    Pulled pork sandwich and fries

Super good pulled pork sandwiches in Dublin city center! Everything was decently priced and delicious. The restaurant is small but we got seated quickly. I recommend stopping in!

Awesome selection of smoked meats and sides. I went with a pulled pork sandwich and a side salad, and the mans had a brisket sandwich with a side of bone marrow mashed potatoes. Both of our sandwiches were juicy, smoked to perfection and overflowing with a generous amount of meat. A sandwich with a side was the perfect size for one, but If you are going to go with a platter combo then I suggest sharing amongst two. From the looks of it, the portion of meat is huge, and you get to choose two different sides. There isn't much else like this in Dublin, so if you are in the area and have got a craving for BBQ then Pitt Bros is the way to go. A sandwich with a side is 10 euro which isn't terrible, and they even have a free soft serve machine in the back for dessert! Zero complaints here!

A friend and I accidentally stumbled on this place and we were happy we did. Service: quick and attentive. You have to order at the front and they bring your food to your table. Food: I ordered the original ribs as recommended by the cashier. The ribs were tasty and could easily feed 2 people. The selection of sauces were also good too. They also provided free soft serve ice cream which is nice if you have a sweet tooth. Layout/atmosphere: Had a very trendy vibe and family style seating. Played r&b music and had Frank Ocean songs playing when we went. Recommendations: go here for a affordable BBQ lunch/dinner. Order the ribs!

We tried some of the food during the soft launch opening. We had the pulled pork and half chicken along with onion rings, fries, slaw and salad sides. The BBQ sauce was very nice, and the meat well cooked. The fries and onion rings were nicely cooked, the fries maybe a touch overly salty. They've put their own touches to the others with celery in the slaw and fennel I think in the salad which I liked. With a few more tweaks after the soft launch this will be a very nice, reasonably priced BBQ restaurant, something Dublin's been missing up until now. I'll go back again when fully opened and try some more of their options (if I can get in, I expect they will be very busy in the coming months).

Pulled pork, Mac and cheese, burned beans

It's taken me some time to get here - I'm just so into a competitor's food that I've found it hard to chance going somewhere else for my BBQ! Chance it I did today, and, I mean, it was good. So what was good about it? - The portions are HUGE. I had to leave half of it behind. If you're hungry, go! - The BBQ sauce has a really smokey delish flavour - The burned beans were amazing. Loaded with pork, flavour, and again, a massive serving - Funky decor - Of course, the free pour-it-yourself ice cream is a winner. Sure why wouldn't it be! I think you've guessed the punchline here though... it wasn't all good. - The star of the show, the pulled pork, was really really dry. The nature of it's cooking should mean that it's juicy and full of flavour. I had to drown it in sauce to make it more palatable. Very disappointing. - The mac and cheese was terrible. Where was the crispy cheese layer on top? Or where was the flavour? It tasted like something that comes out of a packet. So. Very. Bland. So, there was a lot good. But two of the main draw cards were really not good at all. Unfortunately ladies and gentlemen, this means, that I am out. Back to the competitors I go.

The free ice cream was the only thing I enjoyed :( I've heard good things and was referred by a few people, plus I was in desperate need of onion rings so we decided to finally give this place a try. It smells absolutely delicious but sadly that wasn't any reflection of the actual flavor I'd get in my meal. Service was fine, but there was very little because you order at the counter. So I got the burger and onion rings. I will start with the onion rings because they kind of offended me deep down to my American core. You only get 4, and while they're big, it's a little ridiculous if you consider the cost of ordering them as an extra side. There is zero seasoning. Zero. What little breading coats the very under cooked onions is completely flavorless... blasphemy. The burger was also sad, I was shocked at how over cooked, dry and grey the meat was, also no seasoning or flavor. The only flavor was from the slice of bacon. I ate half of my burger because I was hungry, I had two of my generous 4 piece portion of onion rings because I was hungry. I regret those calories. My dinner date had the ribs and really enjoyed them, so maybe some items on the menu are fine or even great, but it's definitely not the burger.... or the rings. The ice cream is nice! You get to serve yourself so you're welcome to compensate for the disappointing meal by loading up on soft serve, I know I did.

Brisket, mac & cheese, slaw and yum
    Liat F.

Brisket. Yum. Better than going out for brunch! That's what drew me in to the restaurant. Brisket. Funnily enough I was hungry on Sunday afternoon but wasn't in the mood for the traditional pancakes or fry, so I told my friend I wanted to try this place that I had seen many times when in the centre. We walked in and got seated immediately. I watched as people were devouring their pulled pork and fries. I actually thought it was the brisket, as it looked the same (almost) when I've had it during Sabbath dinner at home. Alas, it wasn't. But it was still delicious. So for €13, I was given a plate with two thick pieces of brisket, a side of mac and cheese and the house slaw. My not-so-hungry friend shared the dish with me and we also ordered the onion rings. Wow! It was good. The brisket was a bit dry, hence the four and a half stars, and I had to keep adding sauce ( I tried the bbq and then the 'hot' sauce, which wasn't really that hot). The mac and cheese was nice and creamy and I loved the slaw, though my friend wasn't crazy about it. Not sure why not. Maybe she likes it creamy, while I like it vinegar-y. The onion rings were yummy as well. So yeah, great experience. The ambiance and the whole process of ordering at the cash and then getting a number, and finally having the food brought to you. Then the ice cream that you pull at the end all reminded me of another restaurant that serves Thai food (am I allowed to name names?) on Camden Street...but I asked the very friendly waitress and she said there's no connection...I wonder if they get asked that all the time. I'd definitely go back. The chicken looked great and I'm curious about the sausage. Nothing like this food, especially if you want something tasty and good value for money.

