Got into town around dinner time and was looking for some good bbq for dinner. Stopped here based…read moreon the reviews on here and it didn't disappoint. You order at the counter and then they give you a number and they bring your food out to you. They have serve yourself drinks and tea and bbq etc I opted for the prime rib. I would have preferred it to be cooked a little more as a personal preference. However it did have a nice flavor and seasoning on it. The green beans are whole but they have flavor unlike some places. Jalapeno spoon bread was delicious it's like corn casserole met cornbread. Hubby got the sampler platter with smoked turkey, ribs, brisket and salmon. Fun fact they will let you sample the meats before you decide on which ones you want. The salmon was hands down the best salmon he ever had he said. It completely hit different and would definitely order again The brisket was juicy and had a great bark on it with amazing flavor and seasoning Turkey wasn't dry at all and had a great smoked flavor Ribs were fall off the bone good with yet again great seasoning Baked beans- didn't care for these at all they tasted like ketchup Mac and cheese was just basic wouldn't order again Potato salad was the best side out of the ones he got. They also bring half a load of bread More than enough to share

I prefer chicken so I had been wanting to try this place. All were good and I am fairly picky with bbq. I which they had a few different bbq sauces but I won't down them for that as the flavor of the one they had was good. Service was good. You walk up and order. Food was given out quickly. We didn't get to try the ribs as we were told they were out but sounded like they just didnt have the next batch ready. Wish we would have been told that cause we would have waited but not a huge deal. Owner was there, at least I think he was the owner, and he was going around to each table to make sure everything was good. That was appreciated. I always appreciate when the owners are there and personable.

While we were in Humble we visited Porky's Backyard. The vibe alone made it worth checking out…read more Great service and plenty of TVs to catch the football games, good music, drinks, and exotic cars displayed throughout the place. Definitely not your typical sports bar. We grabbed a bucket of Modelos and Coronas, watched some football and just hung out for a while. I also liked that they had food trucks surrounding the place, so you have plenty of options when you get hungry. The Blacken Shrimp Tacos and fries we grabbed were really good too. Overall, just a fun, laid-back spot with a little something different. Good drinks, football, food trucks and exotic cars, hard to complain about that combination. I'd definitely stop by again next time I'm in Humble.

My daughter and I visited Porky's Food Truck Park on a Friday night around 9:00 p.m. We've been…read morehere several times before, although it had probably been about three months since our last visit, and this experience was definitely different from what we remembered. Normally, Porky's is packed, so I was surprised that we were able to park right in the front. There were cars in the parking lot, but once we walked inside, there really weren't many people. We also noticed a sign at the entrance stating no children under 18. My daughter is 17 and was with me, so we went in together without an issue. We walked around checking out the different food trucks and eventually decided on a Smash Burger. The burger was absolutely delicious! No complaints at all about the food. Where things got confusing was around 9:30 p.m. We went to the bar to order drinks and get some ice, only to discover that the bar was already closed. The music had stopped, people were leaving, and it appeared that the entire inside area was shutting down. We were really surprised because the advertised closing time online was 2:00 a.m. Even the food trucks seemed to have different closing times. The truck we ordered from told us we were their last order because they were closing at 10:00 p.m. He explained that their truck is owned by Porky's, while some of the other trucks are independently operated and have their own hours. Another family arrived while we were waiting for our food and was just as confused as we were. They had specifically come because they expected a lively atmosphere and multiple food options. After realizing things were shutting down, they decided to leave. That was probably the most disappointing part. Porky's used to be somewhere you could come later in the evening and expect music, people, food trucks, drinks, and a fun atmosphere. This time, by 9:30 on a Friday night, it felt like the night was already over. My daughter and I still enjoyed ourselves because our purpose was really to spend some time together, talk, and enjoy each other's company, and those burgers were GOOD! But I definitely think the hours need to be clearer. If the main area and bar close around 9:30 and individual food trucks have different hours, that should be communicated online so people know what to expect before making the trip. Hopefully this was just an unusual night, because we've enjoyed Porky's in the past. I would definitely come back for the food, but next time I would come much earlier.

Parking is limited, so I'd suggest arriving around 10 AM. We got there at 10:15 AM on a Saturday…read moreand found parking, but the lot filled up quickly. If you arrive early, be sure to grab a number from the binder on the water cooler table near the front door. The staff also walks around offering drinks while you wait, which was a nice touch. Around 10:45 AM, everyone lines up according to their number. We were #24, and it took us almost 40 minutes to reach the front and place our order. We ordered: -1 lb moist brisket -1/2 lb garlic sausage link -1.5 lbs prime beef rib (feeds 2-3 people) -CS tacos with pulled pork (comes with 2 tacos) For sides, we got the coleslaw, potato salad, mac & cheese, cobbler, and smoked beans. I really liked the smoked beans and cobbler! Everything was absolutely delicious and worth the wait. All of the meats were flavorful, juicy, and tender. The CS tacos were good, and I highly recommend getting the pulled pork to go with them. The prime beef rib was the standout for me. They only offer it on Saturdays, so definitely get it if you're there. The staff was friendly and attentive. Despite being busy, they checked on us frequently and even helped clear our table multiple times. Thanks to the incredible service, delicious food, and welcoming atmosphere, I had a great start to my weekend!

I've been wanting to swing by for a visit ever since I've moved to Houston, and wow, was it worth…read moreit! The food here was the real deal and they should be proud of having earned a Michelin Star, as well as being one of the top American-style BBQ restaurants in the world (only 4 hold a Michelin Star). The people that work here are also friendly and helpful, honestly such a chill vibe, which helps you get into the right mood for some bbq. What surprised me was that I ordered the Stuffed Potato Salad on a whim and it was out of this world! Warm potato salad (taste way better than it sounds) covered in chopped briskets, queso, ranch salsa, and green onions was so comforting and so delicious, I was crying! I also ordered a 1/2 of brisket and even though I had to take it home to finish work, it remained so tender and moist even after the drive home. The crust/bark was also so flavorful without being too much and I'm glad it wasn't just a hard layer of black pepper that was hard to crunch through. I'm also not really a coleslaw type of person, but their sweet & spicy coleslaw was the best I've ever had. I wolfed that down and would definitely get it again! We all need more fiber in our diet anyway and thankfully this is a painless way to do it (unless you can't handle the touch of spice I suppose). I'd really like to come back on a Saturday morning sometime with another sucker to accompany me, because an hour drive plus an hour or two wait on line is quite a big commitment. But the beef ribs are definitely on my radar and I probably will want to try their turkey, cobbler, and mac & cheese sometime. I'm also happy to say that even though I came late on a Thursday near closing and a lot of things were sold out, they still had brisket and that's my favorite cut of meat. I'll definitely have to swing by next time I have errands around here.
