I usually go for Mexican Monday. $1 tacos are good. Have had a burger there couple of times and they are not bad either. The desserts are also ok, nothing wow about them. The 1 time I ordered french onion soup it was horrible. It was obvious onions were added to stretch the soup as they were slightly aldente. I've had the takeout many times and when I finally went in I couldn't understand why it wasn't flooded with customers. I haven't had a single dish from appetizers to entrees that I didn't think was spectacular. The pierogies and kielbasa dish was phenomenal. The flatbread pizzas are great. Most recently I had the bacon wrapped scallops and they were not only cooked perfectly, but the sauce was to die for. It's a hole in the wall bar with a "dive" feel that a bunch of younger locals tend to frequent. Pitney is definitely all about their regulars. At times it can get a little rowdy so if you're an outsider and this doesn't sound like your scene, take heed. On a lighter note there's music, pool, and tables to sit down if you have a group. We love Pitney Pub! We are regulars and have never had a bad meal. Tonight we tried the beef kebabs and they were full of flavor, as expected. The fries and pita bread are unique and delicious too. The staff is always friendly and attentive, and the owner always gives a friendly wave when onsite. They always have great happy hour specials, and they make a great martini. New to South Jersey and was taken here by a local. He said it had recently changed hands (last couple of years) and now the food is excellent. I didn't know what to compare it to before, but the food was very good. Fish tacos were tasty, shrimp curry especially good, and I had a weird but delightful FunnelCake beer that was on tap. The place is clean, spacious and modern especially for a pub. The Chef even came out to see if our meal was good! I've been back a few times since then and I still really like the place. I have to say that the prices are pretty high, but the food is excellent to match. Just don't go expecting cheap pub prices. $1 Taco Thursdays are a great deal. Flavorful beef or chicken tacos with decent toppings. I saw a sign somewhere near the bar where it said there is a 4 taco minimum, but I've ordered less than that and never been hassled which is a big plus to me. They were out of their $2 Dos Equis and didn't have another beer deal to replace it so that was a bummer. Otherwise a good experience. An easy 4 stars. read more

Went to the Pitney Pub to watch a great band and really enjoyed the outdoor venue. The waiters were fantastic taking care of everyone wit ease. The food was good. We really enjoyed the samosas and also had the chicken sandwich. The owner was very present monitoring the service and helping the staff. Visiting the Galloway area this establishment was recommended and boy did it deliver ! The dinning area is nicely lite and inviting even with the chit chat from the bar area it's not annoying just people having fun. I noticed the music was of my liking too. Our server was friendly and he was more then happy to modify our order as requested - how refreshing! Our orders were great hot and flavorful. A Gyro sandwich and Calzone the in-house chips wonderful. Had a glass of local brewed beer to add to the fun. There are specials listed on a board at the entrance. The Pitney manages to provide something to everyone without diluting it's own identity. Want good food above standard fare? You got it. Need a regular hangout for happy hour? I did and i found it here. Are you a college student looking to blow off steam? The transition to that crowd is almost imperceptible as the night moves in. Breakfast or brunch after church? What would you do? I watched the bartender cowardly call a customer a n*gger when he was halfway out the door. Then she continued on to say f*uck that n*gger two other times. Once she realized I was sitting at the bar (being the only black person there at the time) she looked me straight in the eyes and said, " I don't even care." The owner's apology and way of making things right was appalling. He first tried to tell me that he couldn't fire her, and to please come on a day when she was not working for free drinks and food. Then questioned the situation as if it didn't happen that way and maybe it was a "misunderstanding". I then found out days later that she was "written up". No suspension no termination. I'm disgusted that a person of this disdain to throw such hate over the bar to paying customers is employed here. Never stepping foot into this establishment again. read more

Pitney Pub has gone through many incarnations, all of them falling flat on their face. Blue Marlin tanked, Pitney Tavern tanked, and the owner has chosen to go in a completely different direction with Pitney Pub. Went in on a Sunday night; place wasn't crowded at all. TVs were turned to ESPN but were muted so people could play money from the digital jukebox. Love those things. Pitney Pub is very modern looking now; all red and well-lit and with funky portraits of Bob Marley and Marilyn Monroe. It's a stark contrast from the outside. It actually looks like a diner in here. It's very open and spacious, and the bar is barely separate from the dining area. It was a definite mixed crowd here; not in a bad way. Our bartender was a bit clueless and just seemed "off." Asked him if they carried B&B, and first he gave me a deer-in-headlights look, then he chuckled, then he said "no," and then he said "wait, what's that?" I just replied that a vodka cranberry would be fine. My drink and boyfriend's Yuengling came to a total of $8--nice!! We didn't order food, but the menu looked decent. A table of toolbags behind us ordered wings, which came out smelling soooo good. I will say, the owner is a VERY smart businessman. Upon seeing 5 new patrons at his bar (none of us had been there before), he offered to do a round of shots with us, on the house. He made us chocolate covered pretzels: whipped cream vodka and frangelico, with a lick of salt afterwards. Sooo good! He was a genuinely cool guy. The one complaint I have is that after my first vodka cranberry, my drinks kept getting progressively weaker. Not terribly, but if I continue to pay the same price for a drink throughout the night, I expect it to contain the same amount of liquor until I'm slurring my words. This place has always been a huge hangout for the Stockton College crowd, so I'm not sure I'd ever go Thursday-Saturday. It definitely needs to be warmed up in there; the place could use a dose of color (other than red tables and chairs, everything was white.) Not bad if you're a local who wants to drink cheap or you don't want to be in the city. read more

Not the normal pub fare, somewhat elevated. Great Calamari, Salads, and other standard selections. I love the Arugula Pizza and the Tuna Tartare appetizer. The pot pie is great comfort food, very good and warming. The fish specials are truly good, but the standard fish fare maybe not as great. It's not a huge menu, but there is a surprising range. Weekend nights there may be a live band. Place is not crowded at mealtimes. Mostly attentive wait staff. read more

Was there this past Sat night 11/11/17 because they had live music. Band was great, staff was horrible. Male bartender seem to have a chip on his shoulder, waitress was non existent, and the other female bartender had to come from behind the bar and take our food order because the male bartender got it wrong twice. Food was alright once they got it right, but based on the service, I will not be going back. Now I know why we don't go there when there is so many option in our town. read more

Ok let me start out by saying when the bouncers are the coolest staff members that's a bad sign. I observed several shady thing while at pitney pub. The one guy bartender the skinny blonde one pulled the bait and switch(switching premium quality liquor for the cheap shit). I ordered a double captain and coke what I received was captain Morgan water down with Cruzan rum so much so that it had none of Captain Morgan's signiture flavor. Needless to say if it was a $7 drink ok I'll cut my loses, but at $12.50 I was pissed, I confronted the bartender about it and was immediately flagged (mind you I'm 350# I can handle my booze not to mention that it was my first drink!) So I decided to chill and convers with my friends then we observed the same bartender taking a bottle of popov vodka($12 a 750ml) and filling a nearly empty bottle of gray goose (around $34 a 750ml) needless to say this is the last time I will ever step foot in this establishment. read more

He charged me for stuff I didn't order, and when I confronted him about it, was rudely shoved off and had to take it to the next bartender. Money was thrown at me in an attempt to right the wrong I guess but it was annoying. The next bartender fixed it and handled it for me. Been living in the area for years and always saw their specials posted on the side of the road for 2 two topping pizzas and a salad for 17 bucks so decided to give it a try...
