway. By the time I asked him to leave (perhaps 5 minutes), I felt insulted and intimidated. I routinely do business with many people, companies, contractors; rarely do I meet someone like Gus. I will not do business with Pittsford Paving. read more

Later in May 2020, the owner of Pittsford Paving (Gustavo Kusminsky) called by phone instead of contacting me via email as I requested. He came to my house instead of keeping the scheduled appointment because it was convenient for him. Gustavo Kusminsky, who tried to talk me into changing my project, verified my email and gave me the impression that I would have the estimate within one to two days. When I did not receive any estimate by the 1st week in June I emailed Pittsford Paving (Gustavo Kusminsky) with negative response so I called the company. I was told they had the estimate in hand and would send it out by the end of the day. When I still didn't receive the estimate days later I called Pittsford Paving again and the girl said I would receive the estimate within one half hour. When that didn't happen I called again. The girl didn't know what to tell me so she passed the phone on to someone who identified herself as Gerri. She said that Gus is the owner and is out giving estimates... he is busy... other people are calling... there are only so many hours in the day... and he is the only person giving estimates. WOW! Very rude. It's now the middle of June and Pittsford Paving (Gustavo Kusminsky) has not reached out to me or sent the estimate. Pittsford Paving (Gustavo Kusminsky) has terrible customer service. You'll be wasting your valuable time waiting for an estimate that you'll never receive. At least 1 star is required. read more

There are many bad reviews for this company yet I saw their work signs all over the neighborhood. I used them for a driveway resurface and was satisfied. They answered all my questions, were courteous and were flexible with schedule since I used another contractor for adjacent concrete work. Estimate was within $150 of cheapest company (3). If those bad reviews were true, it appears they took the feedback onboard. I'm pleased and would use them again read more

I used Pittsford Paving after a recommendation from my sister. They were friendly and worked with me on a budget to completely tear out my driveway (which is very long and curved) and went above and beyond what they promised. You may think the cost is high, but you cannot put a price on a great job that will last for a very long time. read more

I would give this company no stars if I could. I called to ask for a quote for some work on my driveway. Over a week later, Gus came out to look at it. While trying to explain what I wanted, he was condescending and rude. He questioned everything I said like I was an idiot and finally said, "I literally have no idea what you are talking about." What?? I was just trying to explain some work I would assume he talks about and hears about all day long. Sorry if I'm not using the right words, but I'd think he could figure it out. After a few attempts, and being berated by him, I told him I didn't know how else to explain it. Without any prompting or words, he just turned around and walked to his car. I called after him and asked if he was really leaving. He said, "I've been working 12 hours. I have better things to do with my time!" I was so shocked and told him that this behavior wouldn't land him a good review, to which he screamed back at me, "I'll give YOU a bad review! How about that!" WOW. So, I called this morning to complain, and come to find out, Gus is one of the owners!! The person answering the phone was completely sympathetic to my experience and very obviously this was not the first time she had received this call. I am kind of the guy who do lots of research before buying anything. So I requested several quote for re paving the driveway, which is about normal size. Pittsford paving is by far the highest, which is almost doubled the price of the lowest quote. You may argue that their service may be different. I specifically ask them how they do it, and all of the company say the same thing, tear the old drive way down, put in some gravel and sands and repave the top part (same thickness). I heard good things about Pittsford paving, and they may do the job fine, buut seems like their price is too high. read more
