I been going here for years best teriyaki chicken bowls you can find. The chicken teriyaki burger is really good as well. I try to eat here as often as I could the food is super fresh and they give you great portions. The one tip I can give you if you are picking up food order ahead they always have people waiting for food. Even when I order ahead sometimes I have to wait 2 mins for my food but it is worth it. read more

For a hole in the wall place, excellent value for your money plus I love their teriyaki! Their sauce isn't overwhelming or overly sweet. We ordered dbl beef plates. Mine lasted 3 meals!!! Comes with a basic grilled buttered hamburger bun which I can never replicate at home, it's so good. The cabbage salad is also basic, crunchy and goes well with the whole meal. Whoa! I thought rascals down the street was good but nope. Came down to this joint to try out there teriyaki plate and oh boy was this place way better than rascals. The meat quality is fresh compared to rascals chewy meat. It's like eating bites of carne asada from this place. The meat is just good overall. Which made me like this place a lot more than any other spot in the south bay for teriyaki bowls or plates. I always order the chicken teriyaki plate. Their meat isn't dry, the portions are fair for their price (it also comes with bread and a small salad), and although they have a small staff they don't leave you waiting too long for food. It's not located in the nicest part of Gardena, but if you look past that, you'll find your newest teriyaki spot. read more

How can I say this. H o o d f a v o r i t e. Good food. Good people. It's not idealistic for dining in. But what do they sell ? Charbroiled beef chicken & steak. well ive eaten here before so not sure why i decided to try it again.had a chicken rice bowl once that was very dry with average terriyaki sauce.another time had a corn dog that was way over cooked.yesterday a co worker decoded to go so i said get me a chili dog ill give em one more chance.one of the worst ive ever had.bun seemed like it was old and had been micro waved to revive it.very little chili and the dog was over cooked.my co worker had the terriyaki burger which looked like someone had sat on it.well three strikes and there out !!! dont waste your money on poor quality food.i find all the 5 star ratings surprising.i wish i had taken a picture of the food. read more

Found this place driving through Gardena and by the looks of it, I've been here before lol placed our order: teriyaki chicken plate w/ rice and single teriyaki chicken burger. While we waited, I was surprised by the interior. Half of the tables appear to be old arcade games that are now used as tables. The place is clean but I remember some tables being tagged on but besides that, ok. Food was great! Chicken tasted better than other places I've tried and I ended having the teriyaki steak burger which I thought I didn't order but it's ok because it was delicious! To drink orange bang. I always got the the beef teriyaki (because that's what my big brother always ordered, and of course, I follow suit) - you get a styrofoam box with thinly sliced grilled beef teriyaki over a lot of white rice, cabbage salad with dressing and a couple pickles, and half a hamburger bun buttered up on the grill. Pitburger is my dads favorite place to eat. He used to take me here all the time and I would ask for an extra bun....(those of you who know) But the place hasnt changed a bit. It still looks like a hole in the wall and hasnt seen any renovations. However people still line up for a teri plate or teri burger on a regualr basis. It's just good food. Simple as that. It has an extremely simple menu and the prices are low. You can eat here and feed your family here and it wont hurt you. I love the Pitburger but never understood the name. I've been going to PitBurger for the last 30+ years, I started in High School and now as an adult, its a modest place, little or no frills but you go for the Teriyaki, cause its the best. They even have a cash register from the 60's and they only take cash, but I still recommend it 100%. read more