This is probably my second favorite bbq place in Dublin. The food is good, the environment and service are excellent. And by how busy they are others must like the place as well. The main reason they are 4 instead of 4 stars is they offer an Arnold Palmer as a drink option. And they clearly don't know how to make a proper Arnold Palmer here.

    Sarah S.

Visited here with my fiancé and his brother. We had to queue for about 30 mins and eventually got a seat for the three of us on a communal bench type seat. I found this place to be average. The seats are quite close together so you kinda feel like your conversations aren't private (they're really not!) The food is average. You go to the bar and order your food and drinks. I chose sausage with onion rings and Mac n cheese. The sausage was good, the bbq sauce is ok but the sides were a let down. I don't think Mac n Cheese should be quite that watery. I know this place has a lot of loyal fans but I'd much rather visit Bison Bar or My Meat Wagon to get my bbq fix.

    Jim L.

I went here with 3 of my friends for lunch and it was very nice! I had the brisket bun meal. It had a nice smoked flavor to it. The bbq sauces on the table were good too. There is a really hot and spicy sauce that nearly burnt my face off. I liked the traditional bbq sauce the best. I'm from Kansas City so I know barbecue and this place is legit. The soft serve ice cream was good too. I would recommend trying this place.

Stopped in for lunch with meat on my mind and beer in my heart.... Nope, not the lyrics to a catchy yet cheesy 80s number, these were the care free thoughts of a short, fat balding man as he wandered into the Pitt Bros, ready to be blown away, ready to fulfil a little bbq fetish I've been harbouring for a while. I had heard good things about the pulled pork, so that's what I went for. The result was thoroughly satisfying but not blow-away, my companions burger was likewise good; "not amazing, but very good". My pulled pork sandwich loaded with all the sauces I had to hand was moist, tasty, bit of a chilli kick and left me pleasantly full. like Neon restaurant down the road, you can pull your own ice-cream cone after the meal, it is a lovely touch.

    Icaro S.

You really can't beat good barbecue especially when its slow cooked to perfection like in Pitt Bros. The restaurant is really cool and i love their sense of humour with the window signs "i wish this was made of tofu - said nobody ever" The food is fantastic and they have some really good lunch deals. They have a good selection of craft beers and even a gluten free one. And to finish is off FREE icecream !!! And you get to pull the icecream yourself - very cool !

Pulled Pork sandwich with fries, Brisket sandwich with mac and cheese.
    Amy O.

I would highly recommend both the Brisket and Pulled Pork sandwiches. Go with someone who won't mind sharing, because you're going to want one of everything on the no nonsense menu. The decor is rustic and cool, and the staff are friendly and chilled. You also get a surprise treat of a free self-serve ice cream cone with each meal, so that was a fun surprise!

We honestly just stumbled upon Harry's as we were starving but hadn't committed to anywhere as we were walking and just ensuring first we could find a restaurant close to where we'd be watching a show later that evening. Harry's wasn't busy on a Friday at 5pm so we thought why not? The interior is dark and cozy. They have an impressively large bar and plenty of seating outside or downstairs in the main dining & bar area. Service was fine. Our waiter seemed to be new but he took our order promptly and got us everything we needed quickly which was appreciated as we were on a time crunch. I wouldn't say the service was particularly special but efficient definitely. Harry's has some classic Irish meals but also just a large American multi-cultural comfort food menu. Embarrassed to say instead of some lovely stews or fish n chips, we eagerly ordered nachos and pasta lol. Sometimes you just need a taste of home even when on vacation. The nachos were average but hit the spot for that craving. I had the pasta Toscana which had a surprisingly good and creamy sauce which some chicken and bacon. I was surprised that it was a solid 3.5/5 knowing this isn't a classic or normal dish to order. Everything hit the spot and was filling. Great cocktail menu too. Really I feel like coming here for drinks and appetizers is the way to go. My cocktail was the Harry Spritz and it was fantastic. It's a little more laid back than the other pubs in the area, yet, a tad higher scale - *almost* on the swanky side of things. It's actually more of a specialty cocktail bar and restaurant. Plenty of comfy leather booths and chairs to lounge around in, so it was a lot more comfortable and less crowded than the surrounding pubs. It started getting busy and the music got loud around 11:30pm, but it was still fun, and the bartenders did a good job taking care of business and slinging those drinks, even though they were busy. My only gripe - they have a bathroom attendant - I hate that with a passion folks... I'm perfectly capable of turning the faucet on, getting my own soap and getting my own paper towels. I don't need this sort of interaction in the bathroom. I'm a grown up. Other than that, Harry's is a great place. I only wish we had time to have a meal there while we were in Dublin. I'm happy we didn't because we really enjoyed the atmosphere. I know an American going to a new American restaurant in Ireland is a little bit weird maybe not, but the music they were playing was pretty good. It was very old-school Americano kind of style. Nothing like it is today. So if you want to get the nostalgia of a little bit of America of what it used to be definitely come on in and check it out. We were greeted by the bartender look like he was the only one taking care of everybody. Came up and told us the special and the special that we chose was the fish and chips. This place is really great because not only do you get the fish and chips at a great deal you get a pint of beer included! I believe it came out to be about €20 but that has been the best deal that I could get the whole time I was in Ireland! My partner ordered a tonic and asked for some lime and was provided was a big bottle of lime juice. Check out the photo. The fish came out with two pieces. They were perfectly flaky, and the french fries were actually pretty crispy, unlike some places we visited in Ireland the french fries were really floppy and were baked rather than deep-fried. There are different specials on the lunch menu and I believe that the lunch menu goes until 5 PM.
