We have used Pitti for years and they never disappoint. We always make an appointment and are never rushed. Everything is always professionally handled and quality of the work is excellent! Here to defend Agostino from the several bad reviews I've seen. I've had 50+ garments altered by him from complicated suits and overcoats to pant hems and button placement. He's a true craftsman, genuine person, and FAIR. He's expensive but you get what you pay for. If you want real tailoring performed by a meticulous professional, go to Agostino. If you want something done for budget, use your dry cleaner. I've never had a pricing issue with him because I know what to expect. read more

Agostino, of @pittitailor quoted a price of $175/$200 to take-in the waist and hem of my daughter's beaded prom dress. I was SHOCKED at this estimate, but what the hell do I know of the deep, dark sorceries, and fashion secrets of the tailoring industry? You can imagine our SURPRISE when he decided to charge us $550 instead. Then proceeded to hold the dress hostage until we paid him. In cash. Furthermore, Agostino, CLAIMS, "He has nothing to hide. " Yet we discovered too late, online reviews complaining of this same grift. I guess it's my fault for not checking? In the end, with righteous indignation, he said, "Pay me what you want." We met him halfway, and gave him $275 in cash. About the same price my daughter paid for her dress. Extremely unprofessional and awful. Do not use this person! My daughter's event dress was altered to the wrong length. The dress is unable to be adjusted and cost $550 to alter! Despite showing him the pictures of him pinning it to the agreed length then compared to the after pictures he refused to acknowledge fault. The dress can't be fixed at this point but hope you do not make the same mistake. he could have at least taken ownership and offered some way to make it right. The owner also raised his voice, argued and could not even hear my concerns. I hope no one else has to go through this. If it's a special outfit def take it someplace else. read more

Agostino is an amazing tailor. After a weight lost regiment that resulted in most of my clothes being way too baggy and large, the tailor at a local Brooks Brothers store recommended Agostino when I inquired about tailors he'd use for non Brooks clothing items. Yeah, this guy was recommended by other professional tailors. Agostino was friendly and accommodating, and generally cares a great deal about the work he does. He's modified dozens of shirt sand pants, suits, jackets, sport coats as well as winter coats..etc. He is my go to person for all my tailoring needs. Highly recommended. read more

I have to agree with the other negative one reveiw on here because I've been here a few times and each time that's happened to me also where he gave a ball park price and I show up and it's much more. I always would just suck it up and pay but after my last interaction with him I'm never going back and I told everyone I referred to him also to never return. He fixed 2 small flaws for me on a dress and told me a ball park estimate and when I picked up my dress it was $50 more because of his "time". Now he just lost several customers for trying to put some more money in his pocket. Never, ever returning. If you decide to go make sure he puts a price on the ticket because he never does read more

The strap from my wife's canvas bag came off, She needed to have it reattached at one end. She brought it to Pitti Tailor and was told by the owner that the job would cost $20. She felt this was quite a bit for what seems like a very simple repair but she accepted the price. When She went back to pick it up the owner told her that the cost was $30! When she told him that he had previously said $20, he said she must have misunderstood him. When she asked him why it costs $30 simply to sow a strap back on a canvas bag he replied that he had used "special thread". The point is that he LIED and ripped us off. When somebody robs you and takes advantage of you that way people in the area should know. Consider this a warning message. read more

This man comes off as the nicest person you'll ever meet but that is far from the truth. He is a scammer and a liar. He told me my dress was supposed to be around $200 for an inch off the bottom and to take in the waist an inch. When I went to pick it up he tried to charge me $600 and now he won't give it back. The dress wasn't even close to $600 and I was completely ripped off. I would NEVER recommend this sad excuse of a business to anyone!!! I would give it NO STARS if i could. read more

A good tailor is something you can not live without. I am a man of average weight and Agostino has helped me alter my clothes whether gaining or loosing a few pounds. He has done it all for me suits, shirts, etc. I have researched other tailors from New York City to Buffalo and he has very fair prices for the quality of work. He even has a few cool pics up on his shop of the celebs he has done work for. His craftsmanship is from an Italian fashion world and it show it all of my clothing and compliments I receive! Augusto tried to charge me 1000.00 to have my wedding dress altered. At the time I thought the price was a on the high side, but because it was lace I thought mabey it was true. Untill I consulted the dress maker they told me that was outrageous. I want back and told him I did not want the work done. He still wanted 140.00 for his time, but also take out all the pins he had placed for the alterations. He ended up taking out all the pins against my wishes and I still had to pay him 100.00. He was nastey and bitter in the end. A TOTAL RIP OFF AND A HEAD ACHE!!! read more
