Doing some shopping in the area I stopped in for a bite. Salad options were expensive, so I just got a F sandwich. Impressive packaging and an interesting spread of things you can add. The Falafel seemed under cooked since it was too moist inside. Not bad, but not what I'm used to. What got me was the Chef sneezed openly in the prep area, after I got my sandwich. So I was questioning the hygiene there. Background music was no where near background level. The lady there was blaring some obnoxious hip hop right in your ear, as I was waiting for my sandwich. I had to leave when I got it since it was so annoying. I also didn't want to catch anything, if the Chef was sick. I ended up throwing out half my sandwich with the thought. A few minutes later, I felt like I got the Flu for about an hour, but I don't know if that was from this experience. Overall, I don't think I will visit this place again. The staff seem like they don't want to be there. I don't blame them. But I cant eat there either. + No bathrooms. Oh well. read more

Pitopia's food is fabulous. The menus are inspired and with so many delicious choices, it's hard to decide what to eat! And, if you think Kosher food is not for you, a meal at Pitopia's will definitely change your mind! We have been to this restaurant many times for lunch. The staff is friendly and attentive and they make you feel very welcome. Their Chef has such an imagination and of course his food is to die for! His dishes are totally unique. He obviously uses only the best ingredients. I was blown away by the freshness and superior quality of the produce he used in the salads and vegetable dishes (who ever supplies the produce to this restaurant deserves a gold star!). Also the pitopia falafel was out of this world. We highly recommend this restaurant not only for the food and service, but also the convenient location close to midtown attractions. Definitely a 5 star !!! read more

I love Pitopia's. Went there several times for lunch with my friends and colleagues. As for me, Their Falafel sandwich and Shawarma is the most favorite food item in this world. I don't know how they prepare it and I have no interest in their recipe too. I just want them here as long as I stay here. As for the catering, I used them many times and they have never disappointed. They are the best caterers I have used, when ordering for over 20 people. I ordered a falafel platter (pita bread, falafel balls, hummus, Israeli salad, pickles, tehina) which costs me around $7 per person, I picked it all up myself, but they packed it all very well, and I got quite a lot of food for what I paid for. The food tasted homemade and was exceptional and delicious. Pluses: *Outstanding Food *Reasonable Price *Lots of Choice *Friendly Staff What more do I expect from them??? :) read more

Pitopia's catered my daughter's Christening party. The food was delicious and we received many compliments on how good the food tasted. Many of the guests even mentioned that they wanted to use Pitopia's for their upcoming events. At the end of the day all the business cards and menus left behind were gone. We ordered enough for 100 people and there was plenty left over. The food was such a hit, the guests took most of the leftovers home. The shawarma, shnitzel--breaded and seasoned chicken cutlet in a pita or buegette were some of the favorites. Pitopia was very easy to work with and very accommodating to any changes we had. Delivery and pickup were handled very professionally and we had a very pleasant experience. I highly recommend using Pitopia's Catering and will continue to use them for my future events. read more

I think this place deserves a gold medal. It is a hidden gem located in midtown NYC. Give it a try if you ever get that chance . Most of the time I have to be busy with my business and therefore I don't have enough time to go out for my meal. I usually order my food for delivery and that's why I know the actual reality !!! Maximum time I had to eat ice cold food just because of delivery difficulties. Finally, I found Pitopia most helpful for delivery service. Also, it's a kosher restaurant and I am a great fan of kosher. Every time I ordered from Pitopia, it arrived within 30-45 minutes, and I have to say, I'm impressed by their outstanding service !!! I also love their delicious food includes Israeli falafel and Shawarma sandwiches, came with fresh salads. I highly recommend this restaurant. read more

This is a fairly new falafel joint that recently opened not too long ago and is quite different from other falafel places that I've been to. Everything here is kosher friendly and suitable to all those who are non-meat eaters. Here's how it works: you simply order your falafel in the pita; they put your pita with falafels in the box; you have an open salad/condiment bar where you stuff your pita with whatever you like in them; then you enjoy your creation. The freedom to create your own falafel pita has never been better, and can fill your stomach quick since you can continuously add condiments to your falafel sandwich. At the end when you're done eating, simply head to the back where a sink is conveniently located for you to clean your hands. read more

