3/4/26 03:02 HRS Store #9692 7715 FM 1960 Bypass Rd; Humble, Tx…read more I am a regular customer at this site because it is so close to my home and at the end of the night I do not want to cook. The food is well-prepard and hot when I receive it. I came in late tonight and decided to do some work on my laptop while I ate. I was surprised to hear the waitress have to check with the cook to make sure the kitchen had enough hamburger meat to make one of the signature meals on your menu. With every customer thereafter she had to check with the cook before she could enter an order. She would suggest another order for which kitchen did have food. Most of the time the customer would order a meal that was less expensive than the original meal. I waitressed while I put myself through school. The first thing I learned is that a resturant cannot make money if you do NOT have food to cook for the signature orders on the menu. It negatively affects the tips the waitresses make, so you run the risk of losing good employees, It is the dependable employees that bring in the regular customers. I come in because Alicia is a very good waitress. She does an excellent job of taking care of all the customers. She gives the same quality of service to every customer, whether there is one table or several tables. She remembers what the regular customer likes and sees to it that the customer has a positive experience. It seems to me that if you want this little spot to grow, you have to make the best of the location. I think there is a management issue here that needs to be addressed before the place closes. It is near the airport. It should be busy every night. Please put an advertisement on the sign by !960 so you get more local customers coming in as well as those coming from the airport looking for a place to eat. Hand outs at the Scottish Inn right across Lee Blvd would bring in foot traffic as those that stay there during the week and on the weeend will walk over to get a meal. These are observations noted on just one night. Getting this input from customers on all shifts woud make a big difference. Thank you, Ellen Pavela empavela@ aol.com

My wife and I visited Denny's around 1:00 AM, and unfortunately, it turned into one of the worst…read moredining experiences we've had. To start, the young man who took our order was polite and professional. However, while he initially took our drink order, the drinks were never brought to our table. By the time our food arrived, we still had no beverages. Veronica later noticed this and stepped in, taking over as our waitress--but by then, the experience had already started off poorly. Things quickly got worse. My wife ordered a breakfast burrito, and just before taking a bite, she noticed a hair in her food. Trying to avoid making a scene, she calmly approached the counter and informed Veronica. Instead of responding with genuine concern, Veronica said, "So sorry, that's not my hair," and casually relayed the issue to the cook. The cook, a Caucasian male with sandy hair and a beard, acknowledged the situation, and we were told the burrito would be remade at no charge. When the replacement meal was brought out, Veronica made a completely inappropriate comment: "Here's your food--minus the hair," as if the situation was something to joke about. This was highly unprofessional and disrespectful, especially considering the nature of the issue. To make matters worse, once my wife received the remade burrito, the sausage inside was not fully cooked and tasted funny. At that point, she chose not to eat at all, which was extremely disappointing and unacceptable from a food safety standpoint. Additionally, while we were seated at our table, water began leaking from the ceiling. Moments later, part of the ceiling gave way and collapsed onto the floor just a few feet away from us. This created a serious safety concern and added to an already unacceptable experience. When it was time to settle the bill, a man we assumed to be a supervisor or manager asked if everything was okay. We told him it was not. At that point, Veronica overheard and laughed while agreeing, and shockingly, the manager also began laughing. What should have been taken seriously was instead treated like a joke. Rather than escalate the situation, I calmly stated that I would not be paying for anything due to the experience. The manager simply said "okay" and walked away. Situations involving food safety, customer service, and overall customer safety should never be handled this way. The lack of accountability, concern, and professionalism was unacceptable. We will not be returning to this location and will be sharing this experience with others. This is not how a business should be run.

I was staying at a hotel nearby for an early flight the next morning. On the way to the hotel I…read moresaw the sign "Hot Biscuit" and since biscuits are one of my favorite foods, I decided to walk over and have dinner there. I wanted to start with one biscuit, but the biscuits come in pairs. The waitress said I could order just one anyway, but the order ended up being two. I meant to save the second one for breakfast, but that was not to be. It did not survive long enough to make it out the door. My actual meal was a bacon swiss and mushroom burger, which was excellent. Between the biscuits and the burger, I am forced to acknowledge that it was entirely too much food. Sadly, that did not prevent me from eating all of it anyway. Delicious! The restaurant, which is a diner with very basic decor, is on an approach road to IAH, and is open 24/7. When I arrived in the evening, the place was empty. By the time I left, there were a whole bunch of customers. I noticed in other reviews that people were saying they did not receive checks for their meal and felt they were over-charged at the register. I did not receive a check either, but the amount I was charged at the register seemed accurate -- and I was paying attention because I had read the other reviews first.
