I've been coming to this place for a little while now and not sure why I haven't reviewed it yet. First and foremost the place could use a bit of a revamp and maybe some remodeling of the floors and the bathrooms. Doesn't look terrible but could be better. But what really matters is the food right? They prep each mornings so the ingredients are always fresh! Usually, I get a pita with falafels or a pita shawarma. For both, I have them put Turkish and Israeli salad inside the pita along with hummus and this hot sauce they have. I don't shy on the eggplant and the red cabbage either. They usually top it off with this yogurt sauce (must have, gives it so much flavor!!!) or they serve it in a small side cup for you to dip it with. There is so much texture on every bite that your taste buds just wanna thank you! If you're in the mood for a good vegetarian lunch. Try the falafel on a pita. If you're a carnivore, get the shawarma with the pita. You can't go wrong with both! read more

Walked in at 8:05pm yesterday waited 10 minutes for a shawarma pita. Israeli salad had tomatoes on top and cucumbers not mixed in without seasoning. The pita was a generic brand not warmed up stale. Shawarma chicken was cold and very dry. Picked spicy carrots we're old and very sweet. Cabbage was soggy. I called today to try and resolve issue since I live at 5790 Stirling rd 300 feet away. They were rude over the phone excuse was all the employees ate the shawarma that day and it was good. What a great place! If you love middle eastern food you're going to love this place. I had to go up to Fort Lauderdale on a weekday and not knowing the area, yelped to see what was available for lunch close by. This place came up and I headed over there. It is located in a small shopping center, when you go into the restaurant there is a counter with different types of salads on the left and there's is also a complimentary salad bar for customers on the right. I ordered a falafel platter and the server asked me what sides I wanted, he suggested I get a little bit of everything and I followed his advice. The food was delicious, the falafel was cooked after I ordered it and the salads were excellent. It is very hard to find a good middle eastern place in South Florida but this place was a great choice. I liked it a lot and plan to return to try other dishes. read more

Located in a small, almost hidden plaza, Pita Star does not disappoint. It is delicious fast casual Israeli food in a clean setting. Three flat screens adorned the walls with 2 TVs playing Israeli music (I think) and the other Peppa pig. For a fast casual experience, I really enjoyed the food. They have an array of fresh and pickled colorful salads that are very good. Upon entering, there is a salad bar that you can serve yourself. Behind the counter are different salads available that are served with plates and sandwiches. The hummus and tahini are quite tasty. We ordered the young chicken plate for 18.95 that was enough for my partner and I to share. I will definitely come back to try more. read more

They have a good selection of fresh salad choices and sauces to customize the lafa, and delicious crispy falafel balls. My daughter loves this place. It is really great. Like stepping into a Pita Place in Israel. The menu is clear and detailed. We had Shawrma, Chicken Kabob and Falafel pitas. The food is delicious. Main ingredient, toppings and complimentary pickles and cole slaws etc. The fries came out a bit well done, they need to change the oil. There is a new guy working there is very helpful and funny. We tried this one after trying Boca Grill in Boca Raton. As much as Boca Gril was a disaster, Pita Star was a very positive experience. The chef is Israeli and knows what he's doing.