Pitopia is one of the most popular and modern restaurants in Midtown, New York City. I thought this place costs me much more than any other restaurants so, I ignored it before. I saw a lot of people during lunchtime and other times and wondering what attracts these people??? So, I made a decision to try it. I ordered a pitopia falafel with hummus, Israeli salad and pickles ($5.95) and believe it or not that may just be the best falafel I've ever had. Their salads are also fresh and delicious. I used to eat there since that day because the price of items seems fair to me. I have tried almost every item listed on their menu. Pitopia is definitely worth trying! read more

This restaurant was recommended to me by a friend in NYC. They told me how great it was and the type of experience they had, so I decided to give it a try. They certainly were not wrong at all! They serve Falafel sandwiches, Shawarma sandwiches, Schnitzel sandwiches and a wide variety of salads, sauces, soups and drinks. The service there is impeccable. Everyone was kind and very pleasant. The food there was fantastic. And it is centrally located in midtown, so if you are staying nearby, this is a fantastic choice to go. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a place to have the best dining experience in NYC. read more

ORDER FROM HERE! Or eat in, but I must rave about the take out. I'm curious if there is a falafel guy on my roof making my order, it arrives so fast... I have actually ordered from here some nights where I was confident it would take more time to pull ingredients out of my own fridge and make a sandwich. As for the food, the falafel is good, well-seasoned and crispy, the hummus is also quite tasty with a couple chickpeas decorating the top. I'm also quite in love with the fresh salad and sauces. I don't know how they make it so perfect but one thing I can tell you. It's amazing !!! read more

I took the day off on New Years to head to the big city from New Jersey. I saw a Jewpon.com deal for this place and thought it was worth a shot. At first we walked by it twice because it is NOT on Broadway, it's on the side street. When we walked in we were greeted by a lovely happy go lucky clean staff and store. The falafel balls were HUGE, what a treat. The food was all so fresh. The major let down was the stools, we kept sliding off them. Clean , friendly and priced right. Does not get much better than that. And by the way the store was busy busy busy, that is always a good sign. read more

In midtown, it's really tough to get a clean, healthy and fresh lunch. I recommend Pitopia to get all of it. Once the falafel lures you in, the pitas will ensure you're a regular. Homemade, fluffy white and whole wheat pitas. These pitas (and everything else in the salad bar) are made fresh daily and the freshness makes everything taste like it was made to order. Nothing on the salad bar was soggy from sitting out buffet style -- the Tomato-Pickle Salad through Cabbage-Beet Salad had kept their crisp crunch. The hummus was smooth and flavorful. read more

I don't know what everyone is talking about... I walked in to this place for the very first time later in the eveneing thinking eh it's the end of the day I'll probably get a soggy falafel from the salad sitting all day and earlier falafel balls! but NOOO i got a hot crispy pita, salad made fresh, and such hot tasty falafel balls. One word AMAZING!!!!! I simply enjoyed every single bite of this sandwich. I ordered a yeminite soup as well to take home i just finished the cup and id like some more. This place so far has good food. I loved it!! read more

I had the one at broadway few times (2 starts), The pita was cold and they precut the Shawarma so is cold somtimes and little rubbery. But I had the one on 9th ave and it was great, I think they cut it on the roll by the order, it was worm, the pita was hot and felt like fresh, and the service is great. So if you like to enjoy your Shawarma expiriance go to the one on 9th ave. 6/6/16 I was there yesterday to give it one more chance but and NO MORE, its a waist of $12 (I think).... read more

Food is quite good but the new owner has a serious attitude problem which I noticed during the soft opening. Had another encounter with him today and I'll be damned if I spend another dime there. Talk about attitude - this guy knows zip about customer service. It's the closest kosher restaurant to where I work but I'll happily tread to Broadway rather than give this dude the business. He thinks he's manning the velvet ropes at a jazz club but it's only a fast food stand. read more

We were in NYC a few days after Memorial Day and felt like treating ourselves to a special meal. Good kosher restaurants are expensive in NYC but Pitopia's was recommended to us for its high-quality food and relatively reasonable prices. We were not disappointed. The food original, creative and super delicious (with pretty generous portions), the service was amazing. The pitopia falafel and shawarma had been just awesome. I think we should come here more often. read more

Usually the pita isn't bad especially with all the free toppings. However, around 5:40p today, a homeless guy was allowed to roam around and hassle customers while they ate. The guy even hovered around the open toppings bar and NONE of the employees (kids really) at the register noticed. Gross. HUGE turn-off. It would go a long way to being more hygenic if they would install a lower shield (~8 inches) above the toppings bar. read more
