Part of their sales pitch is that they come out for emergency calls for their customers and how there's always someone available but if they can't even call me back to get a project started then why would I believe they'd actually show up when I needed a repair? Their quote was literally double the other quotes I had gotten and the markup on some items was ridiculous. The furnace model was listed on the quote so I looked it up and they were charging me nearly 5x what it cost. And it isn't like they were rolling in labor or other parts because everything was itemized. In the end, I went with a different company who did great work for half the price Halco wanted.

My goal was to have an initial conversation to see which properties might qualify before moving further. The representative said she could help, but the call focused on collecting detailed information to pass to a specialist rather than answering general questions. I was asked for my billing address and the exact addresses of all properties. When I asked why this was needed at such an early stage, she explained they use addresses to look up assessment values, square footage, and photos or details from sites like Zillow before an audit. I explained that online data often does not reflect conditions relevant to insulation needs, basement/attic size, etc and that I was happy to provide full details once we determined it made sense to proceed. I was told I likely would not receive a call back without providing addresses. After giving one address for a property we were open to getting a quote on, I was told a callback would take about four days. Five minutes later, I received another call saying they would not be able to help, without any explanation given. Overall, it appeared the priority was evaluating properties to decide business viability, instead of first discussing services or eligibility.

The tech that arrived had no idea of how to service the Noritz. He reviewed my Manuel but left it leaking. Worse, is that he soaked my faucet head in vinegar and dribbled it all over the marble entry way. It has ruined the marble and it is not repairable. After removing the shower head and faucet, the plumber could not install a comparable style unit, so took off for a few days. When he returned, I bought a temporary unit so I could shower. Then threw this outfit off my property. Noritz denies that D'Amico is an authorized vendor and installer. They recommended an alternate which corrected all of my problems. I was left with having paid nearly $400 to D'Amico, out the cost of the temp hardware, and they were not willing to repair or replace my damaged entryway. Final insult is a snotty attitude. You can definitely find a better place to get plumbing services and products.
