One of the best pita places in south Florida... We usually share a felafel platter and we rarely finish it as so much food. You get 6 perfectly cooked felafel and 2 large warm soft pita breads. Your choice of salads on the separate plate plus there is another free salad bar with pickled veggies. We usually get the humus, eggplant salad, tabouli, and mixed Cukes & tomatoes. As my husband likes spicy we get spicy sauce on the side and tehina on the side too. You can make different types of mini sandwiches tearing off bits of the pita or just use the salads. From the side bar my favorites are the pink pickled turnips. My husband likes the cabbage & carrots. It's really not much of a place basically being a counter order or take out operation located in strip mall that's clearly seen better days near a used motorcycle shop, next door to tropical fish store and nearby incense and hookah shops. However, when it comes to food, I have to admit they are pretty darn good serving up one of the best shwarma and appetizers of rice stuffed grape leaves around. From a large upright looking skew the shave off the lamb and turkey as you watch filling your pita bread shwarma with that and whatever else you might want thought I ordered mine with the works. It clearly has a strong Israeli following with everything kosher which was very evident to me by the fact that out of the 14 people present only myself and the cash register girl weren't wearing skullcaps, yarmulkes, kippahs or whatever, but since I don't know anything about them, don't take my word for exactly what it was that they were wearing on their heads. I've had a lot of shwarma sandwiches in past and though I remain rather unknowledgeable about them, I do know good food when I taste it and Pita Plus is amongst the best with a really superb pita and totally fresh tasting ingredients. Noticing that their shwarma was somewhat different than those served at nearby Noor Bakery I did make inquiry, but was only told that Noor makes a chicken Lebanese with creamy garlic sauce and that theirs were the original Israeli style shwarma. Naturally they inferred that the Israeli style is superior to the Lebanese but of course when inquiring at Noor about that claim, the folks at Noor were rather adamant that the Lebanese are superior to Israeli. About the only conclusion I can reach is that they are both very good. Attempting to judge between the two would be about as silly as judging Swedish meatballs to Italian meatballs; rather pointless. Having admitted my limited knowledge of anything Israeli or Lebanese, if I've made any incorrect statements, I'd greatly appreciate any input or corrections to what I've said. read more

Yummo! Pita Plus is a local kosher/Israeli restaurant that's only a mile or two from where I love. Although it's so close I don't come here often. No reason why, but I need to change that. The few times I've been here I've loved it. They have great shawarma and falafel AND the portions are huge! One bonus - it's always packed and you'll hear most of the patrons speaking Israeli... Which is usually a good sign when you're at an "ethnic restaurant". Today's visit was due to a random craving for falafel. I opted for the sangwich version, loaded with everything, which was served in a delicious pita and stuffed full with hummus, tahini, cucumber salad, cabbage, and what I think is an eggplant salad mixture. There's probably other stuff crammed in there, but that's all I can recall at the moment. This. Thing. Was. Huge. I was tempted to tempted to order a side with it, but I'm really glad I didn't... I'm stuffed! There is a small condiment station with some pickled veggies: cabbage, beets, and pickles. Adds a nice crunch and zing to your meal. Wanted to stop by here and take my order to go. Luckily I did as this place was packed. This was on a Friday night around 8:30pm. Ordered the Pita Plus Mix and had EVERYTHING filled into the pita as well as an extra order of Shawarma plate. At first I didn't understand what the guy behind the counter asked me, but later i did if I wanted the meat off the grill instead of inside the pita bread for my Shawarma plate. Going this route, the pitas were put on the side. The guy even gave me a taste of the falafel he just took off the fryer. That thing was delicious!!! I told the guy that it was my first time there and he said 4 words- "You're gonna like it!" When I took my dinner back to my place, I couldn't wait to dig in. The smell of the flavors were coming through the bag. I was trying to figure out the blends of spices that they put into the meat because it was so damn delicious. The flavor tasted like 5 spice or some other type of spice, but man was it great!!! I'm going back for some of that falafel. I try to avoid that as much since other falafels I've tasted in the past were either burnt and tasteless. Not this one!! The reason why I didn't give this place a full 5 star review was because of the flies I saw buzzing around the salad bar which had the pickled condiments. So overpriced and salty as hell. Super disappointed. I went years ago and wanted to give a shot. Was so salty threw it in the garbage.

I had been hearing about this restaurant for a long time and have been itching to go. I happened to be in the area so I stopped by. When I walked in on a Friday after noon, it was full full full, and the line was up to the door (this is a counter service restaurant). The line moved fast and I got to the front within 5 minutes. I ordered a chicken shawarma platter and a Nesher Malt. I thought I wouldn't be able to find a seat but by the time I paid, a few opened up. I told the cashier that it was my first time there and she warmly welcomed me and directed me to the free self serve pickles of all kinds. The shawarma was very well seasoned and all the salads were delicious too. The hummus was fresh and the pitas were fluffy and fresh as well. The pickles were everything I wanted and more. Came here for the first time with a couple of friends who said this was hands down the best shawarma spot in the city! Let me tell you they were not wrong!! Jeez! You can tell the difference between this authentic beef & other places'! We had 2 Kebab Baguettes & 2 shawarma baguettes and it was just spectacular! A shawarma pita from Pita Plus with everything medium spicy and a side of their pickles is one of my favorite meals hands down. The ingredients and all the toppings have always been fresh and tasty and they really do a quality job cooking all their different dishes and toppings. Service is quick and efficient. You basically stand in the line and order at the kitchen counter and pick your toppings. The amazing pickles that are self service are very delicious and are a must. "You're 100% correct we viewed the video on our cameras of the incident same night we saw that the customer was not wearing his mask and we saw that one of our employees had a mask under his nose as well as our cashier wearing it under her nose we went ahead and address the employees about the situation ..." New Years and years hobby. Twice a month, I will select a place in a cup to different culture. So I grabbed Gyro. So next step is, googling a spot, but hit just any spot. I wanted no fancy restaurant, more family own. I'm so glad I picked Thai spot, very well informed about the food your about to eat and very friendly and respectful environment. Must try the Shawrma, mouth watering. I'm an extra sauce girl, so for me I would request more lol. The line move quick but the downfall is that there is no parking during lunch time. Not a very convenient place to pick up food for a quick bite. Other than that, the food was delicious.
